Transmigrated into a Classic Dog-Blood Drama as the Scummy Alpha - Chapter 15
After tidying up the room, Shen Xian switched to her new phone and then picked up another box before stepping out.
As soon as Lin Qinghan saw her in that cow-print pajama set, she nearly burst into laughter, though she managed to hold it in out of politeness.
Seeing the suppressed amusement on Lin Qinghan’s face, Shen Xian felt even more wronged. She had only bought the pajamas to make their daughter happy—why was she the one getting socially executed?
Walking over, Shen Xian glanced at Lin Qinghan and said, “Qinghan, I’ve made some money recently, and I noticed your phone’s not in great shape. So, I bought one for you too.” She handed over the box.
Lin Qinghan gave her a look but didn’t take it. “My phone still works. You should keep it for yourself.”
Shen Xian stood there awkwardly, hand frozen in mid-air, before silently pulling the phone box back. With a favorability score of -90, she figured someone like Lin Qinghan wouldn’t accept it anyway.
That evening, while Lin Qinghan was putting Shen Tian to bed, Shen Xian opened her laptop and began managing Jiang Xi’s ten million investment. She started by buying one million yuan worth of Moon Coin, then allocated the remaining nine million into stocks. Moon Coin might take time to appreciate, but the stock market could generate returns within a month.
Elsewhere, Jiang Xi had returned home joyfully with the signed contract. That night, Mu Siyu—the heir to the Mu Group and Jiang Xi’s childhood friend—came over to visit. Unlike Jiang Xi, Mu Siyu had differentiated into an Alpha after reaching adulthood.
Jiang Xi’s parents were always busy—sometimes in China, sometimes abroad—leaving them only a few days each month to see their daughter. Unfortunately, Jiang Xi had no real talent for business, which caused them much concern. Thankfully, her older brother Jiang Qiao was reliable when it came to managing the company. Still, their father gave Jiang Xi ten million yuan in hopes she would do something productive with it—unaware that she had handed it all over to someone she met just the day before.
As soon as Mu Siyu arrived at the villa, Jiang Xi ran out, throwing herself into Mu Siyu’s arms without a shred of Omega-Alpha propriety. “Mu-jiejie, you’re here! I missed you so much. Why haven’t you come to see me lately?” she said, nuzzling Mu Siyu’s neck.
Jiang Xi didn’t like pheromone blockers. She found them uncomfortable and pointless if she wasn’t in heat. Still, Omegas might not detect pheromones outside their sensitive periods, but Alphas certainly could. As soon as Jiang Xi got close, Mu Siyu was enveloped in the scent of lychee—Jiang Xi’s pheromone signature—and found the girl before her as sweet as her scent.
Without changing expression, Mu Siyu gently pushed Jiang Xi back a little. “Xi Xi, how many times have I told you? I’m an Alpha now. You can’t just hug me like we did when we were kids.”
Jiang Xi didn’t seem to mind and flashed a wide grin. “But it’s not my fault. Mu-jiejie smells so nice—like pear blossoms. I like it! You’re so stingy. You never let me sniff properly.”
If she hadn’t known Jiang Xi was oblivious, this might’ve been classified as harassment. Mu Siyu could only shake her head, amused. Still just a kid.
“You only get away with saying stuff like that to me. Come on, let’s talk inside.” Mu Siyu laughed helplessly, taking Jiang Xi’s hand as they walked to the living room. She wore a dark red dress cinched at the waist with a silver chain, giving her a slender figure. The orange lip tint softened her otherwise cool appearance.
During their short walk inside, Jiang Xi had already stolen several glances at her, finding Mu Siyu more and more beautiful.
Of course, Mu Siyu noticed and teasingly asked, “Do I look good?”
Without thinking, Jiang Xi replied, “You look great.” Then she realized she’d been caught staring and blushed. “Mu-jiejie always looks good. And you smell nice, too. I really like it.”
Her words were innocent, but they made Mu Siyu’s heart skip a beat. Then she reminded herself that Jiang Xi never thought about these things seriously. A faint sense of disappointment welled up—this silly girl still only saw her as an older sister.
Still, Mu Siyu didn’t show it. Smiling softly, she said, “You’re such a sweet-talker. Always have been. Anyway, I heard Uncle Jiang gave you ten million to start a business. Need your jiejie’s help?”
Mu Siyu knew Jiang Xi well—there was no way she could manage that much money on her own. If she stepped in, at least she’d get to see her more often.
“Ah, thanks Mu-jiejie, but my dad said I can’t accept help from anyone I know. Besides, I’ve already found someone to help me!” Jiang Xi smiled innocently.
Mu Siyu’s heart clenched. She wasn’t worried about the money—just shocked that Jiang Xi could be duped so quickly. “And you’re still smiling? You’ll be scammed blind at this rate.”
“You sound just like Sister Shen! She also warned me not to flaunt my wealth, in case someone tries to cheat me.” Jiang Xi pouted slightly. Why did everyone treat her like a kid? She was already 21! She wasn’t that naïve.
Mu Siyu immediately picked up on the odd phrasing. “Sister Shen?” she asked cautiously.
“She’s the one helping me manage the investment! She’s super nice. I left messages for a bunch of big influencers, but she was the only one who responded and agreed to help. And she’s really pretty…” Jiang Xi rambled on, while Mu Siyu heard none of it. Her mind was spinning. Who was this ‘Sister Shen’?
Forcing herself to calm down, Mu Siyu asked, “Is she an Omega?”
That would be a relief—no pheromonal threat to an Omega.
Jiang Xi thought hard. “I actually forgot to ask. But I didn’t smell any pheromones on her, so maybe not? Anyway, she’s really nice. I’ll introduce you two someday.”
“Sure,” Mu Siyu replied coolly. Not an Alpha, good. “Mind if I take a look at your contract?”
“There’s no need, really. Sister Shen’s a good person. And she’s really pretty.”
There it was again. Mu Siyu’s heart, which had just calmed, instantly tightened. Her little cabbage was praising another woman to the skies. This wasn’t good. She needed to act fast.
Still, Jiang Xi handed her the contract. Mu Siyu frowned more deeply as she read. The document was legally sound, professionally drafted. Maybe this person wasn’t a scammer after all?
Jiang Xi leaned closer, and the pear blossom scent intensified. “Mu-jiejie, is something wrong?”
Mu Siyu snapped out of her thoughts. “No, it’s fine. The contract looks good.”
Jiang Xi beamed. She could now lean in and openly enjoy Mu-jiejie’s scent!
“I want to meet this person someday,” Mu Siyu added. She wouldn’t be at ease until she saw this woman for herself.
“Okay! I’ll set it up soon.” Jiang Xi leaned her head on Mu Siyu’s shoulder, while Mu Siyu could only sigh at this clueless little cabbage of hers.

The next morning, Shen Xian got up early to prepare breakfast before going to wake the mother and daughter sleeping in the master bedroom.
Lin Qinghan was still half-asleep, but even so, she’d gotten nearly an hour more rest than she usually did when taking care of Tiantian on her own. Lately, having Shen Xian around had been unexpectedly relaxing—so much so that she’d even forgotten to apply pheromone blockers several times. Fortunately, Shen Xian had been behaving herself and hadn’t tried anything. Coexisting peacefully like this… wasn’t so bad.
Still, seeing Shen Xian in that cow-print pajama made it hard for Lin Qinghan to keep a straight face.
Breakfast was century egg and pork congee with steamed buns Shen Xian had made. Tiantian stuffed her cheeks like a little chipmunk. A faint smile touched Lin Qinghan’s lips—this might just be the happiest period of Tiantian’s life. But how long could Shen Xian keep this up? And what were her true intentions?
Lin Qinghan warned herself not to be fooled. Shen Xian had behaved in the past, too—only to deceive her more effectively. Maybe this was just a temporary pang of conscience. She refused to overthink it.
Meanwhile, the mother and daughter duo, dressed in matching cow-print pajamas, were happily enjoying their breakfast.
“Mommy’s cooking is yummy, isn’t it?” Shen Xian asked with a smile.
Tiantian nodded vigorously. “Mhm! Mommy’s food is the best. I love it. Mama does too, right?” she added, tugging Lin Qinghan’s hand.
Helplessly, Lin Qinghan gave a small nod.
Shen Xian wasn’t upset. She smiled at her ex-wife. In her past life, she had always been the one pampered by others. Now, she was the one doing the pampering—especially for her former wife. She’d noticed this morning that Lin Qinghan’s favorability had risen from -70 to -60. Not a huge change, but it gave her the tiniest bit of hope.
She might just be the most pitiful CEO ever.
