- Transmigrating as a Cannon Fodder in the Apocalypse, Seducing the Mad Female Lead
- Chapter 36 - You Belong Only to Me
The wind and snow howled as Su Tang led Bai Yanxing out of the cafeteria and toward her cabin. The cabin was built from raw timber, coated with a layer of paint and wax, giving it an exceptionally refined appearance from afar.
As expected of a structure meticulously crafted by Su Jianyu, even a few Jumping Zombies wouldn’t be able to breach it immediately.
“Tell me, why did you suddenly drink today? And such strong liquor at that?” Su Tang asked.
One whiff of the liquor told Su Tang it was pure alcohol, the kind only a reckless person would dare to drink straight.
She could understand drinking a cup or two to warm up in the cold weather.
But…
This seemed rather out of character for the Female Lead!
“Because…”
Perhaps due to the alcohol, Bai Yanxing’s mind was sluggish, unable to fully process thoughts and logic.
“I was feeling unhappy.”
“Su Tang… just the thought of you possibly liking someone else… I can’t accept it.”
Su Tang heard these words just as she unlocked the cabin door. Her fingers trembled slightly, and the key nearly slipped from her grasp.
Su Tang had forgotten that the Female Lead in the original novel possessed an incredibly possessive nature.
Now that she had been marked by Bai Yanxing, she naturally wouldn’t want her to care so deeply about another person.
But she was truly innocent!
Su Tang had previously worried that Bai Yanxing might be drawn to Gu Mei, just as in the novel—a mutual appreciation, a friendship above all else, a romance that never quite blossomed.
Now it seemed both of them had stepped on the same landmine.
“Who told you I’d like someone else?” Su Tang said with a smile. “I only like you. Besides, if I really liked so many people, how could I possibly keep up?”
Bai Yanxing didn’t have that unpleasant, boozy smell; instead, her breath carried a faint, delicate fragrance.
When she wasn’t fighting through hordes of zombies, she looked like a cool, aloof woman, making others want to tease and touch her.
“But what if you fall for someone else?” Bai Yanxing’s eyes rimmed with red, as if she were about to cry, but she didn’t. She rarely shed tears easily, especially when it was just her own baseless speculation.
“Do I look like that kind of person…?” Su Tang found herself in a helpless situation. The original owner of her body might have liked Chen Bin, but that wasn’t her.
“No, you don’t,” Bai Yanxing replied with a smile, lowering her head. Her soft, slightly damp lips brushed against Su Tang’s neck, sending shivers down her spine.
“Su Tang, I know you’re the best…”
“If you ever fall for someone else, I wouldn’t mind competing with her.”
“Or… killing her…”
Hearing the Female Lead’s final murmured words, goosebumps erupted across Su Tang’s back.
They say people reveal their true feelings when drunk. Even though Su Tang knew the Female Lead’s character was ruthless and cruel, hearing her say such things still sent a chill down her spine.
But…
Bai Yanxing was always so kind to those around him.
“You wouldn’t kill others, but you’d spare me?” Su Tang reached out with warm fingers to playfully rub Bai Yanxing’s upturned nose, as if pressing a slightly bouncy jelly.
“I couldn’t…”
Bai Yanxing pressed her lips together, letting out a soft chuckle, her slightly husky voice resonating in her ear.
It carried a heavy undertone of possessiveness and obsession.
Su Tang’s heart churned with mixed emotions. She felt like she had provoked someone she shouldn’t have…
But she said nothing, simply heading to the bathroom. Su Tang’s bathroom wasn’t particularly spacious, but it was well-equipped despite its small size.
Except for the absence of a bathtub.
Bai Yanxing had only drunk one glass of wine and wasn’t so drunk that she couldn’t take care of herself. She raised her hand to remove her brown overcoat.
The zipper slid all the way down, revealing a cozy white cashmere sweater underneath. Even the loose-fitting sweater couldn’t conceal Bai Yanxing’s subtly alluring figure.
When Su Tang entered with fresh clothes, she was struck by this arresting sight. Bai Yanxing was still tugging at the hem of her sweater.
He was likely trying to take it off for a shower, but her hands were fumbling. After all, a cashmere sweater wasn’t as easy to remove as a zippered coat.
“Stop struggling, I’ll help you,” Su Tang said.
Su Tang set the clothes aside and slowly approached.
“Su Tang, I can do it…”
Even drunk, she remained stubbornly proud.
“Nonsense. You’ve already messed up your hair trying to undo it.”
Su Tang gently stroked Bai Yanxing’s soft cheek, her voice earnest. She then pressed her hands against her waist, her delicate fingertips brushing against her slightly tensed muscles.
Both froze for a moment.
But Su Tang, ever composed, continued undressing her without betraying her surprise.
During the bath, Bai Yanxing was as obedient as a puppy. She remained perfectly still as Su Tang rinsed her with the showerhead.
She untied her short hair, setting the black hair tie aside.
With her hair soaked, she resembled a large, rain-drenched black dog.
Taking advantage of her drunken state, Su Tang leaned in and kissed her earlobe, pulling away immediately.
This wasn’t an attempt to win the Female Lead’s favor.
It was a genuine expression of her… affection for him.
That’s why she wanted to do it.
The next day dawned.
The howling wind had subsided considerably, suggesting the worst of the cold had passed. A thick layer of snow blanketed the ground outside, and the sounds of children playing drifted through the air.
Bai Yanxing opened her eyes.
He found herself wearing a black tank top, a faint ache throbbing in her head. The curtains weren’t fully drawn.
Thump! A snowball struck the window. Almost instinctively, Bai Yanxing reached for the handgun on the bedside table.
His finger was about to flick off the safety when she realized it was just a snowball mark.
The children’s laughter and shouts outside made it clear who was responsible for the mischief.
Bai Yanxing sighed in relief. Those mischievous kids, she thought.
He set the gun aside and was about to sit up when she felt a pair of arms tighten around her waist.
Without even turning her head, she knew who it was.
Bai Yanxing glanced back to see Su Tang sleeping soundly, her face flushed with peaceful slumber. Not even the commotion of the snowball fight outside had managed to rouse her.
Remembering she had a mission to carry out today, Bai Yanxing turned around and poked the person lying on the bed with her finger.
Though her head was a little dizzy, she figured a blast of cold wind would clear it right up.
After all, he’d only had one drink last night.
But to get this drunk after just one drink? Bai Yanxing felt her dignity had taken a serious hit.
Su Tang felt something brushing across her face, back and forth. Thinking it was a mosquito, she instinctively slapped at it.
But instead of a mosquito, her hand landed on the warm back of someone’s hand.
Frowning, Su Tang reached out and grasped the hand, carefully stroking it. The fingers were long… very much like someone she knew.
Sensing something was off, Su Tang was about to open her eyes when a voice spoke in her ear.
“Had enough touching?”
“Tangtang.”
Su Tang instantly snapped awake.
To be honest, her classmates used to call her by this nickname too. But hearing Bai Yanxing use it with such intimate warmth was a first.
