Two-Faced Girlfriend - Chapter 13.1
Xu Yawei woke up feeling disoriented.
The bedroom was unfamiliar, and Si Man was not beside her.
She felt like she had been dreaming.
A sense of unease made her spring out of bed.
She shouted anxiously, “Si Man? Si Man! Si Man!”
No response came for a long time.
Though she clearly remembered what happened earlier, being in the villa confirmed it, Xu Yawei still wanted to find Si Man quickly and confront her.
As she walked, she observed the villa.
She had been to Si Man’s downtown home but never to this suburban villa.
Judging by the simple furnishings, Si Man probably didn’t come here often.
Descending to the second floor, Xu Yawei heard water flowing from the bathroom.
Her heart calmed, and she knocked on the door a few times, asking, “Si Man? Are you in there?”
Si Man’s voice, still slightly hoarse, replied, “I’m here. What’s wrong?”
Xu Yawei exhaled in relief.
“Nothing, just checking.”
“I’ll be out soon.”
Though her body was tired, Si Man wasn’t sleepy after moving from the living room to the bedroom.
Seeing Xu Yawei sleep soundly, she didn’t disturb her.
After drinking a cup of coffee, she wanted to take a proper shower.
Xu Yawei must have been scared waking up to an empty room.
Si Man heard the urgency in her voice.
Si Man abandoned the idea of lingering under the water, quickly lathered with body wash, and stepped out with a towel loosely wrapped around her.
Xu Yawei saw Si Man, fresh from the shower, her hair still dripping.
Si Man wiped her hair.
“Hungry?”
Xu Yawei shook her head.
“No.”
Soon after, Xu Yawei’s stomach growled loudly.
Si Man smiled.
“I haven’t been here in a while, so there’s nothing in the fridge. Let’s order takeout.”
Xu Yawei grabbed Si Man’s arm excitedly.
“That’s not healthy. Is there a supermarket nearby? Let’s go shopping. I’ll cook for you.”
Si Man tugged at the towel half-pulled off by Xu Yawei.
“There is one, but can your stomach hold out that long?”
“No problem.”
The trip to the supermarket wasn’t awkward, but it felt slightly strange.
They tacitly avoided mentioning the afternoon’s events.
While shopping, they naturally held hands and picked out each other’s favorite foods.
After buying groceries, Xu Yawei noticed a young couple flirting playfully.
She suddenly understood the strange feeling—it was the shy restraint of new love, the subtle ambiguity.
This wasn’t the first time Xu Yawei cooked for Si Man, but it was the most touching for Si Man.
Watching Xu Yawei bustle in the kitchen while she helped wash vegetables and pass bowls, Si Man felt a deep, familiar happiness.
She had fantasized about this life for so long and wanted to live like this every day.
Si Man, head lowered, aimlessly stirred the seasoning and said casually, “Stay tonight.”
Xu Yawei looked up.
“Why?”
“It’s far from downtown, it’s hard to get a cab. Even if you do, it’ll be dark by the time you get back. It’s not safe.”
Xu Yawei hummed lightly.
“You’re that kind? You’re not expecting me to make you a midnight snack, are you?”
Si Man looked up, her brows slightly furrowed with urgency.
“No way. I… I want you to stay.”
Xu Yawei put down the spatula, rushed over, wrapped her arms around Si Man’s neck, and kissed her lips lightly.
“That’s more like it. Keeping your girlfriend home to sleep is perfectly normal.”
Si Man didn’t argue and smiled genuinely. Being in love felt so good.
That night, they lay in the same bed as usual but felt more nervous than before.
Their relationship was different now—not the unequal dynamic of patron and lover, but a proper girlfriend-girlfriend bond.
The change brought their hearts closer but distanced their bodies.
It was no longer just a physical arrangement.
Even an accidental brush of arms felt shy and tense.
After a long silence, Xu Yawei turned around to face Si Man.
“Are you asleep?”
“No. What’s up?”
Xu Yawei’s fingers danced on Si Man’s back.
“Were you satisfied this afternoon?”
Si Man let out a barely audible “mm.”
Xu Yawei wrapped her arms around Si Man’s slim waist.
Her lower body pressed against Si Man’s hips, and whispered breathily in her ear, “So, can you satisfy me now? I wanted you so bad this afternoon…”
Si Man turned around, her heart stirring as she looked at Xu Yawei’s captivating eyes, but her body didn’t know how to start.
In the darkness, she unreservedly released her love for Xu Yawei.
Unlike before, when she feared Xu Yawei knowing her feelings and not cherishing her, now she only feared Xu Yawei thinking she didn’t love her enough.
She wanted Xu Yawei to see the deep love in her eyes.
