Wait, I Got in the Wrong Car (GL) - Chapter 32
The slender pale ankle indeed carried a string of golden beads. Each bead was slightly larger than the bl00d tridacna on Lou Anran’s wrist. The color was opaque yet pure, as if each bead had been cast from solid gold.
Lou Anran visually estimated the weight of this string. No matter how she looked at it, she thought it seemed particularly heavy to wear.
Yet Mo Ying’s steps were light. When she walked across the carpet, she moved like a silent cat. When she hopped, she resembled a playful little sprite. The golden beads should have produced a crisp sound as they collided, but after watching in a near trance for a long while, Lou Anran noticed they never shifted up or down. They fit perfectly against the little one’s delicate ankle, glowing as brightly as Mo Ying’s golden curls. Against her fair skin, the string stood out even more brilliantly, as if it belonged there by destiny.
“Lou Xiaohei, what are you looking at?”
“The golden beads on your ankle suit you well. I have never seen this kind on the market before. Is it a top-grade yellow chalcedony from under the sea?”
The Lou family had built their fortune from jewelry. As a child, she had learned a great deal about gems from her mother. When her mother passed away, her grandfather sent her abroad, and from then on she rarely had the chance to study them. Yet under the influence of her little mermaid, Lou Anran had rekindled her love for jewels.
To know both oneself and one’s partner was always the best strategy.
Mo Ying instinctively hid her ankle with the beads. With a sudden pounce, she nearly knocked Lou Anran breathless. Lou Anran carefully protected the little one’s unchanged belly and stroked it. “Baby, your enthusiasm surprises me. If next time you let me take the initiative, I think baby fish will be even happier.”
Mo Ying first glanced around. The curtains in the living room were all drawn, leaving the room dim. “Lou Xiaohei, let’s continue marking.”
Lou Anran knew she was changing the subject, but opened her arms anyway. To keep the lively little fish from accidentally rolling off the sofa, she wrapped her legs around her, brushing her calf against the beads that Yu Xuan had said represented ‘true heart.’
She wanted to see what was so special about them.
Mo Ying dodged several times. Finally annoyed, she glared with round eyes, pressing her small hands on the sofa to lean back and create some distance. “Lou Xiaohei, do not touch. If you do, I will be angry.”
So the beads could not be touched casually. That indeed made them more mysterious.
Lou Anran recalled the first time they had played blindfolded underwater. Due to the limited space, she had touched Mo Ying several times, but never once managed to touch the beads. With her sight blocked, if not for Yu Xuan’s reminder, she might have thought they were only decorative jewelry.
She tried again and clearly felt the little one dodge with a smile on her face. “Of course I know. Tell me, where do you plan to place your exclusive mark on me?”
At the mention of marking, Mo Ying’s eyes lit with excitement. She continued the action that Yu Xuan had accidentally interrupted that day, resting her little fish head on Lou Anran and earnestly leaving her mark.
Lou Anran had deliberately chosen loose cotton loungewear that felt comfortable at night. Ironically, it made things easier for Mo Ying. The girl’s cool skin brushed hers, and the chill against her warmth felt like a cooling spell in this season. “Baby, can you tell me what kind of mark you plan to make—ah.”
Mo Ying’s sharp little teeth nipped her at the heart. After hearing Lou Anran’s hiss, she even tried to soothe her. She fully embodied the philosophy of hitting with one hand and comforting with the other. “It does not hurt, it does not.”
Her soft baby voice eased Lou Anran’s breath. The sight of Mo Ying’s expression softened her even more. The heat of her breath against her chest made her lose control. The tingling spread outward from her heart until it filled her whole body. The blend of ice and fire was a true test of her willpower.
On one side was the adorable and irresistible little mermaid. On the other side was a prohibition. If she had known more about the precautions a pregnant mermaid should observe, she might have taken her long ago. Yet the unknown demanded respect.
The little one had repeatedly refused to mate, which made it clear that for now it was truly impossible.
“Ah—” Lou Anran gasped again. She held Mo Ying’s body and hooked her legs around. “Baby, you know some places cannot be bitten carelessly, do you not?”
Mo Ying, being touched and teased, wriggled out from her clothes. “Lou Xiaohei, I did not bite carelessly. Also, stop rubbing my tail.”
Lou Anran noticed her flushed cheeks. The angelic face carried a trace of innocent shyness. Those clean eyes tempted her to tease further. “I will stop rubbing if you give me a kiss to heal my wounded heart.”
Mo Ying’s eyes widened. “I will not hurt you.”
Lou Anran gave her no chance to refuse. With deft legs she rubbed here and there. Mo Ying trembled, tried every way to avoid, but Lou Anran countered each move. She finally cried out, “Lou Xiaohei, you are cheating.”
Lou Anran tapped her lips. “As a girlfriend, you should meet your little girlfriend’s daily needs. A kiss is the most basic need.”
Mo Ying’s green eyes spun around. Then she leaned down and obediently pressed her lips to her little girlfriend’s inviting red lips.
Unfortunately, just as she pulled away, Lou Anran held her back and deepened the kiss.
The quiet room was filled with the sound of wet lips. Neither of them gave in during their struggle of tongues, and Lou Anran almost lost control.
Knock, knock.
“Xiao Wu, open the door.”
“…”
The two stared at each other. Their clothes were already disheveled and the inner buttons had come undone. They had almost ended up the same as last time, stripped bare.
“Your Fourth Sister.”
“Mm…”
Mo Ying regretfully nestled into Lou Anran’s arms. She looked at her unfinished work and gave up, pressing her face against Lou Xiaohei’s chest to listen to her steady heartbeat.
Lou Anran finally understood the torment she had brought upon herself. The ache of being aroused yet unsatisfied was unbearable, especially when she dared not go any further. In the end, she was the one who suffered most.
Mo Ying suddenly whispered. “Lou Xiaohei, your heartbeat suddenly sped up. Are you sick?”
Lou Anran, “…”
The knocking outside grew louder, like a sudden downpour. Mo Ying scrambled up. “Fourth Sister is going to break the door.”
Even her panicked little figure looked cute. Lou Anran straightened herself and slipped into the bathroom before Yu Xuan entered.
She glanced in the mirror. Her lips were bright red, like flowers drenched by rain all night, tempting to taste. She pulled at her shirt and looked at the spot where the little one had bitten and licked. “Strange, there is nothing there.”
The sharp sting of her teeth had been real. The wetness each time she pressed had been real. Yet there was no mark.
When Yu Xuan entered, she immediately sensed Lou Anran’s presence. No matter how carefully she guarded, she had failed to prevent Lou Anran’s return. After their talk yesterday, she had thought it settled. Yet that shameless woman had come back secretly.
Yu Xuan spoke earnestly. “Xiao Wu, Lou Anran may be your girlfriend, but you are still a pregnant mermaid. You must keep some distance. At the very least, you cannot spend the night alone in the same room.”
Mo Ying was confused. Had they not always lived together?
Yu Xuan ignored her puzzlement. “For your health and baby fish’s growth, you will stay with Lou Annie for now. I have arranged it. Tonight she will come.”
Mo Ying, “!!!”
The thought of entangling with Lou Annie made her whole body tense. She quickly moved farther from Yu Xuan to avoid her anger. Even if it reached her, she could run into the bedroom. “Fourth Sister, I think I made a mistake… Lou Annie is not—”
Lou Anran pushed open the door, interrupting the little one’s stammer. “Fourth Sister Yu, are you not afraid of turning Mo Ying into scandal fodder? If the media see Lou Annie entering and leaving her room, you know how they will speak.”
Yu Xuan faltered, then sneered. “And how are you any different from Lou Annie? You may come and go but she may not?”
Lou Anran was confident. “Of course not. I am here as an investor of Sing for the Song 2. She? What right does she have?”
Yu Xuan, “…”
Lou Annie had just been removed from the Lou family board. With nowhere to go, she had begged Yu Xuan to open a door for her here. Without her title as Lou’s second young lady, she was nothing but a failed woman desperate to debut and prove herself.
“Lou Xiaohei, are you leaving?”
“Be good. I will return tonight to accompany you. Have fun.” Lou Anran was delighted by the little one’s reluctance to let go of her clothes. She pointed at her lips. “Your girlfriend demands a farewell kiss. Only then can she go to work in peace.”
“Lou Anran, you—”
“Fourth Sister Yu, if you envy us lovers, you can find one too. If you like, I can introduce someone to you.” Lou Anran leaned close for a kiss. With her crimson lips, she was even more alluring.
Mo Ying cheekily stuck out her tongue at Yu Xuan, who was trembling with anger. She had nearly been beaten, but Lou Xiaohei stood up for her.
“Fine, just one kiss.” Helpless to resist her little girlfriend’s demand, Mo Ying agreed.
“Come.”
She rose on her tiptoes and kissed Lou Anran. To her surprise, Lou Anran did not pull her into a deep entanglement. She widened her eyes in disbelief.
Lou Anran bent and kissed her forehead gently. “Be good. Stay away from Lou Annie. Wait for me.”
Mo Ying nodded. Just as Lou Anran opened the door, she ran barefoot after her. “Lou Xiaohei.”
Under Yu Xuan’s exasperated gaze, she kissed Lou Anran’s chest and whispered in her ear. “Next time, let’s find a place with no one around and continue.”
