Transmigrating Before The Crazy Beauty Scum A Loses Control - Chapter 42
The meeting room was enveloped in silence.
None of the high-level executives seated in the room were individuals originally placed by Luan Lizheng. They were all technical personnel who had diligently climbed the ranks under Luan Muyin’s guidance.
While their cunning might not match that of the few shareholders left by Luan Lizheng, their intelligence and authority were certainly not lacking.
At this moment, they were staring blankly at the PowerPoint slide that still displayed “Thank you for watching.”
Someone had also found the cloud storage webpage Luan Yenan had used earlier, confirming that the domain was under the umbrella of “Yituan Network Technology Co., Ltd.”
Luan Muyin glanced at the business card in her hand, which read “Yituan E-commerce Co., Ltd.”
Without needing to look further, she knew there was a connection between the two.
The expanded scope of operations made Luan Muyin narrow her eyes in contemplation. Luan Yenan had been growing in places unknown to her, quietly setting up a grand chessboard.
Perhaps this time, it wasn’t her who needed to counter Luan Lizheng’s moves, nor was it necessary.
At that moment, a collective gasp from employees echoed in the hallway.
It was likely that those who had just taken the elevator had run into the Luan couple, startling them.
“Was that the eldest Luan daughter and her wife just now?”
“Must have been. Who else would dare to swagger around like that?”
“Am I the only one who thought they looked really cool and stunning?”
“Definitely not just you!”
The chatter among the employees snapped everyone in the meeting room back to reality.
A tall, slightly balding man stood up, scratching his head for a moment before addressing Luan Muyin, “Ms. Luan, could I get a copy of this PowerPoint? I’d like to discuss it further with my team. It might take some time before we can give… Yenan a response.”
“Ms. Luan, I need it too. This concept, it’s really… I feel like my mind is in a whirl right now.”
“Same here! Ms. Luan, we need some time.”
Once one bright mind caught on, others followed suit.
They felt as though they had been transported back to their student days, being lectured by a university professor, suddenly enlightened.
Someone then recalled another rumor about Luan Yenan.
She had become a guest professor at Jing City University.
Could they sneak into her lectures at the university?
Some began pondering the feasibility.
Luan Muyin was both amused and exasperated, “Do you think Yenan and I planned this in advance? I’ll discuss it first. If you have any questions or need anything, compile them and send them to me by the end of the day, and I’ll relay them.”
“Great! That’s perfect!”
“Thank you, Ms. Luan!!”
…
Unaware of what transpired in the meeting room afterward, Luan Yenan and Zuo Baixuan, like a pair of butterflies—one white, one pink—fluttered into the elevator, startling the employees who scattered away. Inside the elevator, the two couldn’t help but laugh, yet neither spoke, maintaining a certain unspoken understanding as they left the “front end” together.
Only when they returned to the car and settled in did Luan Yenan speak up: “When I said we’re going back to school, I meant it. We can have a meal there.”
“And when you said we’d practice dancing, you meant that too. I can tell the truth from lies.” Zuo Baixuan replied, fastening her seatbelt and staring straight at Luan Yenan.
Luan Yenan gave a soft “hmm” a brief sound, but Zuo Baixuan could hear the hint of laughter in her tone.
As the car moved forward and Luan Yenan fell silent, Zuo Baixuan also let out a soft “hmm” reigniting the conversation: “So, the person who’s been assigning me tasks all along is ‘Huanyu,’ right?”
Luan Yenan drove steadily, her fingers lightly tapping on the steering wheel.
Her tone carried an indescribable lightness: “You actually figured it out.”
Though her words sounded surprised, her expression didn’t match. Zuo Baixuan fell silent for a few seconds.
Watching Luan Yenan like this, she really seemed like a child playing hide-and-seek.
Her thoughts hovered between not wanting to be found and not wanting to remain hidden.
Being caught directly felt boring, so she hid well, but after hiding for too long and realizing no one was coming to find her, she deliberately peeked out.
A bold little head popping out of the closet—if you couldn’t see that, it wasn’t a lack of skill in hide-and-seek, but rather a case of being blind.
“You didn’t even try to hide it from me, did you? Even when ‘Huanyu’ assigned me tasks. It’s my own lack of skill that I couldn’t detect the traces you left on my computer. Today, though, I recognized familiar snippets of code from your mention of ‘cloud computing’ and their discussion of ‘blockchain'” Zuo Baixuan remarked.
This was true.
Luan Yenan had told “Huanyu” about her relationship with Zuo Baixuan, and “Huanyu” didn’t mind, even entrusting them with more significant projects.
Even Jiang Lingdan had recently remarked on how generous their sponsor had become.
Though Zuo Baixuan only received tasks unilaterally, she was already deeply involved.
Luan Yenan nodded, acknowledging Zuo Baixuan’s observation.
Zuo Baixuan also smiled: “Who would have thought? Many people have been speculating about how you got involved with ‘Huanyu,’ including me. But no one guessed that the key was me.”
She pieced together all the logical connections and naturally understood what had happened.
Zuo Baixuan didn’t press about the past or inquire about future plans, simply tilting her head to look at Luan Yenan.
Using the same gaze Luan Yenan often did, her eyes wandered, scanning Luan Yenan’s face and body.
Zuo Baixuan had never considered herself someone who cared much about appearances, as she was usually too busy to pay attention to others’ looks. Even when she occasionally encountered someone attractive, her gaze would just sweep past.
But Luan Yenan’s beauty was undeniable, radiating from within and making it hard to look away.
She also never thought of herself as someone who admired strength, as she didn’t change her attitude just because someone around her was more capable. In fact, she often felt a subconscious urge to challenge authority.
But Luan Yenan’s recent behavior made Zuo Baixuan want to learn from her, even embracing the madness within Luan Yenan.
Her composure and ability to control the situation gave her the right to be a little crazy.
Zuo Baixuan pursed her lips.
Luan Yenan knew Zuo Baixuan was watching her from the side, but she didn’t mind. Instead, she smoothed the wrinkles on her shirt and raised the corner of her mouth slightly.
She let Zuo Baixuan look at her as long as she wanted.
…
Driving back to the school.
They boldly went to the cafeteria for a meal, attracting the attention of many students.
After the previous incidents of “Luan Yenan picking up Zuo Baixuan after class” and “Zuo Baixuan attending Luan Yenan’s lecture” the couple had gained quite a few admirers among the students.
Their entrance into the cafeteria caused quite a stir.
However, as Luan Yenan’s gaze swept around, there were no bold students daring to disturb her, maintaining a respectful distance as if keeping the waters separate.
Coincidentally, in the center of the cafeteria, four individuals were seated at a table.
Snakes, insects, rats, and ants.
The surrounding students whispered among themselves, having heard about the incident in Professor Chen’s office, and wondered what the consequences would be when Luan Yenan and these four met in the cafeteria.
The four individuals had varying expressions upon seeing the Luan-Zuo couple.
Bao Xinglong was the most pragmatic.
After the unexpected induction of his sensitive period that day, he had spent a week at home in fear and recuperation, also receiving a week of ideological education from his parents, quickly realizing the reality.
Not to mention that Luan Yenan had re-established her formidable reputation in the Jing City’s circles; even if she were still the same despised and crazy Alpha as before, it was not something his small family could contend with.
After returning to school following the end of his sensitive period, he lived in constant fear, worried that Luan Yenan would come to settle accounts with him. But the reckoning never came, and these past few days had been like years for him, visibly losing weight and his face showing signs of weariness.
Upon seeing Luan Yenan appear, his eyes lit up, and he immediately straightened up, bowing to her in greeting.
Luan Yenan only noticed the four under Bao Xinglong’s conspicuous display of submission, her gaze sweeping over them, taking in their states.
Poison bee, who always followed Bao Xinglong’s lead, also bowed in apology and greeting.
Only Ye Cangxing was still resentful, possibly angered by the Luan-Zuo couple’s previous disregard for Lin Xiaoxiao’s dignity. After a glance at Luan Yenan, he immediately looked away, not sparing another glance.
On the other hand, Ant, who had the least connection with them, had the strangest demeanor, with a peculiar expression and his gaze flickering towards Zuo Baixuan.
This made Luan Yenan narrow her eyes.
“Let’s go eat the hot pot over there, it looks quite delicious.” Zuo Baixuan ultimately chose the least crowded spot.
Luan Yenan had no objections and followed her there, not forgetting to glance once more in the direction of the snakes, insects, rats, and ants.
Seeing Luan Yenan look over, Bao Xinglong stood up again, extremely respectful.
Poison bee also lowered his posture.
Ye Cangxing had already started eating, wanting nothing to do with them.
Ant was peeling shrimp for Ye Cangxing, as if the extra attention earlier was just an illusion.
…
After the meal, Luan Yenan received a call from Professor Chen.
“Hmm? Okay, we’ll be right over.” Luan Yenan responded before hanging up.
Zuo Baixuan handed Luan Yenan an ice cream she was holding: “Here, have an ice cream.”
Luan Yenan put away her phone but didn’t take the ice cream, instead leaning in to take a bite, leaving an irregular shape on the square ice cream: “Thanks, it’s delicious.”
Zuo Baixuan thought she had gotten used to all of Luan Yenan’s sudden actions, but this move still left her somewhat flustered. Compared to kissing, hand-feeding seemed even more intimate.
Looking at the row of teeth marks on the ice cream, Zuo Baixuan thought of her own shoulder and slightly withdrew her hand: “I meant for you to hold it and eat it yourself, not for me to feed you.”
Luan Yenan’s eyes were filled with amusement as she looked at the ice cream in Zuo Baixuan’s left hand with a small bite taken out of it, and then at the ice cream in her right hand, which she had already eaten two-thirds of.
She remembered a few days ago when the weather was hot, and in the afternoon meeting, she had just arrived to see several students gathered together eating ice pops.
Among them, Zuo Baixuan only had a stick.
Someone couldn’t help but remark on how quickly Zuo Baixuan was eating.
Jiang Lingdan then explained: Little Zuo’er has no other hobbies, she just loves eating ice cream, so don’t make fun of her.
Of course, no one really wanted to make fun of her.
Even Luan Yenan, who was listening in, found it quite interesting, discovering a treasure trove of contrasting cuteness in Zuo Baixuan.
“I can’t eat that much, just tasting it is enough. I see you really like it, so you can have more.” Luan Yenan bent down and took a second bite out of the ice cream’s tip.
Zuo Baixuan’s face flushed with a hint of red due to Luan Yenan’s intentionally ambiguous gesture, but she managed to hold her ground. Her eyes steadied, and she smiled at Luan Yenan, saying, “Then I won’t stand on ceremony!”
Happily taking bites from both ice creams, not minding that one of them had been lightly bitten by Luan Yenan, she savored the satisfaction.
Luan Yenan watched this side of Zuo Baixuan she had never seen before, and strange thoughts began to emerge in her heart.
She wanted to directly buy out the entire ice cream freezer for Zuo Baixuan to enjoy to her heart’s content, but also worried that eating too much might upset her stomach.
In the end, Luan Yenan resisted the impulsive and childish tycoon behavior, simply reaching out to take the napkin Zuo Baixuan had placed under the ice cream stick.
She pulled Zuo Baixuan to a stop and used the napkin to wipe the corner of Zuo Baixuan’s mouth: “It seems like you were waiting for me to give you the ice cream all along?”
“Not at all, this is an unexpected surprise. Who can resist ice cream?” Zuo Baixuan didn’t dodge, allowing Luan Yenan to perform the couple’s duty, gently wiping away the chocolate residue from the corner of her mouth.
Luan Yenan smacked her lips, the two small bites of ice cream were rich with milk and a hint of sweet vanilla.
She stared at Zuo Baixuan’s mouth for a while.
Regretting not taking one more bite.
The ice cream tasted pretty good.
Zuo Baixuan threw the ice cream stick into the trash and grabbed Luan Yenan’s hand: “Why are you still daydreaming here? Let’s go.”
“Mm, we need to go to Professor Chen’s office first.” Luan Yenan nodded at Zuo Baixuan.
“Oh right, I heard from Lingdan that she’s helping Professor Chen today. So, did Professor Chen call you to ask for our help too?” Zuo Baixuan wiped her hands and threw away the napkin.
Luan Yenan’s gaze moved from Zuo Baixuan’s hands to her fingertips, followed the napkin, and then returned as the napkin was discarded.
“Luo Yun is here.”
“Is she planning to give you money again?” Zuo Baixuan naturally retorted.
Luan Yenan laughed, raising her hand to pat Zuo Baixuan’s head, all her actions from the heart, involuntary.
Zuo Baixuan, not wanting her hairstyle to be messed up, grabbed Luan Yenan’s hand and pulled it forward, looping it around her arm, linking arms with her, and pulling her along: “Let’s go, we should hurry and see.”
“Alright.” Luan Yenan saw Zuo Baixuan’s subtle evasion and allowed her to link arms and pull her along.
…
Upon arriving at the office, Luo Yun hadn’t arrived yet, and Professor Chen wasn’t there either. In the office, Jiang Lingdan was leaning close to Chen Huanyu, studying.
“Wow, senior, you’re amazing, I’ve learned so much, let me copy your thought process later.” Jiang Lingdan was practically glued to Chen Huanyu’s side, her eyes fixed on the screen.
Chen Huanyu’s ears were bright red, she just gave a “hmm” and then looked up to see Luan Yenan and Zuo Baixuan arriving.
Luan Yenan was looking at her.
Chen Huanyu immediately averted her gaze and cleared her throat at Jiang Lingdan.
Jiang Lingdan, taking the hint, stood up and peeked out from behind the monitor: “Little Zuo’er~ You’re here! Someone came by earlier wanting to invest in our project group, and Professor Chen took them to the principal’s office to chat. Do you want to go see?”
“No need to look, it’s already signed. Teacher Luan, hello, did Professor Chen ask you to receive me?” Luo Yun walked into the office and joked with Luan Yenan.
Luan Yenan turned around to see Luo Yun dressed normally today but with smokey eye makeup that made the otherwise unremarkable Zhang Wanjun seem as gentle as a pool of water that could wash away Luo Yun’s heavy makeup at any moment.
Seeing Luan Yenan’s slight smile, a smile without emotion, Luo Yun felt bored.
Investing in projects at the Jing City’s university was originally Luan Yenan’s suggestion.
The Luo Group’s investment scope had never included the internet direction, but since venturing into “blockchain currency” having their own team was essential.
Therefore, Luan Yenan suggested she first invest in projects at the Jing City’s university and keep a low profile.
She just didn’t expect this person, whether they misunderstood or were just lazy, to come straight to Luan Yenan’s non-profit public welfare project.
If this person insisted on tying themselves to her, Luan Yenan had no objections.
But one could only say that Luo Yun was a fool blessed with good fortune.
Thinking this, Luan Yenan glanced toward the other side of the room.
Luo Yun also followed Luan Yenan’s gaze and suddenly her eyes lit up.
Although Jiang Lingdan’s looks weren’t as outstanding as Zuo Baixuan’s, she had still made the list in the campus image representative election.
Seeing this young and beautiful college student, Luo Yun’s thoughts began to stir again.
Her previous life had left her feeling bored, and now Luan Yenan’s state seemed quite interesting.
So she was still curious about why Zuo Baixuan had been able to change Luan Yenan so much. She felt that perhaps if she found a pure and pretty college Omega, she could experience a similar transformation.
Jiang Lingdan, standing before her, instantly became her target.
“What’s your name, classmate? Are you free this afternoon? I’d like to invite you for some afternoon tea.” Luo Yun said, always one to strike directly when she saw a target. She walked over to Jiang Lingdan without hesitation.
Jiang Lingdan, however, looked up at Luo Yun with disdain. “Sorry, I have to study this afternoon.”
“Then how about tonight? I can send someone to pick you up, and we can have dinner together. What do you think?” Luo Yun’s confidence was evident in her words.
Jiang Lingdan immediately hooked her arm around Chen Huanyu’s. “I think that’s not appropriate.”
Chen Huanyu’s face turned red from her neck to the top of her head, but she stiffened her neck and looked up at Luo Yun without backing down.
Luo Yun looked at Chen Huanyu and snorted. “A Beta? What’s so great about a Beta?”
“Luo Yun, it’s time to go. You don’t have time for afternoon tea.” Zhang Wanjun suddenly interjected.
Luo Yun’s neck shrank back, and she no longer looked like the confident top-tier rich second-generation from the Jing City. She touched her forehead, realizing what she had just said.
Secretary Zhang was also a Beta.
She quickly walked back to Zhang Wanjun’s side. “Ahem, Secretary Zhang, I didn’t mean it that way. It’s just that she’s an Omega, and with an Alpha, it’s more…”
“It’s your father’s schedule. You need to go remove your makeup first.” Zhang Wanjun interrupted Luo Yun and walked out.
“Wait, wait.” Luo Yun hurriedly followed, completely forgetting about finding a college Omega.
After Luo Yun left, Jiang Lingdan let out a sigh. “That person is so strange, so full of herself.”
“Because the prey she targets rarely refuses her.” Luan Yenan commented.
Jiang Lingdan had something she wanted to say about Luan Yenan but held back, only making a comment about Luo Yun. “Her attitude just now didn’t care about my refusal. It was like my refusal was my loss, not hers.”
“You did miss out on a dinner.” Luan Yenan analyzed purely from an economic perspective, then looked at Chen Huanyu.
Chen Huanyu spoke up. “I can treat you to dinner.”
“Wow! Senior, you’re so nice! You teach me code and even treat me to dinner. Actually, I could treat you too.” Jiang Lingdan said, tugging at Chen Huanyu’s arm.
Chen Huanyu, already a light shade of red, turned a deep crimson.
Luan Yenan chuckled and hooked her arm around Zuo Baixuan’s shoulder. “Since things here are settled, let’s go practice dancing.”
“You have to dance for me first. If it’s good, then I’ll consider practicing with you.” Zuo Baixuan said, crossing her arms in emphasis.
Luan Yenan gave Zuo Baixuan a confident smile, as if she had eight hundred ways to make this transaction happen with Zuo Baixuan’s willing participation.
As they left the office, Luan Yenan glanced back. “But Jiang Lingdan and Chen Huanyu have been getting along really well lately.”
Zuo Baixuan nodded. “Lingdan likes to play with kids who lack love.”
Luan Yenan looked down at Zuo Baixuan’s expressionless profile, sensing the hidden meaning in her words.
Chen Huanyu, who was now close with Jiang Lingdan, was a kid who lacked love, and Zuo Baixuan, Jiang Lingdan’s best friend, was even more so.
A strange feeling rose in Luan Yenan’s chest.
It felt stuffy, like regret? Sympathy? Heartache?
Luan Yenan frowned.
Zuo Baixuan, however, continued to elaborate on the previous topic. “But don’t worry, Teacher Luan. Lingdan won’t date Chen Huanyu. We’ve talked about it. She just thinks Chen Huanyu is too cute. If she were to date someone, she’d prefer someone more… like that cold and silent sugar daddy type.”
Luan Yenan raised an eyebrow meaningfully but didn’t respond.
The two walked to the music school building of Jing City University.
On the top floor, there was a semi-abandoned piano room.
Inside was an old piano, a large mirror, and some stacked chairs and desks. Although it had been cleaned, it still looked like a storage room.
Students from the music school rarely rented this room, but Luan Yenan didn’t mind.
“You really rented this room?” Zuo Baixuan asked, watching Luan Yenan unlock the door.
“Didn’t you say you could tell when I’m lying?” Luan Yenan asked, looking sideways at Zuo Baixuan.
In the reflection of the floor-length mirror, their figures overlapped.
“What about your dance? I’m ready to watch.” Zuo Baixuan said, forcefully changing the subject.
Luan Yenan noticed Zuo Baixuan’s slight pout and smiled.
Her fingers lightly tapped Zuo Baixuan’s shoulder.
The touch of her fingertips against the thin fabric sent waves of coolness and ticklish sensations. “Does a finger dance count?”
Zuo Baixuan stared at Luan Yenan’s slender, well-defined fingers, her neatly trimmed nails, and the pink pads of her fingers as they tapped from her shoulder into the air.
Before Zuo Baixuan could respond.
Luan Yenan sat down at the piano and pulled her phone out of her pocket, placing it on the piano.
She opened the piano lid.
Her fingers quickly glided over the black and white keys, from middle C to the right, then back to the left.
Although the piano was old, it had been regularly tuned, and the notes were still accurate.
Luan Yenan looked at Zuo Baixuan, nodded slightly, and began to play.
The afternoon sunlight wasn’t too intense, casting a warm glow on Luan Yenan.
The window was open, and the tattered curtains fluttered in the breeze along with Luan Yenan’s hair.
Even decades later, Zuo Baixuan would still vividly remember the first time Luan Yenan played the piano for her.
Her nimble fingers, as she had said, danced like a fingertip ballet, tapping on the black and white keys, the notes falling on Zuo Baixuan’s heart.
The familiar melody of a classic waltz floated through the air.
The Blue Danube.
The shimmering Danube flowed from Luan Yenan’s fingertips, and Zuo Baixuan willingly stepped into the river, swaying gently with its rhythm.
Luan Yenan sat in the light, looking at Zuo Baixuan, and seeing the surprise in her eyes, she smiled with satisfaction.

Mini Theater:
Years later, Zuo Baixuan occasionally recalled this moment and teased, “Back then, you were like a peacock showing off, trying to get my attention. Admit it, you were already head over heels for me, weren’t you?”
Luan Yenan smiled without answering.
Zuo Baixuan, not getting an answer, was a bit annoyed but couldn’t help asking, “What were you thinking when you kept staring at me while playing the piano?”
“After all these years, you still remember it so clearly. Isn’t it you who was head over heels for me?” Luan Yenan seized the opportunity, a sly smile on her face.
Zuo Baixuan pulled the blanket over Luan Yenan. “Don’t change the subject!”
“I was thinking about us dancing together.”
“We did danced together later.”
“I was thinking about us still dancing together decades later.” Luan Yenan said, pulling Zuo Baixuan under the blanket with her.
