Wait, I Got in the Wrong Car (GL) - Chapter 4
Mo Ying’s head throbbed with splitting pain. Her body felt as if it had been rolled over a dozen times by the naughty little whale shark at home. She hummed with her eyes closed and wanted to roll over. Yet she felt her fish tail entangled by something. She tugged for a long time but could not free it. The distress made her want to cry.
She waited for quite a while, but no one came to comfort her.
A struggle raged deep in her heart. She quietly opened one eye a sliver. The first thing she saw was an arm draped across her waist. It bore many pinch marks in shades of blue and purple. The most prominent was the bite mark on the wrist, neat and even with sharp points on both sides. Clearly, it was her handiwork.
“If you mess around again, I’ll bite you.”
Then she got bitten first.
A certain embarrassing fragment from last night flashed by. Mo Ying’s green eyes widened in surprise. She instinctively touched the clouds that had been rubbed and kneaded. Naturally, it brought a slight stinging sensation.
She had been played to ruin by this human!!!
Mo Ying puffed up in anger and tried to sit up. As soon as she straightened, her waist went weak. She flopped back down. Her golden fish tail was wrapped in the quilt and clamped. The tail tip curled upward to signal its presence.
As for Lou Anran sleeping soundly beside her, she did not wake from the big commotion made by her bed companion. She only subconsciously reached out, groped around, and finally obtained a loving pillow.
Mo Ying searched barefoot on the carpet for a long time. Finally, she found her little top and bottoms hanging on the bathroom door handle. They were soaking wet from being immersed in water all along. She looked at them with disdain. Without finding better clothes, she had to scrunch her little face and put them back on.
“Little one, don’t you think it would be more comfortable to take off all the annoying things? Sigh, why does this clothing of yours still prick?”
“Of course, only I can take off this clothing.”
“Together?”
Yesterday, in a muddled state under Lou Anran’s low, bewitching voice, she had actually clung to this human and refused to let go. She even guided her hand in hand to undress together.
Mo Ying shook her little head and stopped thinking about yesterday’s chaos. She had not figured out why she would seek a human for mating. Humans did not even have tails.
She lifted her long hair and turned sideways. She looked and looked in the mirror. A small golden scale lay steadily on her neck. It shimmered with a gilded glow like a mark. On it seemed to be two names that flickered in and out.
Was it her name?
To see the words engraved on the scale clearly, she simply sat on the vanity table. She pressed close to the mirror for a near view of those two blurry names.
“How strange. Why does my fish scale have names growing on it?”
“Lou, An, Ni.”
“Lou, An, Ran.”
Mo Ying stared puzzled at the two names reflected in the mirror. When she finished reciting “Lou Anran,” her head suddenly spun with dizziness. A small book appeared before her eyes. It resembled the storybooks her fourth sister brought back in idle times. The book opened automatically in front of her. This book, bright as stars, actually had a completely mismatched melodramatic title—”The Actress’s Secret Lover.”
After she was almost forcibly made to digest most of the book’s content, Mo Ying stared at herself in the mirror like a wooden chicken. After a night of nourishment, her pure green eyes shone brilliantly as if blessed. They held a bit more feminine allure than before.
She felt she had become even more beautiful!!!
But who was she? Where was she? What was she doing???
“The Actress’s Secret” was mainly a yuri novel. It told of the two female protagonists’ melodramatic and eye-searing love-hate abusive romance. The whole story intertwined Lou Annie’s career line and love line. As for the other female lead, unluckily, she was also named Mo Ying.
The name similarity alone made Mo Ying extremely annoyed. Some human dared to use her name!!! Even more infuriating was that the Mo Ying in the author’s pen was a brainless woman. Her fate was tragic enough, but she also brought shame upon herself.
In “The Actress’s Secret,” after Mo Ying and Lou Annie had a one-night stand, Lou Annie made her an underground lover, using the excuse that relationships could not be public in the entertainment industry. Mo Ying actually agreed.
Later, Mo Ying inexplicably got involved in a plagiarism scandal. Lou Annie knelt with snot and tears, begging her to spare her young sister. She appealed to emotion and reason… After a period of heartbreak, Mo Ying forgave the matter that had shattered her heart, lowering her stance after being coaxed softly a few times by the other. Without explanation, she allowed online people to label her a plagiarist like a dog. Afterward, she was even willing to continue as the secret lover, using her own resources to help Lou Annie achieve what she wanted step by step… In the end, she lost her loved ones and her personal freedom.
Dating and losing everything?
Every time Mo Ying saw the ‘Mo Ying’ bearing her name doing things she disliked, she hated iron for not becoming steel. Her little face puffed up like a pufferfish. She deeply felt offended. In rage, she wanted to find that melodramatic book and tear it up. But the book, halfway through, disappeared like a dragon vanishing after showing its head, just as it had suddenly appeared. No matter how she searched, she could not find it. She pounded the vanity table in puffed anger. She did not know if the hotel had cut corners. With a crack, the vanity table split open a seam right in the middle.
When Mo Ying emerged from the bathroom again, she was a wilted, listless salted fish. She walked barefoot to Lou Anran and stared at the other’s soft features for a long time, especially the full, sensual lips. Even without the berry flavor, they seemed quite tasty.
Lou Anran’s neck still had that white gauze tied around it. She had torn it from her skirt. The light-blocking effect was top-notch. From start to finish last night, she had not given this human a chance to discover her secret.
“Lou, An, Ran.”
“Lou, An, Ni.”
If the person she met happened to have the same name as in the book, that would be one thing. But why was the ‘Mo Ying’ in the book also a little streamer who liked singing? Similarly, going out once and encountering a lecherous wolf who tricked her into debuting? Even drugged and driving all night with Lou Annie…
Although the book’s content deviated a tiny bit from what she had just experienced, it still made Mo Ying feel very unhappy.
Moreover, the book also recorded many things about Lou Anran.
In “The Actress’s Secret,” Lou Anran was a big, big, big villain. Her personality was paranoid and violent, cold and ruthless. The Lou family was basically destroyed by this madwoman. She not only ruined the Lou family but also tried to destroy Lou Annie… Mo Ying, as the little lover standing by Lou Annie’s side, naturally did not escape this madwoman’s perverted hands.
Mo Ying, who had just had a spring breeze once with the person, “…”
Lou Anran frowned slightly, turned over, and exposed the horrific marks on her back. There were scratches and bite marks. Mo Ying felt very guilty seeing them. For her as a fish, the events in “The Actress’s Secret” were too complicated. She had no interest in verifying if the stories inside were true or false. Lou Annie had nothing to do with her. As for Lou Anran…
If her fourth sister and the others ever found out she had mated with a human… Mo Ying told herself over and over that someone as ‘fierce’ as Lou Anran was far from harmless. It would be safest to stay away from her completely in the future.
Not seeing equals not happening.
With her mind made up, Mo Ying gave her little nest one last reluctant look before leaving. As for those rose petals, they looked as if ravaged by a flower thief. They lay wilted on the cold, wet floor, unattended.
…
When Lou Anran woke from her sleep, the neon lights outside had been on for a long time. From this top-floor luxury suite where she was, looking down revealed myriad household lights. Looking up showed a brilliant starry sky. It was the perfect room to embrace a beauty and savor red wine slowly.
The moment she opened her eyes, she wanted to invite the little one to taste her long-cherished red wine. Under yesterday’s circumstances, savoring red wine would have been a waste.
She fantasized about the little one with dazed eyes, drunk and falling into her arms…
Unfortunately, the little one had too many quirks.
Blindfolding was very stimulating, but it would be even better if the roles were switched.
Lou Anran stretched lazily with regret. She was just about to find the little one who had given her a night of surprising experiences, but she did not see the little one. Instead, she bumped into Chu Shu huddled in the corner, silently acting as a background board without a sound.
The smile on her lips vanished instantly. “Why are you here!”
“Boss, don’t be angry, don’t be angry. Look at this first.” Chu Shu hurriedly handed over the pad. She had already memorized the gossip entertainment from the past two days and summarized them into a few points. “Take a look, boss, and you’ll know why I’m here.”

Attached above was the photo from that day when Lou Anran opened the door and faced Zhao Luna. As for the others, they were all cropped out. The PS traces were too obvious.
Lou Anran sneered. “Since the photo leaked from here, if it’s not my stepmom, it’s Lou Annie. Go check who tipped off my stepmom yesterday. It’s time to clean out some people who eat inside and crawl outside.”

Lou Anran scanned them roughly. She was already used to such nonsense news entertainment. They either dug up her dirt or were on the way to fabricating it. There was no novelty at all. After looking for a while, she tossed the pad aside carelessly. She lifted the quilt without concern and walked naked to the bathroom. “I think this matter is not a reason for you to barge into my room.”
Chu Shu quickly turned her head away. She had no sexual interest in women, especially one who squeezed her at work. “Boss, one good news, one bad news. Which do you want to hear?”
Lou Anran pulled off the ‘blindfold’ hanging around her neck. She examined it for a moment and realized the fabric resembled the little one’s close-fitting skirt. Then she glanced unexpectedly at the string of beads that had appeared on her left wrist. It wrapped three times. Bl00d-red, each bead was unusually plump like little red beans, round and lustrous. Under the light, no flaws were visible… Worn on the wrist, it felt icy cool and made her skin look especially fair and tender. “Bad news.”
Chu Shu heard the pattering water sounds inside. She did not ignore the intense and wild marks left on her boss’s body. Suppressing the gossip fire just ignited in her heart, she cleared her throat and said loudly, “Editor Song thinks you lack sincerity. I called three times but couldn’t stop her from making your gossip fly all over the sky.”
“Also, your dad, President Lou, he asked me to tell you to go home and discuss the marriage between you two. You have to give the Zhao family an explanation.”
Chu Shu stuck out her tongue and made a face.
President Lou’s original words were actually, “Tell that unfilial daughter to roll back here. Doing such immoral things, how does she have the face to stay outside? If she doesn’t marry Luna, don’t come back to the Lou family ever. I’ll pretend I don’t have this daughter.”
Lou Anran showed no extra expression. She quickly rinsed off in the shower. When she came out, her hair was still dripping. She paid it no mind and only fiddled with the bead string in her hand. One by one, the beads collided with crisp sounds that were particularly pleasing to the ear. Just listening lifted one’s mood. “Tell me the good news.”
Chu Shu subconsciously glanced at her watch. “Boss, from the time I entered the room until now, you’ve slept over twenty-four hours.”
Lou Anran was clearly surprised. “Two days? You say I slept for two days???”
As her special assistant, Chu Shu knew Lou Anran’s physical condition well. Long-term insomnia, barely sleeping daily, and even when she did, it was for one or two hours under medication.
So when Lou Anran did not appear for a long time, she almost called the emergency services. Fortunately, she asked the psychologist first. In the psychologist’s words, “Appropriate sexual activity can ease an irritable mood.”
Anyway, it was not a bad thing.
Lou Anran looked around. “When you came in, did you see that little one?”
Chu Shu’s eyes darted around. She was somewhat unsure of Lou Anran’s meaning when she asked this. Logically, in yesterday’s situation, the little beauty should know her boss’s identity. If she wanted to latch onto a rich person, staying to negotiate with them would be proper.
Leaving without a word, what did that mean?
Lou Anran looked back and forth and confirmed the little one was not in the room. So she raised her wrist with the red bead string. “Does it look good?”
Chu Shu had noticed it earlier but feared hitting her boss’s sore spot. Now she looked closely and even wanted to touch it. But her stingy boss avoided her. She could only circle and look again and again. She even excitedly pulled out her phone, opened the album, and compared one by one. The more she looked, the more shocked she was. Finally, she took a photo of her boss’s fair wrist with her phone and sent a message to ask someone…
Seeing the instant reply, Chu Shu’s eyes widened. Her hand holding the phone trembled slightly. “Boss, this seems like top-grade bl00d tridacna.”
Top-grade bl00d tridacna was hard to find on the market, let alone a full string of one hundred and eight beads.
What a grand gesture!!!
Chu Shu envied it. “Boss, selling?”
Lou Anran ignored her and pondered. “The little one gave this before leaving. What do you think she means by specially giving me this?”
Chu Shu guessed that the little beauty who looked like a foreigner might have an extraordinary identity. But gifting something to a lover after a one-night stand was not like an alternative payment for services? Like in TV shows where a scumbag signs a check as a breakup fee, paired with, “Sorry, our relationship can only go this far.”
Chu Shu dared not say it. She feared she would have to pack up and leave the next day if she did. She could only mutter in her heart, “Boss, it seems like you’ve been rejected!!!:”
