- Chapter 15 - The Panic of the Little White Lotus
“Isn’t that the bug?”
“What did she say to the campus heartthrob Yao? Why is he laughing so happily!”
“She’s just a shameless tramp…”
Those fangirls stared at Mu Suru with eyes full of hatred.
Mu Suru thought: I’m not scared at all!
Xia Qian, feeling scared, tightly pinched Mu Suru’s exposed arm, her long nails digging in, causing some pain.
At that moment, one of the students couldn’t hold back anymore. Li Meng, her face full of jealousy, sneered: “Hey, idiot, what did the campus heartthrob Yao say to you?”
Mu Suru ignored her, her contemptuous attitude enraging Li Meng.
Li Meng looked at the branded dress Mu Suru was wearing and spat out vicious words: “Tsk, being so young and already kept by someone. I just saw you getting out of a black sedan…”
She didn’t finish her sentence, but everyone understood the implication.
“No wonder, that man who looks like an old uncle must be the one keeping her!”
“No way, classmate Mu is only thirteen years old…”
“……”
Mu Suru was getting annoyed, especially since Xia Qian still wouldn’t let go. She pulled her arm away, causing Xia Qian, who wasn’t prepared, to fall to the ground.
Her pure white dress was now a mess, stained beyond recognition.
Xia Qian felt a burning pain on her arm from the friction. Tears slowly rolled down from her beautiful eyes, creating two white streaks on her dirt-covered face, making her look very funny.
The surrounding fangirls, seeing this, unleashed even more vicious remarks.
“Unbelievable! How could Mu Suru be so cruel!”
“What kind of person is she? Poor Xia Qian, suffering for no reason!”
Li Meng feigned concern: “If you’re angry, take it out on me! Don’t drag innocent people into this!”
Mu Suru retaliated, showing her pale arm: “I didn’t mean to, she was pinching me…”
She also covered her eyes with her hand, looking as though she was about to cry, her voice trembling.
Someone gasped. Her arm was thin, with veins clearly visible, and the bruises from Xia Qian’s nails were deep, nearly drawing blood—a truly alarming sight.
It was clear how much strength had been used!
The students cast meaningful glances at Xia Qian, whispering among themselves.
Xia Qian panicked. She hadn’t meant to hurt Mu Suru, just clutched her in fear. She didn’t even use that much force! How could Mu Suru’s skin be so delicate?
Instead of realizing who had just saved her, Xia Qian blamed Mu Suru for her own downfall.
After successfully tarnishing Xia Qian’s pure and innocent image, Mu Suru lowered her hand.
Rubbing too hard had left her almond-shaped eyes red, making her look quite pitiable.
“I’ve remembered everyone who just badmouthed me!”
Mu Suru decided it was time to reveal her true identity; she couldn’t keep being bullied.
She dialed a number she knew by heart and waited calmly for it to connect.
To the others, her words seemed pretentious.
Whatever pity they had for her vanished instantly, replaced by a barrage of harsh insults.
Mu Group
It was a meeting day, and everyone sat stiffly in their chairs, barely daring to breathe. They feared being cursed at again by the man sitting in the high seat, exuding a frigid aura.
In this tense atmosphere, a phone rang.
The attendees quickly checked to see if their phones were silenced. If someone’s phone was ringing, they’d be in big trouble.
Mu Chen, his handsome face cold as ice, picked up the constantly ringing phone.
When he saw the name displayed on the screen, the chill around him fading. It was like the warmth of spring, and a gentle smile appeared on Mu Chen’s face.
He gestured for the meeting to end, then grabbed his suit jacket and hurried out.
Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief, feeling like they had escaped a disaster.
Now that they had narrowly survived, curiosity took over, who could be the person that made their CEO act so urgently?
“Is the boss in a relationship?”
“I bet it’s a gentle beauty!”
“Nonsense, it must be a cute little lolita…”
Manager Li, who knew the situation, silently rolled his eyes: Dirty thoughts!
That was the boss’s most precious little sister!
“Ru Tuan, what’s wrong? Did something happen? Are classmates bullying you?”
Mu Chen put on his suit jacket, his gold-rimmed glasses flashing as his deep black eyes became unreadable.
His rapid-fire questions overwhelmed Mu Suru a bit.
“Big brother, it’s no big deal… just send Manager Li over. You go ahead and handle the company matters.”
Although Mu Chen wanted to know what had happened that required the help of his trusted assistant, he held back. He had important files to deal with and couldn’t leave immediately.
Besides, he could find out everything once Li De returned.
“Okay.”
Mu Suru hung up the phone and fiddled with the pendant on it. Her entire demeanor shifted dramatically, as though even if the sky fell, she wouldn’t panic.
The fangirls, having heard everything, started to get nervous.
“She can’t be serious, right?”
“So what? My dad is a famous entrepreneur in City A. I’m not scared!”
“My dad owns the Yaoji Club!”
Xia Qian, still feeling humiliated, tried to sneak away, but Mu Suru grabbed her, her enticing red lips dropping another bombshell: “Sister, where are you going? Big brother will be here soon to stand up for us!”
Xia Qian desperately wanted to cover Mu Suru’s talkative mouth. Hadn’t she told her not to reveal they were sisters?
At that moment, a low-key black Porsche pulled up.
Manager Li stepped out, dressed in a neat black suit, his expression serious and professional: “Hello, Miss.”
Mu Suru was pleased with his speed. She lightly pointed around with her hand: “They all insulted me…”
The students she pointed at turned pale but tried to remain composed. After all, it was just her word against theirs, who would believe her?
But Mu Suru calmly took out her phone. “Uncle Li, I just recorded everything. How should we proceed with this?”
Li De, not only Mu Chen’s manager but also a lawyer, had been struggling without evidence to back Mu Suru’s accusations.
Now that she said she had a recording, he could follow legal procedures and take them to court.
There was no denying that the Mu family members were all sharp-minded!
The accused students were utterly crushed. With evidence like that, they were bound to be detained for a few days at least. Even if their parents managed to bail them out, their reputations would be ruined!
