Transmigrated Before the Scum A Tortured the Female Lead (GL) - Chapter 17
It would take some time for Song Jiao to finalize the housekeeping arrangements. Xu Jinzhao parked the car in a parking space and adjusted the reclining angle of the driver’s seat to make herself more comfortable.
Even though it was autumn, the predicted high temperature for today was two degrees higher than yesterday.
Xu Jinzhao half-reclined in the soft seat, remembering Song Jiao’s question yesterday about whether she would keep her promise to provide backup inhibitors.
The question came suddenly, and after she gave her answer, the Omega didn’t continue.
Xu Jinzhao felt it was unlikely that Song Jiao was asking casually. Song Jiao’s personality had elements of thoughtfulness and caution. Even at 20, she rarely acted impulsively or recklessly.
But she couldn’t figure it out, because the question came without warning, making it impossible to analyze the origin of the thought. What was even stranger was that there was no follow-up.
It was as if it stood alone in everything that happened last night, as if Song Jiao had asked it on a whim.
But the question was, what did Song Jiao think of, and why did her thinking suddenly jump to the channel of inhibiting estrus?
Xu Jinzhao had a bit of a headache and simply stopped thinking about it, turning to consider whether the inhibitors should go through Assistant Qi’s hands.
The original owner always entrusted these small matters to Assistant Qi. This didn’t mean that Assistant Qi was full of energy and could multitask, handling both Xu Boyang’s and Xu Jinzhao’s orders well.
His existence was more like a large transit processing station. Xu family father and daughter issued instructions to him, and he sorted, diverted, and handed them over to professionals for execution.
After the matter was completed, the results were summarized and reported.
This sounds easy, but it was actually extremely difficult.
Being able to sit firmly in the position of Xu Boyang’s assistant for a long time, and later being accepted by Song Jiao as Xu family’s “inheritance,” Qi Yao’s work ability was evident.
However, he was ultimately a probe used by Xu Boyang to monitor [Xu Jinzhao]’s movements.
Xu Jinzhao had no doubt that if she asked Assistant Qi to prepare Omega inhibitors, he would inform Xu Boyang immediately.
However, excessive avoidance of this “probe” was also inappropriate. If Xu Boyang couldn’t monitor her actions, he would become suspicious.
If the issuance of the supplementary card and the hiring of a housekeeper without Assistant Qi were exposed, they could be attributed to private matters and letting one’s wife learn to manage affairs.
But adding that she was hiding from Xu Boyang to prepare inhibitors for Song Jiao was equivalent to directly telling him: Your daughter has turned against you.
Xu Jinzhao finally decided that Assistant Qi should handle it. Buying inhibitors privately was too risky. It was better to be open and aboveboard.
After figuring it out, she quickly edited a text message and sent it to Assistant Qi.
After resolving this matter, Xu Jinzhao still had a hesitant matter.
Hiring a housekeeper was indeed convenient, but who could guarantee that the hired person wouldn’t have bad intentions?
This wasn’t her maliciously speculating on others, but she felt that at least some preventive measures had to be taken.
Xu Jinzhao wanted to install some surveillance equipment at home, but she had just eased her relationship with Song Jiao, and if she suddenly brought it up, Xu Jinzhao was worried that Song Jiao would overthink.
Putting herself in Song Jiao’s shoes, if she were Song Jiao, after slipping out of her controlling wife’s fingers and breathing a little free air, she would be told that surveillance would be installed at home.
Xu Jinzhao probably would have thought that all the previous actions were laying the groundwork for this move.
While she was thinking about how to tell Song Jiao, her phone suddenly rang.
The caller was Qin Lingyue.
Xu Jinzhao wasn’t surprised that Qin Lingyue would call, after all, she had just scared Qin Shaoqian yesterday.
She quickly imagined several possible opening lines and responses, and answered the phone: “Sister Lingyue.”
A woman’s soft, slightly hoarse voice came from the receiver: “Jinzhao, I’m having a party at noon. I’ve invited many friends, including those you usually hang out with. Bring your Song Jiao along.”
The excuse of a party wasn’t unexpected. It was easiest to bring things out into the open in such a public setting. But she didn’t expect Qin Lingyue to invite Song Jiao along.
Xu Jinzhao thought Song Jiao definitely wouldn’t want to attend, so she politely declined: “Song Jiao won’t be going. She’s quiet and doesn’t like these kinds of occasions.”
The other person laughed happily, deliberately leading Xu Jinzhao’s words astray.
“Don’t try to fool me. No young person doesn’t like to have fun. You’ve only been married for a few days. I think you want to go out and have fun without your wife. I’ll tell Song Jiao.”
Qin Lingyue had accurately grasped Xu Jinzhao’s weakness.
Perhaps her intention was to target [Xu Jinzhao]’s psychology, but Xu Jinzhao was really afraid that this woman would say something to Song Jiao and mess up their relationship again.
She had the qualification to stir up trouble regardless of [Xu Jinzhao]’s identity, and the ability to twist the truth with her tongue.
“Sister Lingyue, don’t joke with me…” Xu Jinzhao thought of a response, “I’ll discuss it with Song Jiao.”
Qin Lingyue chuckled: “I’ll send you the address and time. If Song Jiao doesn’t come, I won’t be happy.”
Her last sentence was ambiguous, but it revealed a hint of threat.
After hanging up the phone, Qin Lingyue still had a faint smile on her face. She said to her assistant, “Send out invitations. Invite everyone in Xu Jinzhao’s social circle.”
Song Jiao finalized the selection with the housekeeping company manager, signed the trial contract, and walked out the door.
Xu Jinzhao’s car was parked nearby. She opened the door and got into the car, saying to the Alpha, “The person has been selected. I signed a half-month trial contract. If it doesn’t work out, we can change.”
After the words came out, Song Jiao paused slightly, and her face showed her usual gentle probing.
“There’s something I want to discuss with you.”
Xu Jinzhao was distracted thinking about how to bring up Qin Lingyue’s invitation. Seeing her turn back into a timid kitten, she asked, “What is it?”
“It’s best to install some surveillance in the house. This time we hired a full-time housekeeper. Although I think the person is okay, we can’t guarantee there won’t be any problems.”
After hearing this, Xu Jinzhao almost shouted, “Jiao Jiao, you’re so thoughtful!”
She should have thought of it. With Song Jiao’s extremely suspicious personality, how could she trust the hired person?
Xu Jinzhao readily agreed: “Okay, I’ll have Qi Yao arrange for someone to install it before Monday.”
Seeing Song Jiao show a satisfied smile, Xu Jinzhao took the opportunity to say, “I also have something to discuss with you.”
Song Jiao looked up at her. Xu Jinzhao winked at the Omega:
“Qin Lingyue invited me to take you to a party at noon. She’s Qin Shaoqian’s sister, and her character is much better than her brother’s. Her events aren’t usually chaotic. But it’s up to you. I’ll listen to you.”
The Alpha tilted her head, her cold and charming eyes winking at her, her tone intimate and flattering.
Song Jiao found it a little cute.
Xu Jinzhao waited for Song Jiao to refuse, so she could naturally mention that Qin Lingyue might sow discord, and then tell Song Jiao not to believe her.
Who knew the Omega would agree softly, “Okay, I’ll go with you.”
The questioner was stunned. Song Jiao asked back, “Don’t you want me to go?”
Xu Jinzhao stammered, “Ah, no. Okay, if you want to, then we’ll go together.”
She couldn’t figure it out, and she was absent-minded when talking to Song Jiao on the way home.
This wasn’t a formal banquet, so there was no need to hire a makeup team and wear formal dresses. After they got home, they went to change clothes.
Song Jiao opened the closet door, thinking about Xu Jinzhao’s recent abnormal behavior, and took out a dress she rarely wore.
She had to test it, she thought.
Xu Jinzhao was the first to change clothes and come downstairs this time. After waiting for more than ten minutes, she heard footsteps upstairs.
She looked up, and the Omega’s flame-like red skirt swayed into her eyes.
Xu Jinzhao had never seen Song Jiao wear such flamboyant colors.
The red dress’s evening gown-style folded square collar was dignified and elegant, but also showed affection because of the wearer’s beautiful collarbones.
The tailoring of the bust and waist was especially commendable, modifying the just-right upper bust curve and creating a slender waist, allowing the skirt to spread lightly at the waist and stop below the knee.
She walked like this, and Xu Jinzhao saw a red rose blooming gorgeously before her eyes.
The more shocking scene was behind her.
The Omega smiled at Xu Jinzhao, turned her waist gracefully, showing the back of her dress—
A vast expanse of snow-white bare back suddenly appeared before her eyes without warning.
The small dress that looked dignified from the front had a bold, exaggerated V-shape that reached the waist at the back.
A bow was tied ambiguously at the waist and back of the dress, like a ribbon wrapping a gift, enticing people to pull it open and peek inside.
Xu Jinzhao was completely unable to move.
Song Jiao was actually very nervous. If Xu Jinzhao’s performance was just a disguise, seeing her showing off her figure in front of others would definitely make her fly into a rage immediately.
“How is it?”
She was even prepared to be beaten.
But she heard the Alpha say, “It’s really beautiful, it really suits you.”
Author’s Notes:
Although you are each other’s lucky stars.
I can’t help but want to torment Ms. Xu.
Xu Jinzhao, crawling under the bed, walking eight hundred meters ahead of her wife (are you race walking?), burying her head in food in front of her wife, and spacing out while talking to her wife.

ps: I seem to have been too active in the comments section orz. I feel that replying too much as an author will interfere with everyone’s fun in guessing the plot and verifying the follow-up updates.
I will still read every comment as before (reading comments is my greatest joy!), but I will reduce the number of times I appear in the comments section to avoid accidentally spoiling the plot.
Thank you for your love!!
