Transmigrated into the Scummy Alpha of the Apocalypse Heroine (GL) - Chapter 4
[System: Where did that stereotype come from?]
[Qin Junlan: I learned it from TV dramas. This line is a classic.]
At that point, Qin Junlan paused. The system thought she had realized her mistake, especially when she showed a look of sudden understanding.
“I get it now. I forgot a key gesture. While saying that line, I should grab the other person’s chin and say it fiercely. Hold on, let me do it again.”
[System: Stop right there. Just wait a moment. Look at that poor little Omega in front of you. Her eyes are brimming with tears. Don’t you feel any pity? Don’t you want to hold her and comfort her?]
Qin Junlan looked confused.
“But I’m a thug. Since when do thugs need to do emotional scenes?”
The system was speechless. It now regretted praising her earlier. Qin Junlan was clearly just a fool.
Their mental exchange lasted only a brief moment and didn’t delay Qin Junlan from stepping toward Bai Lansheng.
She kept a fierce posture as she approached, but Bai Lansheng didn’t run. Instead, she looked confused.
“I didn’t order room service. Did you enter the wrong room?”
Qin Junlan finally stopped in her tracks and tilted her head slightly to examine her target.
She asked the system internally.
“Is this really Bai Lansheng?”
The system reluctantly replied, “Yes.”
Qin Junlan became even more confused. For a moment, the blank look on her face mirrored Bai Lansheng’s puzzled expression.
“Shouldn’t someone’s first reaction to an intruder be to resist or flee? At the very least, calling for help would be normal. Why is she so calm?”
When Qin Junlan didn’t respond, Bai Lansheng’s expression turned slightly anxious.
“Did I say something wrong? I really didn’t order any room service.”
Qin Junlan closely observed her but found no trace of acting. Either Bai Lansheng was an exceptional actress, or she was just incredibly naive.
Qin Junlan decided to speak plainly.
“I’m a thug. I’m here to harass you.”
Bai Lansheng stepped back as if startled.
Qin Junlan thought: At least she knows to maintain some distance.
Bai Lansheng’s expression showed disbelief.
“You’re a thug?”
“Yes,” Qin Junlan replied.
“But you’re wearing a hotel staff uniform,” Bai Lansheng said.
“I stole it,” Qin Junlan answered.
“Then how did you get a room keycard?”
“I’m not here to explain myself. Just know that I’m up to no good.”
Grabbing Bai Lansheng’s chin, Qin Junlan finally repeated the domineering line.
“Hmph. Even if you scream until your throat is hoarse, you won’t escape me.”
Bai Lansheng’s cheeks still had a baby-like softness. They felt full under Qin Junlan’s grip. Pouting, she said,
“What you’re doing is wrong. If you’re in financial trouble, I can help. Breaking in like this is illegal. You’ll be arrested.”
Watching her squished lips move, Qin Junlan felt the urge to laugh.
“By the time the police arrive, I will have already bullied you.”
It was Bai Lansheng’s first time being this close to an Alpha. Qin Junlan’s strong pheromones overwhelmed her senses. It was far too close. She began to panic, her eyes gradually filling with fear.
“You… what do you mean by bullying me?”
Qin Junlan felt her intimidation had worked. She glanced around the room and asked the system,
“How exactly should I bully her?”
[System: However you like.]
The system had given up on trying to reason with her and answered weakly.
“Anything I want, huh? That means I can do whatever I please?”
Recalling the thug scenes she had seen in TV dramas, Qin Junlan scanned the room, then curled up one side of her lip and smirked.
“I’ll pin you to the bed and make you cry until your tears run dry. You won’t be able to get out of bed until morning.”
This time, Bai Lansheng was truly frightened. Staying in bed until morning? That was way too long. Her cheeks turned pink.
“We can’t do that. This is our first meeting. If you like me, confess your feelings. Once I accept, then we can…”
“Then we can?” Qin Junlan raised her chin toward the bed.
“N-no. Once I accept, we can start dating,” Bai Lansheng quickly clarified, her face turning red down to her neck, afraid Qin Junlan would misunderstand her intentions.
“Oh, I don’t need your consent,” Qin Junlan said. “I prefer to do it by force.”
With a soft pop, a warm bubble of steam seemed to rise from Bai Lansheng’s head. Her face was bright red. She squeaked, turned around, and ran.
In her panic, she crashed headfirst into the wall. Holding her forehead, she rushed into the bathroom and locked the door behind her.
Qin Junlan glanced at the now-closed door, rubbed her fingers together, and sniffed them.
[System: That’s a bit creepy.]
[Qin Junlan: Doesn’t she smell like milk?]
[System: I don’t know.]
[Qin Junlan: The bathroom counts as part of the room, right?]
[System: Yes.]
Qin Junlan looked around the room. It was an ordinary guest room with nothing to hide behind except the closet and under the bed.
The window was open. She walked over and closed it. After surveying the surroundings, she nodded in satisfaction. Her mission target had no way of escaping.
She then sprawled across the bed, stretched out her arms and legs, and claimed the entire mattress.
Seeing her close her eyes, the system asked,
[System: You’re not planning to sleep until the mission ends, are you?]
[Qin Junlan: The mission requires me to stay in Bai Lansheng’s room for seven hours. Since the bathroom counts as part of the room, as long as we’re in the same space, I can do whatever I want, right?]
[System: That’s correct. But shouldn’t you use this opportunity to build rapport with your target?]
[Qin Junlan: What’s her corruption level right now?]
[System: She hasn’t started blackening yet.]
[Qin Junlan: Exactly. I’ll deal with it once she does. She doesn’t seem to dislike me too much for now. I’m sure someone as naive as her won’t mind sharing a bed.]
When Qin Junlan woke up, she felt mentally and physically drained. Her nerves had been tightly wound for so long that she needed to relax. Most importantly, Bai Lansheng hadn’t brought a communication device into the bathroom. That meant the target couldn’t call for help, so it was fine to leave her alone for now.
Taking advantage of the situation to rest, Qin Junlan thought she was doing a brilliant job.
She closed her eyes again, but soon began to feel uncomfortable.
As someone who cared deeply about cleanliness, she had done her best to wash her face and wipe down her body despite limited conditions. Now, lying in the soft and clean bed, her obsessive cleanliness started acting up again.
The more comfortable the bed was, the more it felt like needles were pricking into her back. Not to mention, the clothes she was wearing weren’t even hers.
The more she thought about it, the worse Qin Junlan felt. Her entire body felt like it was crawling with ants. With a grunt, she sat up, her expression shifting between irritation and discomfort.
On the other side, Bai Lansheng was hiding in the bathroom, her face burning hot and her mind spinning in confusion.
Someone had suddenly entered the room, and it turned out to be an Alpha. Naturally, she had been startled. But since the person was wearing a hotel uniform, she thought it was room service and kindly tried to let them know they had the wrong room.
Although the stranger’s words and expressions were odd, Bai Lansheng didn’t feel like she was in danger. The Alpha’s eyes were clear and lacked the kind of greasy look she hated.
As an Omega, she had many admirers. However, she despised the way most Alphas looked at her, as if they wanted to strip her and get her pregnant on the spot. She longed for a Platonic romance, but most Alphas were overly assertive, shamelessly radiating their pheromones.
This person might have teased her, but there had been no trace of aggression in their scent. On the contrary, it was well controlled. And…
Bai Lansheng patted her cheeks to cool herself down.
This Alpha was really good-looking.
Fair skin, large eyes, a high nose bridge, and thin, slightly aloof lips. Their tall, slender figure looked amazing in a hotel uniform.
She realized she had a thing for uniforms. When she had first met Ke Nian, she thought he looked refined. But now, seeing this Alpha, she realized she liked a specific type.
If someone could look that good in a hotel uniform, how much better would they look in a tailored suit?
Bai Lansheng covered her face. Even her fingertips were burning from the heat in her cheeks. What on earth was she thinking?
She was shocked to discover she was both a face-con and a uniform-con. Fanning her face did nothing. She rested her forehead against the wall. Once she finally managed to cool herself down and calm her thoughts, she noticed the scent of pheromones in the air was growing stronger.
She checked her pockets and suddenly froze.
Her susceptibility period was approaching.
She hadn’t brought any suppressant.
Nor had she brought a communicator to call for help.
What should she do? Should she go out to retrieve it? But that person was still outside.
Click. The bathroom door creaked.
Someone was trying to enter. Hearing the sound, Bai Lansheng panicked and tried to hide. In her haste, she tripped over her own feet and nearly fell, but the bathroom was such a small space—where could she possibly hide?
When Qin Junlan stepped in, she saw Bai Lansheng curled up in the corner, clutching a bottle of body wash with a tense expression.
Qin Junlan felt a small sense of accomplishment. Her earlier intimidation had worked. The target was now afraid of her. Excellent.
However, she hadn’t come in to scare her further. Her target was actually the shower.
But that sweet scent in the air caught her attention again. She rubbed her nose.
“You wearing perfume?”
Bai Lansheng’s face, which had just cooled down, flushed red again.
She didn’t answer, and Qin Junlan didn’t bother pressing the issue. Her mind was now occupied with the thought of taking a bath.
“Move. I’m going to shower.”
“I-I-I’ll go out right away,” Bai Lansheng stammered.
“No,” Qin Junlan said flatly.
“You want me to shower with you?” Bai Lansheng asked, horrified.
“I’m a thug,” Qin Junlan replied. “What if you run out and call someone to arrest me? Not allowed.”
Bai Lansheng pouted slightly and mumbled, “Who goes around calling themselves a thug all the time?”
Qin Junlan began unbuttoning her shirt. Bai Lansheng screamed and immediately covered her eyes. Qin Junlan glanced at her, then casually tossed a large towel over her head to muffle the sound.
“No running. If you move even a little, I’ll tie you up.”
Wrapped in the towel like a ghost, Bai Lansheng shook her head furiously. Underneath, she clamped her hands over her mouth and held her breath. Through the gaps in the towel, she watched the clothes fall to the floor. It felt like her heart dropped along with the belt, slamming into the ground with a loud thud.
Even after those long, flawless legs disappeared from view, she couldn’t forget the delicate curve of the ankles.
Only once those legs were out of sight did she quietly exhale.
Then came the sound of rushing water and faint splashes.
When the visual was gone, the faint sounds only heightened her imagination. She couldn’t help but wonder what was making those noises and what the person was doing.
Qin Junlan glanced at the silent, towel-wrapped figure in the corner. Her mission duration was seven hours, and she needed to stay the entire time. She had no doubt that if Bai Lansheng left Room 12-12 even for a second, her mission would fail. So, she deliberately threw her clothes and shoes right under the door.
If Bai Lansheng tried to run, opening the door would take time, giving Qin Junlan a chance to stop her. The clothes and shoes would also serve as obstacles. If Bai Lansheng stepped on them, even better. Qin Junlan could tug them and throw her off balance—not enough to make her fall, just enough to slow her down and buy time.
But Bai Lansheng didn’t try to run. In fact, she was being unusually obedient.
Qin Junlan was starting to think that Bai Lansheng’s simplicity was a good thing. Easy to handle.
She rubbed the tip of her nose and grew curious about the body wash.
[System, is this body wash made specifically for Omegas? Why does it smell so good?]
The system gave no response, as if it had died inside.
Qin Junlan rinsed twice, then soaked for half an hour. She finally felt human again. Throughout, Bai Lansheng hadn’t moved. Qin Junlan began to wonder if she had turned into a statue.
Was she dead or something?
Feeling a bit uneasy, Qin Junlan reluctantly climbed out of the tub. She pushed her wet hair back, wrapped herself in a robe, and walked over. Lifting the towel on Bai Lansheng’s head, she checked to make sure the girl hadn’t suffocated.
And was immediately hit with an overwhelming wave of milk scent.
Bai Lansheng looked up at her with teary eyes and outstretched arms, silently asking for a hug.
