- Transmigrated Into a Book: The Villain I Raised Is Plotting Against Me!
- Chapter 23 - The dream that had troubled him for years finally disappeared
Mu Jia glared at the beautiful woman with resentment. It was this woman who, after her mother’s death, fought her way out from among many lovers and successfully moved into the Mu family with Mu Yao, as the new mistress of the house.
That little wretch Mu Yao was good at pretending too, meek and innocent in front of others, but malicious behind their backs.
Her tricks made Mu Jia despised by her father, and now she had even lost her position as the successor…
Mu Jia was like a stray dog, not knowing where to go.
She… regretted it!
Yao Family
Yao Yuan lay quietly on the white bed.Â
His handsome, chiseled face was drenched in cold sweat, as if he were trapped in a dream, unable to escape.
In the thick night, a white figure appeared before Yao Yuan, close enough to touch.
He stretched out his large hand with distinct joints to try and touch it, but it went right through.
Yao Yuan cried out in agony, “Who are you?! Who?!”
The figure had appeared in his dreams night after night, ruining his sleep.
Yao Yuan thought it would be like before, no response.
But unexpectedly, the woman with a waist like a willow branch turned around silently.
Her face was pale but stunningly beautiful, yet it still filled Yao Yuan with terror.
Though she had lost that youthful innocence, her features hadn’t changed much, so Yao Yuan recognized her at once: it was Mu Suru’s face!
Two streams of tears fell from “Mu Suru’s” cheeks, her face full of sorrow. “Yao Yuan, I loved you so much I lost myself, and you ruined my family… If there is another life, I will never love you again!”
As soon as she finished speaking, the white figure shattered into pieces and disappeared into the night sky like stardust.
Yao Yuan felt a dull pain in his chest, a feeling so overwhelming that it almost drowned him.
“No!”
He muttered to himself, and his bloodshot eyes suddenly opened.
Looking around at the black-and-white-themed room, Yao Yuan knew he had awakened from the dream.
Getting out of bed, he yanked open the curtains in one swift motion.
The moonlight bathed him entirely, giving him an ethereal beauty.
Yao Yuan gazed at the colorful neon lights outside, his dark eyes revealing a hint of confusion.

Thursday
In the exam hall, students sat upright in their chairs, wailing at the sight of the blank test papers.
But Mu Suru was writing confidently, her expression relaxed.
Her confidence radiated unconsciously, causing the students who were struggling to figure out how to start their papers to glance over at her.
They couldn’t believe that someone like her, always second-to-last in the class, could actually know the answers. She was probably just guessing!
Mu Suru’s long eyelashes cast shadows over her sparkling almond-shaped eyes.
Her glossy, water-like lips shone with an enticing glow, making her look as delicate and adorable as a Barbie doll.
Mu Jia tightly gripped her pen, the sound of it scratching against the paper grating, her eyes filled with deep hatred.
Just then, a classmate behind her passed a crumpled note, as planned before the exam, instructing her to pass it to the girl on her left.
But…
Mu Jia stared at the note, a strange smile forming on her lips.
Meanwhile, Mu Suru had already written most of her answers when she encountered a difficult question.
Her eyes narrowed in concentration, and with a flick of her hand, she batted away the unknown object that had flown toward her.
Mu Jia let out a small “ah,” though her voice was soft, it echoed clearly in the quiet, spacious classroom.
It turned out the crumpled note had returned to its sender and hit her in the face.
The two supervising teachers walked over with stern expressions and glanced at the small note on Mu Jia’s desk.
One of them said sharply, “Mu Jia, your exam score is now zero. Come with me to the principal’s office!”
Mu Jia couldn’t defend herself, and in the end, one of the proctors escorted her out of the classroom.
The students in the classroom began to stir, wanting to gossip.
But they restrained themselves under the watchful eyes of the remaining proctor and continued with their exams.
Not long after, Mu Jia returned, her face a little pale.
Sitting back in her seat, her hand, still gripping her pen, trembled uncontrollably.
The teacher had called her father just now, and he had said he would no longer care about her.
This meant she would receive a disciplinary record…
The little episode passed, and the morning exams were over.
Mu Suru stretched lazily, feeling refreshed, and walked out of the classroom.
Unexpectedly, she spotted Gu Pei standing by the pole.
She was dressed in a cool, loose baseball jacket, with a white cap covering her overly delicate face, leaving only her vibrant red lips visible.
It seemed like she had been waiting for a while, as the sun had already reddened much of her snow-white skin.
Is she… waiting for me?
Mu Suru thought absentmindedly, then kept walking at a steady pace, passing by Gu Pei.
Three… two…
“Suru.”
As expected, that light, ethereal voice called out.
Mu Suru turned around with a smile and asked, “Sister Gu, have you been waiting for me?”
Gu Pei adjusted the brim of her cap, revealing her amber eyes.
“Waiting for you. To eat.”
Her five simple words left Mu Suru choked, as if Gu Pei was stingy with her words.
“Sure! Actually, I forgot to bring my lunch today anyway.”
Mu Suru shamelessly patted her backpack, which was clearly weighed down by her lunchbox, grinning happily.
Under the shade of the trees, the tall figure walked ahead while the small figure followed close behind.
Together, they formed a youthful, vibrant picture against the blue sky and white clouds.
Cafeteria
The place was crowded with people, and as soon as they saw Gu Pei, they couldn’t help but gasp.
“Ah… my goddess is actually eating in the cafeteria!”
“This is unprecedented! And my goddess is still so cool, she’s every guy’s dream!”
“Hey, who’s that short girl next to her? She’s pretty cute.”
Gu Pei, looking extremely aloof, stood in line at one of the windows. Seeing this, all the guys rushed to queue behind her.
Instantly, the other windows emptied out, which irritated some of the girls.
“Neither man nor woman…”
“She’s just trying to seduce the boys I like!”
“……”
Xia Qian and her close friend had just ordered their favorite dishes and were looking for a place to sit when they noticed the window packed with boys.
Curious, they looked closer.
And there, Xia Qian saw the all-too-familiar figure.
The sharp edge of the fork stabbed into her hand, the pain snapping her back to her senses before she lost control.
“Qian’er, what’s wrong?”
Her friend Qian Rui immediately sensed her emotional turmoil.
Following Xia Qian’s gaze, she spotted the pretty girl in the white school uniform.
“Isn’t she the evil stepsister who always bullies you?”
Her bold, straightforward friend was hard to hold back, her voice a little too loud.
Several classmates overheard and cast strange glances in their direction.
Xia Qian wished she could cover Qian Rui’s mouth, silently cursing her stupidity before calming herself.
“I don’t care, Xiao Rui. Let’s just find a place to sit.”
Xia Qian forced a smile, which, in Qian Rui’s eyes, made her seem far too kind.
Still, she followed Xia Qian’s suggestion and unwillingly found a place to sit down.
Gu Pei glanced at the menu and named a few dishes: “Braised eggplant, mushroom soup, stir-fried vegetables.”
Mu Suru noticed that she hadn’t ordered a single meat dish.
