Transmigrating Before The Crazy Beauty Scum A Loses Control - Chapter 10
Luan Yenan patiently waited outside the fitting room, wandering around the small shop once more, but soon a sense of fatigue washed over her. She lazily perched herself on the bar stool at the cashier’s counter, leaning against it.
Using the scissors on the counter, she cut off the tags from her clothes and then flipped through her phone for a while.
It wasn’t until the curtain of the fitting room was slowly drawn back and Zuo Baixuan emerged that she looked up.
Luan Yenan had a good eye; the beige strapless long dress fit Zuo Baixuan perfectly.
Paired with a light green sun-protective jacket.
The colors brought a bright hue to her pale, delicate face.
Without any additional adornments, she looked her best.
The swaying small flowers exuded a fresh, sweet, botanical fragrance.
Luan Yenan was also stunned by the effect.
She had thought this outfit would look good on Zuo Baixuan, but she hadn’t expected it to be so striking that it would captivate her gaze. Only after imprinting this image firmly in her mind did she blink, joining the shop assistants in praise: “It really does look beautiful.”
Zuo Baixuan’s gaze passed over the two shop assistants and met Luan Yenan’s.
She lightly bit her lip, lowered her eyes to avoid the gaze, and half-truthfully showed a shy expression.
“Yes, yes, it really does look beautiful! Why not try on the others too!” The petite shop assistant laid out the clothes that Luan Yenan had picked out after her round in the shop.
But Luan Yenan waved her hand, placing her credit card on the counter: “No need to try them on, I’ll take them all. Can you arrange for same-day delivery to our home?”
The petite shop assistant was slightly taken aback; this lady was so decisive, so cool!
One shop assistant took the payment while the other started packing.
Zuo Baixuan turned to go back and change out of the clothes.
But Luan Yenan picked up the scissors from the table and walked over to grab Zuo Baixuan’s hand.
Zuo Baixuan, being pulled, saw the cold weapon in Luan Yenan’s hand through the full-length mirror, instantly recalling the scenes from last night.
Her hands and feet turned cold with fear, and she dared not move as she stared into Luan Yenan’s dark eyes.
Surely, this person wouldn’t act out in public, would she?
But then again, maybe she would.
However, Luan Yenan simply showed her the tag she was cutting off as she approached.
Seeing Zuo Baixuan stiffen her neck and slightly tilt her head up, Luan Yenan suddenly smiled and said, “It looks good, let’s go home in this outfit today.”
After cutting off the tag, she put the scissors back on the cashier’s counter.
Only then did Zuo Baixuan’s gaze shift away from the scissors, and her muscles relaxed.
Luan Yenan watched this scene, her interest spilling over like overturned rainbow candies, scattering colors everywhere. She flicked her fingers lightly at Zuo Baixuan’s neck: “It’s just missing something.”
Zuo Baixuan’s cold sweat had stopped, but fine beads still lingered, her heart beating wildly.
This person leaned in closer, reducing the distance between them.
In the full-length mirror opposite, the two appeared more intimately close than before.
“But, if we’re going home to meet our mothers, won’t we be running out of time?” Zuo Baixuan swallowed her nervousness and also turned to look at Luan Yenan.
Luan Yenan was pleased with the little white flower’s current performance and smiled without pressing further, stepping back half a step. She reached out with her phone from behind the nervous girl and showed it to her.
The screen displayed a message from the Luan family’s driver, specifically sent ahead of time, stating that Luan Yenan’s Alpha mother wouldn’t be available until the afternoon, so the driver would wait until four in the afternoon to pick them up.
Luan Yenan confirmed that Zuo Baixuan had read the message before speaking: “So, we can go eat first, then stroll around.”
Zuo Baixuan wasn’t sure how to cooperate with the strolling part.
But at least regarding the meal, she played the role of the obedient wife, asking her spouse’s opinion: “What would you like to eat?”
But when she turned to look at Luan Yenan, the woman had already taken back her bank card and was heading towards the door.
There was no sign of the inseparable newlywed couple.
Yet, she turned back with a smile that made the two shop assistants exclaim how sweet it was.
“Let’s eat what you usually eat, I’ll follow you.”
As Luan Yenan spoke, accompanied by the jingle of the bell on the door, she had already pushed the door open and walked out, leaving Zuo Baixuan no chance to refuse.
“Then we’ll be going now, thank you for your hard work with the clothes, and please help tidy up the ones inside, sorry about that.” Zuo Baixuan didn’t forget to say goodbye to the two shop assistants.
The petite shop assistant immediately responded: “No problem, no problem, you two go enjoy your world! The honeymoon phase after just getting married is so sweet! Wishing you a hundred years of happiness!”
Hearing the blessing, Zuo Baixuan smiled sweetly and then walked out the door.
Once outside, the smile on her face faded.
She looked towards Luan Yenan, who was leisurely strolling out along the alley, and quickly followed with small steps.
The two girls, one in black and one in white, walked on the bluestone road, as if dividing the path into two distinct halves, yet harmoniously merging together at the narrow parts of the alley.
Following the bluestone road to its end, they reached the bustling commercial street they had passed when they came in.
Logically, from here on out, it would be Luan Yenan’s territory, but she stopped, determined to let Zuo Baixuan take the lead in choosing the direction.
The wind at the alley’s entrance tousled Zuo Baixuan’s hair, obscuring her vision. She reached out to tuck her hair behind her ear, lightly pressing it down.
She passed by Luan Yenan and led the way forward.
Luan Yenan glanced at the slender, empty fingers and remembered the jewelry box she had scanned in the morning.
It was filled with accessories featuring skulls, hexagrams, and other elements.
The necklace she was wearing now was so out of place that it had been placed in another compartment.
As for the wedding ring, of course, there was none prepared.
She thought about it and made a plan: “Wait, let’s go to this shop first. We need to get a necklace and a ring.”
Zuo Baixuan watched as Luan Yenan entered the gold shop by the roadside. She clenched her palm, a sense of aversion rising within her.
For others, a ring carries sweetness, represents love, and announces to the world that they have a committed partner.
For her, it was a prop for the act, a constant reminder of the contractual spirit, a reminder that as Party B, she must comply with Party A’s wishes.
These associations sent shivers down Zuo Baixuan’s spine.
Her already scarce freedom felt like it had been sliced away once more.
In the end, she obediently followed into the gold shop, playing the role of a dutiful tool.
After explaining her requirements to the shopkeeper, Luan Yenan selected a suitable necklace and a pair of simple gold rings of the right size, then paid and had the shop engrave them.
All in one go.
A frivolous marriage.
Choosing accessories and rings so casually.
Zuo Baixuan gazed listlessly at the glittering display hall.
In the hall, couples here and there wore smiles on their faces, perhaps only she would appear so lifeless in a gold shop.
Luan Yenan leaned sideways on the counter: “We’re just buying these to deal with the parents for now. If you’re not satisfied, when I’m a bit more financially comfortable, we can go for custom-designed pieces.”
How nice, how considerate of a wife.
Noticing her wife’s mood wasn’t right, she immediately comforted her.
The saleswoman also smiled at Luan Yenan, impressed by her decisiveness in swiping the card as soon as her wife agreed.
Zuo Baixuan looked at Luan Yenan, was she going to act even in such a situation?
Right.
Lin Xiaoxiao could appear out of nowhere.
In this bustling commercial district, they might run into many of her friends or students from Jing City University.
Zuo Baixuan directly reached out with both hands to tug at the fabric at Luan Yenan’s waist, actively closing the distance: “That’s not what I meant. I was thinking that since you’re tight on cash now, the ring isn’t urgent, and accessories aren’t important to me. Besides, I’m still studying, and wearing a ring to class would be strange, so…”
This sounded very considerate.
But Luan Yenan interrupted her: “But today, when that classmate of yours appeared and bullied you, I was a bit angry. Although the ring we’re buying now isn’t worth much, I’ll always wear it. It’s a declaration of sovereignty, I am yours. Ah Nan belongs to Little Xuan.”
She pinched the flesh on Zuo Baixuan’s cheek, her narrow eyes shedding their fox-like cunning, revealing more sincerity.
Zuo Baixuan’s heart skipped a beat.
Had this person gotten too into character while acting?
Did she believe the words she was saying herself?
It sounded so nice, “Ah Nan belongs to Little Xuan.”
More like she wanted people to know “Zuo Baixuan belongs to Luan Yenan.” right?
Before Zuo Baixuan could respond, Luan Yenan continued: “And, you don’t have to feel embarrassed about wearing a ring. Rather than letting people at your school speculate about this and that, it’s better to tell them directly…”
Luan Yenan paused.
Following the closeness Zuo Baixuan had initiated, she bent down to put the necklace on her, whispering in her ear so only they could hear: “Don’t you want to win something from this bet?”
Zuo Baixuan was stunned.
Luan Yenan stepped back to confirm the progress of the ring engraving with the shop assistant.
So, are you going to let me win something?
Zuo Baixuan couldn’t ask.
She even had a feeling.
Luan Yenan was taking great interest in nurturing her.
Wanting to teach her how to better utilize everything at her disposal.
Teaching her how to win.
Luan Yenan was enjoying the process. She might even snatch away both fruits one day.
Who knows?
If there really was a gambling table here, they would be the two parties sitting at it, how could they both win?
In games, there’s always a winner and a loser.
If they both win, from whom would they profit?
Could it be fate?
Author’s note:
Luan Yenan: Hmm… why can’t it be fate?
Thank you very much for your support, I will continue to work hard!
