Transmigrated Before the Scum A Tortured the Female Lead (GL) - Chapter 24
Xu Jinzhao came out of the Xu’s building, and the rain had stopped outside.
The sky was blue, but the rain in her heart didn’t stop. Heavy gray clouds pressed down, making her feel nauseous.
The coating of the beautiful Rolls-Royce SUV had also lost its luster.
It seemed to have turned from a powerful and lively creature into something dead, lying with the dark bodies of its companions.
Xu Jinzhao knew this was just her confused thoughts.
She took a few deep breaths, opened the car door, and sat inside.
This fictional provincial capital city in “Jiao Jiao” was actually very beautiful. When Xu Jinzhao drove onto the cross-river bridge, the Cang River flowed westward under her feet.
But she wasn’t in the mood to appreciate this great river mentioned many times in the original story.
Xu Jinzhao just wanted to go home as soon as possible, back to her and Song Jiao’s house, the only place in this world where she felt a little sense of belonging.
When she was about to reach Biwan, Xu Jinzhao got out of the car and bought a dozen beers.
Even the beer brands in this damn place were unfamiliar, and she had to retrieve them from [Xu Jinzhao]’s memory.
After parking the car in the garage and stepping onto the path in the backyard garden, Xu Jinzhao’s restless heart finally settled.
She opened the door and entered the house. The indoor temperature was higher than the outside, but the temperature dropped sharply after the rain, and the house was also cold.
Xu Jinzhao kicked off her high heels. She didn’t have the strength to go upstairs, so she turned on the living room air conditioner and sat on the sofa to open the plastic seal of the beer.
The cold beer flowed down her throat, starting to burn in her stomach and slowly spreading to her limbs.
Xu Jinzhao felt it wasn’t warm enough.
So she walked barefoot to the wine cabinet and took out another bottle of red wine.
Xu Jinzhao didn’t know how much she had drunk. Her consciousness was no longer clear.
She took off her coat, carried the wine bottle and searched the house for her easel and paint tray. Finally, she found a signature pen and paper from the drawer, and started drawing on the floor.
Xu Jinzhao used the pen tip to outline her parents’ appearance. They smiled at her on the paper.
She still remembered the last words she said to them: “You don’t have to rush back if you’re busy with filming. I’m not a child anymore.”
At that time, she was afraid that her parents would find out about the mess she was in when they returned to China, so she tried her best to delay.
Xu Jinzhao sniffed and folded the portrait, stuffing it into her shirt cuff, and then drew on the next piece of paper.
Soft long hair, pure expression, and a beautiful face that only diamonds and pearls could adorn.
The girl’s eyes revealed a scrutinizing look, quietly looking at the person outside the painting.
Xu Jinzhao stared at “Song Jiao” and said to her, “I’ll show you. I promised I won’t let you down.”
The beauty frozen in the painting naturally didn’t respond, still with that faintly suspicious look.
Xu Jinzhao became a little annoyed, got up unsteadily, and stepped on the air conditioner remote control. She found her phone from her windbreaker pocket and called Song Jiao.
The drunk miraculously found the right number, but the other party didn’t answer. The busy tone rang three times.
The Alpha sighed in frustration, sitting lonely on the carpet by the sofa.
Xu Jinzhao felt extremely uncomfortable. This world was terrible, and Xu Boyang was the most disgusting part.
But she had nowhere to confide these troubles, not even to Song Jiao.
As an Alpha, she was already suffering so much because of her beliefs. If she hadn’t come, how difficult would Song Jiao’s life be?
She vaguely thought so.
The sun was setting, and the house was as cold as an ice cellar.
Xu Jinzhao was woken up by the phone ring, reaching out in a daze.
She recognized Song Jiao’s name on the phone screen, vaguely remembering that she seemed to have made a call.
Xu Jinzhao completely forgot that she originally wanted to tell Song Jiao that she would always be good to her, and instead sobbed incoherently after answering.
“I’m so cold, Song Jiao. I don’t know who to tell. I’m really cold.”
Xu Jinzhao was indeed cold.
Her body was cold, and her heart was even colder. She was so lonely.
The Omega told her, “You won’t be cold when I get home.”
“Really? But I feel like I’m dying.” Xu Jinzhao said.
“Don’t talk nonsense,” although it was a reprimand, the Omega’s voice was soft and sweet. “Can you still walk? Find some clothes to put on and warm up.”
Xu Jinzhao groped around. She pulled on her windbreaker and desperately dragged down the cushion and fabric sofa cover to wrap herself in.
Song Jiao listened to the rustling sounds on the phone and drove through a traffic light.
When the noise stopped, Song Jiao asked, “Are you feeling better now?”
She heard the Alpha’s muffled “yes” and a “still cold.”
Song Jiao asked, “What are you wearing?”
The Alpha said, “Wearing, um, a lot of armor. It’s useless, not warm at all.”
Song Jiao knew she was drunk and said softly, “I have warm clothes here, I’ll bring them to you later.”
When Song Jiao got home, it was already dark, and the lights in the house were off.
After entering the door, cold air hit her face. Song Jiao frowned and turned on all the first-floor lights in the hallway.
The living room air conditioner was on, but it was blowing cold air.
The Alpha was wrapped in a lot of messy things, curled up by the sofa, pitifully shouting, “Song Jiao…”
Her voice was weak and trembling, and her face was flushed.
Her eyes, which naturally carried a hint of charm, were watery, like those of a large dog drenched in the rain, casting a warm and miserable look.
Song Jiao thought the Alpha was about to cry, or had already cried.
She turned on the air conditioner to heat and went to check on Xu Jinzhao.
But as soon as she got close, Song Jiao smelled a strong alcoholic smell, mixed with the citrus and sea salt fragrance.
Song Jiao stopped, but Xu Jinzhao was still looking at her eagerly.
The Alpha’s long curly hair piled up on her cheeks, and a damp pink fingertip poked out from the fabric sofa cover, looking at her pleadingly.
“I’m so cold, I’m so cold.”
She seemed confused from being drunk, and the blocker patch on her neck might have loosened, so she murmured.
The Alpha’s cold and sweet pheromones had some impact on Song Jiao. The Omega’s head started to spin, and her heart pounded against her chest.
Song Jiao rarely felt so helpless and hesitant.
She should have immediately moved away from Xu Jinzhao. After all, these were just some very mild signs of heat induction, and they would slowly subside if she left the environment with Alpha pheromones.
But looking at the Alpha’s wet eyes, and remembering her words, Song Jiao found that she couldn’t do this very easy thing—
Ignore her and turn away.
This suddenly became very difficult.
Song Jiao opened her bag, her fingertips paused on the medicine box with only one injection left, and then she took out the aluminum-plastic medicine board.
She put the inhibitor tablet in her mouth, and the sweet and astringent tablet quickly disintegrated on her tongue.
Song Jiao reached out and touched her neck, confirming that the patch was firmly attached to her skin, and sprayed the Omega pheromone decomposition blocker spray as double insurance.
She took out the Alpha blocker from the living room medicine box and sprayed it on Xu Jinzhao, who was still shivering.
The latter sneezed several times in the medicine mist.
The oral disintegrating tablet took effect quickly, and Song Jiao threw away the empty bottle.
She leaned closer. The Alpha’s eyelashes were covered with water droplets condensed from the spray, and she looked at her blankly, looking extremely aggrieved.
Because they were too close, Song Jiao could smell a faint citrus scent.
But the medicine blocked most of her perception of the pheromones, and the little bit left didn’t have a big impact.
She used the back of her hand to test the Alpha’s forehead and found that it was only slightly warm.
Song Jiao’s own body temperature was slightly lower than normal, and the body temperature rose after drinking, so it seemed normal.
After confirming that Xu Jinzhao was fine, she probably just got cold from the wrong air conditioner setting and called for help while drunk.
Song Jiao didn’t even realize that she had slightly relaxed.
She asked, “Can you go upstairs?”
Xu Jinzhao didn’t speak, only tightened the fabric around her, and it was unclear what else she had stuffed under the outermost sofa cover.
The room temperature had risen, and Song Jiao said softly, “You said the clothes you’re wearing aren’t warm.”
This was what Xu Jinzhao had said when Song Jiao was trying to keep her talking on the way home.
The drunk seemed to be thinking hard, then nodded in agreement, “Not warm.”
Song Jiao smiled, and Xu Jinzhao watched this smile in a daze, then heard her say, “Then wait, I’ll get some clothes.”
The beautiful Omega went upstairs and came down with a quilt and clothes.
Song Jiao put the quilt and clothes on the sofa, “Change out of your clothes, I brought you warm ones.”
The Alpha wouldn’t move, only widened her charming eyes to look at her.
Song Jiao thought for a moment, and tentatively lifted the sofa cover off Xu Jinzhao.
Seeing that she didn’t resist, she took away the velvet cushion and windbreaker, revealing the damp clothes underneath.
The front of the Alpha’s white shirt was stained with red wine, and it was now clinging to her chest.
Her little nest of protection was removed, and she sat alone, looking up at Song Jiao.
Song Jiao instructed her, “Unbutton your shirt.”
Xu Jinzhao didn’t move, as if she still didn’t understand Song Jiao’s words.
Song Jiao looked at her, and she looked at Song Jiao.
After a moment, Song Jiao said, “Okay, then be good, I’ll take your clothes off.”
The Omega sat next to Xu Jinzhao, feeling a little nervous.
But the Alpha was really obedient, quietly watching her unbutton her shirt.
Underneath the shirt was snow-white skin wrapped in silk satin, and the beautiful curves that swelled and tightened with her breathing almost made Song Jiao dizzy.
The Omega took a deep breath, her fingers pausing, and took a dozen seconds to calm herself down.
She decided to take off the wet clothes first.
But when Song Jiao went to pull Xu Jinzhao’s left sleeve, she suddenly noticed something wasn’t right. There seemed to be something in the sleeve.
Xu Jinzhao, possibly feeling uncomfortable herself, pulled the sleeve off.
A crumpled, folded piece of paper fell onto the carpet.
Song Jiao pulled the thin blanket over the Alpha’s upper body before leaning down to pick it up.
It was a portrait, and a pair of unfamiliar middle-aged men and women were on the paper, smiling gently at her.
“Who are they?”
Song Jiao was just subconsciously talking to herself, but Xu Jinzhao, who was holding the blanket next to her, spoke.
“They’re my parents.”
The Alpha’s voice was firm, as if it were common knowledge.
Song Jiao’s mind was shaken.
She slowly raised her head and looked at Xu Jinzhao.
Author’s Notes:
ps: As always, drinking too much is bad for your health, please don’t imitate. Sister Jinzhao had a bad experience after drinking, and won’t touch alcohol easily in the future.
