- Transmigrating as a Cannon Fodder in the Apocalypse, Seducing the Mad Female Lead
- Chapter 15 - Keep Your Dog Eyes to Yourselves
The gazes were far too suggestive, not mere admiration but laced with undisguised lust.
Su Tang felt physically uncomfortable under their scrutiny.
As the Chief’s daughter, I need to establish some authority. The original owner of this body might not have minded such invasive stares, but she certainly did!
She stopped, ready to deliver a sharp reprimand, when someone else spoke first.
“What are you staring at?”
Bai Yanxing’s face was cold. Her patience and gentleness had long been worn away by the harsh realities of the Apocalypse. She couldn’t tolerate such disrespectful gazes.
“What’s it to you?”
One of the men, hands in her pockets, exuded arrogance. Tall and muscular, she clearly enjoyed good rations, likely a formidable member of the Black Wolf Gang.
“Didn’t anyone teach you not to stare?” Bai Yanxing pressed. “Su Tang’s clearly uncomfortable.”
He shifted slightly, positioning herself protectively in front of her. Truth be told, she hated seeing the person she cared for treated this way.
Especially since Su Tang had such a kind nature.
But having a good personality isn’t a reason for people to stare rudely.
“What are you talking about? Tangtang wouldn’t be uncomfortable!”
“She used to play with us all the time! It’s only since you showed up that she’s changed. If you ask me, Bai Yanxing… you’re a devil! You’re just corrupting her!”
The woman pointed a finger at Bai Yanxing.
Rumors had long circulated in the Shelter about the two sharing meals and sleeping together, their relationship ambiguous.
Everyone was baffled. Su Tang, who had once been so jovial with the men—practically one of the guys—had suddenly changed her behavior.
Thus, everyone secretly speculated that Bai Yanxing, this unwelcome guest, had corrupted Su Tang.
After all, Bai Yanxing’s parents had been sentenced to death on the execution platform from the very beginning.
They were the rats who had stolen precious medicines.
“What are you saying?”
Su Tang frowned, clearly disliking the men’s accusations. She didn’t care about her original self’s past; she had no interest in maintaining this messy friendship.
Even if this revealed her true nature and exposed her facade, so what?
Could this apocalyptic world really possess a superpower that could capture people and test whether they were transmigrators?
The answer was obvious: no such function existed.
So when Su Tang questioned them, they froze, but only for a moment. They quickly redirected their accusations toward Bai Yanxing.
“Tangtang, are we lying? She’s the one corrupting you! That woman clearly has ulterior motives. How disgusting!”
“I bet she groped you all night when you slept together!”
Su Tang: ……
She wanted to retort, but a guilty conscience held her back. This wasn’t the Female Lead’s fault—it was her own.
It wasn’t the Female Lead who had sticky fingers, but herself.
This made her feel like a gluttonous child.
In that moment of hesitation, Bai Yanxing strode forward and, without a second’s pause, slapped the woman across the face.
The sharp crack of the slap echoed clearly in everyone’s ears. Su Tang frowned slightly, not out of concern for the woman whose face was swelling like a pig’s head, but out of worry for whether the Female Lead’s palm hurt.
After all, earlier that day, when Bai Yanxing had encountered the Jumping Zombie and forcefully drawn back the bowstring, a bluish bruise had already formed on the palm of her hand.
“Hah! A woman dares to hit me!”
This muscular woman was no pushover. Having swaggered around the Black Wolf Gang for so long, she had never encountered anyone who dared to strike him.
A brawl was about to erupt at the cafeteria entrance.
Members of the Black Wolf Gang emerged, carrying bowls and plates, and the crowd erupted in cheers, eager for the spectacle.
While Bai Yanxing’s raw strength wasn’t top-tier—after all, she was a woman—years of experience fighting Zombies had honed her combat style to prioritize agility. Her grip was also formidable; anyone capable of plunging a dagger through a Zombie’s brainstem was no weakling.
However, even the mightiest war god couldn’t withstand such overwhelming numbers.
Su Tang couldn’t bear to watch the Female Lead get beaten, so she rushed forward, trying to separate the two factions.
Clearly, those blinded by rage wouldn’t heed her intervention. Su Tang was shoved aside, stumbling and nearly falling.
But someone else hit the ground first.
It was the muscular man, a razor-sharp dagger pressed against her throat.
“Try moving again,” Bai Yanxing said, her brows lowered, her expression a chilling mix of ferocity and icy detachment.
“Stop… How could you use a knife? This isn’t fair…” The man’s voice trembled.
No matter how strong someone was, their delicate neck couldn’t withstand the blade.
“If you bark like a dog again or look at Su Tang with those dog eyes, I won’t hesitate to cut you down.”
Bai Yanxing’s tone was light and airy, yet her words sent a chill down the spine of anyone who had witnessed her slaughtering zombies.
Everyone knew she wasn’t bluffing.
The farce ended abruptly.
Su Tang rushed over to help the Female Lead, who had clearly taken a few punches. Fine cuts oozed bl00d from the corners of her mouth and the bridge of her nose, a sight that tugged at Su Tang’s heart.
Supporting her, Su Tang led her to the cafeteria. She ordered a bystander to fetch medical supplies. The man, naturally unwilling to refuse the Chief’s daughter’s request, reluctantly abandoned her entertainment and hurried to retrieve the supplies.
“They wouldn’t dare touch me. Next time, I’ll tell my dad, and they won’t even dare to look at me sideways.”
Su Tang pulled out a tissue and gently wiped the bl00d from the corner of Bai Yanxing’s mouth, her eyes softening with tenderness.
“It’s nothing. I just couldn’t stand their behavior. Even if it weren’t you, I would have done the same for any girl.”
Bai Yanxing murmured in response, but she was lying. She had a cold-blooded nature and would normally stay out of others’ affairs. Yet today, for some reason, anger had surged through her mind, compelling her to speak up and defend Su Tang.
After only a brief wait, the person Su Tang had asked brought over the bandages. She took one, murmured a soft “thank you,” and tore open the adhesive strip.
That simple “thank you” sent a shock through the man.
The Chief’s daughter had always been arrogant and domineering. Why was she being so polite now?
Su Tang gently applied the bandage to the corner of Bai Yanxing’s mouth, her fingertip lightly smoothing it into place, barely able to contain her emotions.
Su Tang cupped Bai Yanxing’s cheeks, her warm lips pressing against the bandage. Even through the barrier, Bai Yanxing could feel the softness of Su Tang’s lips.
“Thank you,” she murmured.
Bai Yanxing’s face flushed crimson.
“What are you doing…?” she stammered, still trying to maintain her facade of indifference.
“Did you like the kiss?” Su Tang asked with a smile. If I don’t take the initiative, there won’t be a story, she thought. Besides, the Female Lead clearly isn’t repulsed by me. In the novel, her romantic entanglement with the Female Lead was almost aggressively awkward.
Even when reading the novel, Su Tang had sensed that Bai Yanxing possessed a natural talent for loving women.
“I…” Bai Yanxing couldn’t answer.
“You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to. But I want you to know that I really like you.”
“Thank you for standing up for me.”
Su Tang pressed a finger against Bai Yanxing’s lips, not expecting an immediate response. Her fingertip lingered against the soft flesh, as if claiming ownership.
