- Chapter 11 - The Arrogant Ren Zai
Perhaps it was the tempting aroma of the chicken legs that woke up the sleeping Ren Zai.
He opened his eyes in a daze, feeling the presence of two humans stepping into his territory.
The veins on Ren Zai’s hands bulged as if he was ready to jump up.
Mu Suru quickly pressed him down and signaled with her eyes: Stay still.
Ren Zai looked a bit aggrieved, but then Mu Suru brought over a bowl of porridge that was ready to eat.
She scooped a spoonful with porcelain spoon and held it in front of him.
Ren Zai stared blankly at Mu Suru for a moment before opening his mouth.
The warm atmosphere surrounding the two made Mu An a little jealous.
“Brother, I can also…”
His mouth was immediately covered by Mu Chen, who dragged him out of sight, thinking it was best turn a blind eye!
His little sister had learned to take care of others, and as her brother, he should be happy.
But why did he only feel like strangling that kid to death?
After feeding Ren Zai, Mu Suru took out a notebook she always carried. She was planning to teach him phonetics.
[Teaching the villain phonetics for 1 week, plot points: 5]
[Teaching the villain to write for 1 week ,plot points: 5]
Damn, two tasks were given simultaneously!
Although Mu Suru genuinely wanted to teach Ren Zai phonetics and writing.
But she was lazy by nature and now forced to complete it within a week.
Time was too tight…
Sighing inwardly, Mu Suru looked up at Ren Zai and pointed with her pencil at the letters she had just written: “e”, “v”, “i”.
But the little villain in front of her was staring blankly at her face, completely ignoring the notebook in her hand.
Speechless, Mu Suru lightly tapped Ren Zai on the head, making him grimace in pain.
At least his eyes finally landed on the notebook.
Mu Suru opened her mouth, revealing half of her pearly teeth, and gracefully pronounced a perfect phonetic sound: “e.”
She gestured for Ren Zai to repeat. He struggled a bit before opening his mouth: “Woo woo…”
Mu Suru then switched to another sound: “a… ah…”
This time, Ren Zai found it much easier: “a…”
After saying it, he proudly leaned forward, seeking praise.
Mu Suru happily ruffled the little villain’s now softer, yellowed hair, her delicate face full of encouragement.
The evening sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing Mu Suru in its warmth, making her look like a little angel full of kindness.
Ren Zai’s ears reddened, and he let out a little “howl.”
His eyes lit up as he looked at Mu Suru, eager to continue learning.
And so, the morning passed with Ren Zai learning many phonetic sounds, truly a genius!
In the afternoon, Mu Suru made a special trip to the Yue Le bookstore to buy some children’s books with pictures, intending to show them to the little villain later.
After carefully selecting the books, she unexpectedly ran into an old acquaintance.
“Oh, isn’t this classmate Mu? Long time no see.”
The arrogant voice made Mu Suru raise an eyebrow as she turned around.
Looking down… no, she should be looking down at the short figure in front of her.
The girl wore revealing clothes, had long brown curly hair, and a small round face with light, thin bangs.
It could have been a lovely look, but she insisted on wearing heavy eye shadow and fake eyelashes, making her look several years older.
Mu Suru racked her brain, finally recalling that this was the original host’s junior high school classmate at Lin Gaogui School.
The girl’s name was Mu Jia, one year older but much shorter than the original host.
At a young age, she was known for being lazy and gluttonous, a notorious troublemaker in the class.
Mu Jia despised the original host, always leading the bullying.
Back then, the original host wanted a true friend, so she asked her brothers to keep her identity a secret, enrolling at Lin High School as a scholarship student.
Lin High School had both middle and high school departments.
Xia Qian was in the high school department, and thanks to her good fortune, she was adored by her classmates and treated like a little princess.
Meanwhile, the original host, due to her scholarship student status, was looked down upon by the self-proclaimed noble geniuses, leaving her ostracized and friendless.
Whenever the original host was bullied, Xia Qian would offer useless words of comfort, reinforcing her image as kind-hearted.
Xia Qian, afraid the original host might reveal everything to their brothers, secretly told her that since she had chosen to hide her identity, she must stick to it, her brothers disliked sisters who went back on their word.
By that time, Xia Qian had already monopolized much of the brothers’ attention, leaving the original host feeling insecure.
Hearing Xia Qian’s words, the original host foolishly endured, never telling her brothers.
Gradually, she became more withdrawn, spending most of her time alone in her room.
During the New Year holiday, the Mu Group was dealing with internal issues.
Eldest brother Mu Chen stayed at the company to handle things, and second brother Mu An was preparing for his college entrance exams, living on campus at the time.
He could only call to check on his sister, but each time, Xia Qian would answer, hiding the truth and keeping everything secret.
When the original host didn’t hear from her brothers for several days, she believed they were disappointed in her, sinking even deeper into despair.
Now, Mu Suru looked down at Mu Jia, resting her chin on her hand, confused: “Who are you again? I don’t remember.”
Mu Jia was furious, nearly spitting blood: “I’m Mu Jia, your classmate! Did the three-day New Year holiday make you lose your mind?”
Three days passed in a flash, and the classmates who laughed at the joke and Mu Jia thought that this stinky bug died outside and would never come back.
But now, here she was, wearing the latest SEIFINI Lolita dress, with a cute bunny hair clip on her head.
Her long, soft hair cascaded over her chest, and her watery almond eyes sparkled, making her look incredibly adorable.
She was worlds apart from the exhausted Mu Suru who was wearing school uniform a few days ago.
Mu Jia was envious of Mu Suru’s milky white skin, and her eyes darkened.
“Did some rich man take care of you? You’re still so young, how can you be so shameless?”
Her shrill voice attracted the attention of the nearby onlookers.
“Little Mei, don’t ever learn from her, or you’ll end up like that.”
“I wonder whose child she is, so young yet already clinging to rich men, what will she do in the future!”
“Exactly…”
Facing their whispers, Mu Suru remained expressionless.
She had no intention of explaining herself, the more you explain something that never happened, the worse it becomes.
But that didn’t mean she would let the instigator get away with it.
Her gaze toward Mu Jia turned icy, and a mocking smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.
The chill seemed to penetrate Mu Jia’s heart, making her shudder.
She spat out something even more venomous: “Who knows, maybe she has more than one sugar daddy…”
“Shut your mouth!”
A hoarse but still pleasant voice cut through the crowd.
Mu Suru resisted the urge to smile and glanced toward the person she had been waiting for all along.
