- Transmigrating as a Crazy Villainess, She Becomes Invincible by Slacking Off
- Chapter 30 - Irresistible Joy!
Sigh, if I can’t figure it out, I’ll just stop thinking about it for now.
Following the Demon Sealing Stone, Ruan Dongling circled Spirit Mist City and had already collected twelve small demon beasts.
There was a chick demon hiding among the domestic chickens, a bunny demon mixed in with the rabbits, and a trembling snake demon coiled in the grass.
These little creatures were clearly just animals with a touch of spiritual awareness.
By now, many Heaven Origin Sect disciples were also capturing these demon beasts in Spirit Mist City.
With the demon beasts nearly all captured, many disciples had already begun to depart.
Ruan Dongling whistled, and Too Flashy’s dazzlingly radiant form materialized. Carrying her on his back, he soared out of the Heaven Origin Sect’s territory and into the true Human Realm.
The true boundary between the Human Realm and the Cultivation World was the towering Dream Immortal Mountain Range, its peaks piercing the clouds.
South of the ten-thousand-mile-long Dream Immortal Mountain Range lay the Human Realm.
Within True Martial Prefecture, the Human Realm’s territory was the most vast, and its mortal population the largest, estimated at nearly fifty billion.
The Human Realm contained countless mortal cities, each governed by its own rules of survival, and nearly a thousand nations, not to mention countless tribes.
Cultivators entering the Human Realm must not use magic to interfere with the karma of mortals. Violating this rule would result in karmic backlash from the laws of heaven and earth, obstructing their Immortal Path.
After crossing Dream Immortal Mountain, Ruan Dongling was immediately greeted by the bustling atmosphere of human life.
She had long wanted to explore these lively cities, and this mission provided the perfect excuse to do so without guilt.
She chose a large city and instructed Too Flashy to land discreetly in the forest outside its walls.
Above the towering city gate were inscribed the three characters: “Anshan City.”
It was early morning, and rustic villagers from the surrounding hamlets were streaming into the city for the market day. Many carried shoulder poles laden with firewood and other goods, queuing at the gate to be inspected by the guards before entering.
Once inside the city walls, Ruan Dongling’s excitement surged.
Shops lined both sides of the streets, teeming with crowds of people. Street vendors hawked their wares, their voices rising above the din as they peddled colorful goods.
A group of children raced past her, jostling and laughing as they played in the street.
Hearing their conversation, Ruan Dongling’s interest was suddenly piqued.
Following the children through a maze of winding streets, Ruan Dongling found herself in a quiet corner of the city, apparently a residential area for commoners.
The children were huddled together, whispering and plotting something, when they heard someone speak.
“Um, can I come with you too?”
The children looked up at Ruan Dongling, exchanged glances, and stared at each other in confusion.
One of them wiped his snotty nose and grumbled, “You’re an adult. How can you come with us?”
As he spoke, the children’s eyes all fixed on the handful of malt candy Ruan Dongling was holding.
“I’m still a kid at heart, just a bit taller!” Ruan Dongling shamelessly lied.
She divided the candy among the children. “Alright, now we’re a team! You have to take me with you!”
With their mouths full of candy, the children nodded eagerly.
As Ruan Dongling and the children quietly hid to the side, a saying suddenly came to mind: “Men remain boys until they die!”
Ruan Dongling found this saying biased. Why only men? Couldn’t women remain girls until they died too?
So, it wasn’t unreasonable for her twenty-year-old soul to indulge in something that would typically interest an eight-year-old, right?
After all, who could resist the sheer joy of blowing up cow dung?
With a hiss, the sound of the fuse burning made the children’s eyes widen in anticipation, waiting for the most thrilling moment.
Crack! Crack! Crack! The firecrackers exploded!
A massive clump of cow dung was blasted into the air, scattering across the sky!
“Wow! That was awesome!” The children clapped and cheered, jumping up and down in excitement!
Ruan Dongling also leaped up, relishing a long-lost sense of joy.
Startled by the explosion, an old yellow ox in the shed bellowed loudly and began kicking wildly.
With a sudden surge of force, it ripped the shed post it was tethered to right out of the ground.
As the post fell, the entire flimsy shed collapsed with a thunderous crash.
Worse still, the terrified ox charged straight toward their hiding place.
“We’re in deep trouble now!” Ruan Dongling exclaimed, realizing the five little radish heads were frozen in fear.
She stepped forward and swiftly subdued the panicked ox.
As soon as the little radish heads recovered from their shock, they scattered in all directions, crying and shouting.
Ruan Dongling watched them flee and snorted coldly.
They think I’ll take the blame alone?
Not in this lifetime!
“Brave Bull, listen to me! Lie down!”
Ruan Dongling gently patted the old yellow ox’s head, trying to get it to lie down so she could slip away.
But the moment her hand touched the ox’s head, she sensed a faint trace of demonic energy!
How could an ordinary farm animal possess demonic energy?
Before the thought could fully form, the old yellow ox’s eyes suddenly turned crimson.
With a violent toss of its head, its blunt horns charged straight at Ruan Dongling!
The once-gentle ox now radiated demonic energy, transforming into a demonic beast.
Its body swelled to three or four times its original size, moving with wind-like speed and boundless strength. It even opened its massive jaws to bite at Ruan Dongling.
Ruan Dongling considered ending the ox with a single sword strike.
But this ox was a farmer’s livestock, their property.
Though she didn’t know why it had transformed, many farmers valued their oxen and horses more than their own lives. Slaughtering the ox rashly would likely bring endless trouble.
Ruan Dongling tried to calm the ox, but it was impossible. The demonic energy had completely corrupted the animal.
At that moment, farmers began to arrive one after another.
The commotion from the collapsed cowshed had drawn the owner of the maddened bull, as well as neighboring farmers.
An elderly farmer, still some distance away, saw the frenzied bull and immediately recoiled in terror, his legs giving way as he collapsed to the ground.
“A demon… a monster! There’s a demon! A terrifying Bull Demon!”
The old farmer’s booming voice, full of vigor, froze the approaching farmers in their tracks.
“Get away from here! This bull is cursed! Don’t get close!”
“Watch closely! This is a Bull Demon! I’m here to slay demons and exorcise evil!”
Ruan Dongling, with no time for hesitation, couldn’t resist adding that last line.
With the Crimson Cloud Sword in hand, she swiftly decapitated the bull with a single strike.
Bull bl00d sprayed several meters, some droplets even splattering onto the faces of the petrified onlookers.
As the bull’s head hit the ground, its bloated body deflated like a punctured balloon, gradually returning to its original size.
But the bl00d flowing from the bull gradually turned pitch-black, an eerie sight that sent shivers down the spines of those watching.
Once the chaos subsided, the elderly farmer finally regained his senses. He burst into tears, wailing,
“Oh, the tragedy! My poor bull! What a terrible fate… How will this old man survive now?”
The old farmer’s neighbors rushed to comfort him, but he couldn’t hear them. Without his old yellow ox, his livelihood was gone, and life held no hope.
At that moment, Ruan Dongling had no time to console anyone. Her eyes were fixed on the sky.
A faint whistling sound pierced the air. Ruan Dongling twisted to dodge, narrowly avoiding several gleaming silver projectiles.
“Demon Lord, where do you think you’re going?!” Three cultivators descended from the sky, shouting at her from a distance.
These cultivators had likely been drawn by the demonic energy emanating from the old yellow ox. They probably mistook her for a Demonic Cultivator.
Ruan Dongling’s eyes widened as she realized all three cultivators were at the Foundation Establishment stage, with one even at the late Foundation Establishment realm.
I can’t afford to fight them! I need to explain!
Before her mind could catch up, the words blurted out: “Wait, wait! We’re on the same side! This is a misunderstanding!”
My mouth moved faster than my brain. Case closed.
Ruan Dongling shouted, ready to continue explaining, when she spotted a familiar face.
It was her former Third Senior Brother, the most hypocritical of them all: Zhong Zimuo.
The words froze on her lips.
