Turns Out Seducing the Movie Queen Can Break the Plot (GL) - Chapter 1
Pain.
A splitting headache tore through her skull.
After the intense wave of agony, Jiang Chi’s eyes snapped open, and she bolted upright from the floor with such abruptness that the bodyguard who had just entered intending to check on her stumbled back two steps in shock.
The bodyguard froze for a couple of seconds before cautiously approaching again when she didn’t react. “Miss, are you alright?”
Jiang Chi glanced around, relieved to find herself not in any of the fragmented scenes that had flashed through her mind moments ago.
The bodyguard, confused, pointed at the bleeding wound on her forehead. “You’re injured, Miss. Should we take you to the hospital or call the family doctor here?”
Ignoring the injury, Jiang Chi studied him, then the four or five men standing behind him. The chaotic thoughts in her mind suddenly connected with the current situation.
She turned to look at the bed and sure enough, a girl lay there.
Her long, straight black hair was slightly disheveled, framing a delicate, oval face flushed with fever. Her lipstick was smudged, and her white knee-length dress had ridden up to her thighs. She lay still, a picture of pitiable vulnerability.
A stark contrast to the haughty, domineering woman from Jiang Chi’s memories the one who had smugly wielded scissors to “paint” on her face.
This was the female lead of the original story.
Bai Yuetong.
Just moments ago, while helping Bai Yuetong onto the bed, Jiang Chi had stumbled and hit her head against the nightstand.
That impact had inexplicably unlocked a flood of memories. She realized, she had transmigrated into the role of the obsessive, scheming female antagonist in an old-school, melodramatic romance novel!
In the original story, Jiang Chi, the young mistress of the Jiang family, fell head over heels for the male lead, Su Jing, at first sight. She pursued him relentlessly, bending over backward to fulfill his every whim.
When Su Jing wanted to become a celebrity, she had him signed under the Jiangs’ entertainment company, showering him with the best resources without expecting anything in return. Everything revolved around Su Jing his happiness was her happiness.
Jiang Chi had believed Su Jing loved her too.
Only later did she discover his heart had always belonged to Bai Yuetong. Yet, Jiang Chi continued loving him, convinced that Su Jing’s success depended on her support. This delusion fueled her ruthlessness as she employed every cruel method to drive Bai Yuetong away.
In the end, Su Jing used the villainess Jiang Chi for wealth and power before callously discarding her. Falling into Bai Yuetong’s hands, Jiang Chi first had her face mutilated with scissors, then her innocence stripped away by six men.
The deranged antagonist ultimately met her demise struck by a car on the street, her bones shattered upon impact, dying instantly.
The visceral memory of that excruciating pain had jolted Jiang Chi awake from unconsciousness, a medical miracle in itself.
Heart still pounding, she eyed the men behind the bodyguard. Bai Yuetong’s revenge destroying her purity was clearly retaliation for Jiang Chi’s own vile plans today.
Those five men? They were the ones she had arranged to ruin Bai Yuetong.
Jiang Chi struggled to sit up from the floor. Seeing this, the bodyguard moved to help her, but she waved him off and steadied herself against the bed. “Send these men back where they came from, but pay them as agreed,” she said.
Wait, what was happening? Why couldn’t she hear her own voice?
She looked up at the bodyguard, who seemed equally confused, clearly not having heard her either.
She tried speaking again, but no sound came from her throat. Worse, her body moved against her will her arms crossed imperiously, her chin lifted in a haughty sneer as she cast a disdainful glance at the woman on the bed, embodying the quintessential villainess. Her gaze then swept over the men, her voice dripping with malice. “What are you all standing around like wooden posts for? Do I need to teach you how to handle a woman in bed?”
Help! What was this forced, exaggerated act she was putting on?!
These cringeworthy, try-hard lines were coming out of her mouth?!
What was going on? She didn’t want to move or speak like this!
Was she being forced to follow a script?
What happened next only confirmed her suspicions.
“Of course we know what to do, Miss. We were just waiting for your orders,” said a pudgy, bald man who stepped forward from behind the bodyguard, his face smeared with sycophantic glee.
Jiang Chi’s eyes raked over him from head to toe, her expression twisting into satisfaction against her will she had specifically requested men who were fat and ugly.
She nodded, signaling for him to begin.
The bald man rubbed his hands together like a fly and approached the bed, leering at the unconscious Bai Yuetong with obvious relish for his impending prey.
Jiang Chi stood to the side, arms crossed, her face a mask of amused anticipation while her mind raced in panic.
All she wanted was to pummel this disgusting man and throw him out!
But if the script played out as written, today’s events were inevitable.
What could she do? What could she do?!
Had she been reborn only to relive the same tragedy?
If things continued like this, wouldn’t she still meet the same gruesome end?
Where was the damn male lead? Why wasn’t he here to save the heroine in her hour of need?!
As the bald man tore away Bai Yuetong’s shawl, Jiang Chi strained to move, to intervene but her body remained frozen, her beautiful face betraying nothing but detached amusement.
Then, suddenly, BANG! BANG! BANG! urgent pounding shook the door.
The male lead! It had to be him! Relief surged through Jiang Chi, though her face only twitched in irritation as she gestured for the bodyguard to open the door.
Sure enough, Su Jing stormed in, kicking the man away from the bed before fixing Jiang Chi with a furious glare.
Seeing Su Jing’s barely contained rage, Jiang Chi nearly collapsed with relief, internally cheering: Thank heavens for sparing me! I’ll worship you forever!
Outwardly, however, her haughty demeanor vanished in an instant, replaced by a pitiful, trembling act as she clung to Su Jing’s arm, simpering, “Brother Su Jing, what brings you here?”
“Help, my throat is nearly smoking from forcing this cutesy voice,” Jiang Chi thought deeply, doubting whether that terrifying sound had really come from her. Who on earth decided that acting cute had to involve straining your voice like this?!
Su Jing’s expression darkened as he shook off her arm, saying coldly, “Jiang Chi, if I hadn’t come today, what exactly were you planning to let these men do to Yue Tong?”
His gaze swept across all the men in the room, carrying a shadowy ruthlessness.
Seeing him like this, Jiang Chi could no longer hide the panic on her face. She reached for his arm again, her tone pitiful: “Brother Su Jing, I didn’t really mean to do anything. I just… wanted to take some photos to make her leave you. She… she keeps clinging to you, I…”
“Brother Su Jing, are you angry? If you’re angry, that means you care about her, right!” She pretended to be upset and shook off Su Jing’s hand. “It’s all your fault…”
“No, I’m not angry.” Su Jing slowly unclenched his fist at his side, then lifted his hand to turn Jiang Chi around so they faced each other. His voice softened, “I’m not angry, A-Chi. But you promised me you wouldn’t bother Yue Tong anymore, didn’t you? Doing this aren’t you breaking your promise to me?”
“And doesn’t this also mean you don’t believe I love you? That you think I’m not trustworthy as a boyfriend, that I’m the kind of person who can’t stay loyal…”
Ugh…
If she hadn’t awakened today, Jiang Chi would’ve definitely fallen for this scumbag’s emotional manipulation! Right now, all she wanted was to slap this man twice across his face hard for spewing such hypocritical nonsense with that fake tender look.
But no matter how much she wanted to, no matter how disgusted she felt, her body and mouth were completely out of her control!
She could only follow the script!
“Brother Su Jing, I’m sorry, I didn’t doubt you!” Jiang Chi grabbed his arm in a panic, her face full of urgency. “I swear, I’ll never bother her again.”
That last sentence was absolutely her sincere thought at this moment! If the plot would just let her go, she truly wouldn’t mess with Bai Yue Tong again. But, this damn plot wasn’t under her control!
The female lead had the male lead to save her, but who was going to save Jiang Chi?!
She was on the verge of tears.
Or rather, would she even be allowed to cry freely from now on…? Ugh, this was too much.
Someone, please save her tall, short, fat, skinny, ugly, weird, anything would do! She’d worship them like an ancestor!
“A-Chi, I’ll believe you one more time. No more next time, or I’ll really be angry.” Su Jing held her hand, his expression cool but his tone gentle.
Jiang Chi nodded like a woodpecker: “Mhm, Brother Su Jing, I’ll listen to you in everything. I promise.”
Someone, please just poison her mute if nothing else…
Su Jing smiled and patted her head. “I know A-Chi is the most obedient. So, A-Chi, don’t you think Brother Su Jing should clean up the mess you made now?”
Jiang Chi instantly understood what he meant, but she still had to play along.
She glanced around the room. After Su Jing entered, the bodyguards had wisely dismissed all the men. Now, only the three of them remained her, Su Jing, and Bai Yue Tong.
Feigning delayed realization, she asked, “Brother Su Jing, do you want to take Bai Yue Tong home?”
Su Jing pinched her earlobe: “My darling is the smartest, but as your boyfriend, of course I’d see you home first, right?”
This bastard sending her home first so he could have all the time in the world with Bai Yuetong, wasn’t that the plan? And here he was pretending to be all affectionate.
Jiang Chi rolled her eyes so hard internally it could’ve counted as a workout. But no matter how much she cursed him in her mind, her outward demeanor remained unchanged.
She happily clung to Su Jing’s arm, swaying it playfully: “I knew Brother Su Jing loved me most!”
Seeing her agreement, Su Jing moved to the bedside to scoop Bai Yuetong up in a bridal carry. Jiang Chi stomped her foot in protest: “Brother Su Jing! You can’t carry her like that you’ve never even carried me that way!”
A flash of impatience crossed Su Jing’s brow, though his tone stayed gentle and coaxing: “A’Chi, I’m just cleaning up your mess, aren’t I?”
Jiang Chi fell silent for a moment before reluctantly conceding.
She wanted to facepalm just how love-blind had she been to believe this bastard’s “sweet nothings”?
Every word had been poison, yet she’d savored them like honey, swallowing slowly until it killed her.
They were at a five-star hotel owned by the Jiang Corporation, their room on the 16th floor. Jiang Chi followed silently behind Su Jing to the elevator, then through the lobby toward the parking lot, mentally tearing him to shreds with every step.
As Su Jing placed his burden in the backseat, Jiang Chi stood frozen by the hood, screaming internally: Dear heavens, I’m calling you grandpa here have mercy! I genuinely don’t want to be anywhere near this bastard!
Then headlights suddenly illuminated her, accompanied by the growing roar of an approaching engine. Jiang Chi desperately wanted to turn and look but couldn’t.
She couldn’t even manage that simple movement!
Just as the vehicle neared her, the headlights that had been fixed on her abruptly vanished the car accelerated past, and with it went that strange sensation, fleeting as a phantom.
An inexplicable panic seized her. Some instinct screamed that she couldn’t let that car or its occupant get away.
Yet her body remained beyond her control.
Just as she despairingly moved toward the passenger seat, the engine sound returned.
That car had circled back!
