What If I Ended Up Marrying My Enemy? - Chapter 41
Chapter 41: Distracted
In the end, Yu Zhixue couldn’t make Yu Wenxuan hand-whisk the shrimp paste in the kitchen.
Since most of the ingredients were pre-prepared, their meal was cooked quickly. Before long, Yu Wenxuan brought the food out.
Yu Zhixue picked up a few slices of lamb and put them into the pot. The thin slices of meat cooked quickly and were then scooped out and dipped in the sauce.
Just as he was about to put it into his mouth, Yu Wenxuan’s chopsticks pressed down on his hand. “It’s very hot now, wait two seconds.”
Yu Zhixue silently started timing in his head. After several “two seconds,” Yu Wenxuan finally released his chopsticks.
There were only the two of them in the room. Eating hot pot was a bit warm, so they opened a window for ventilation. The sound of the TV drama echoed behind them.
The meal ended a bit late. Afterwards, Yu Zhixue, feeling very full, lay in Yu Wenxuan’s arms, watching the TV show in front of him.
He was watching intently, so Yu Wenxuan reached out to gently rub his slightly uncomfortable stomach. After catching up on the two newly updated episodes, Yu Zhixue looked down and realized.
That clearly-jointed hand had been rubbing him for an unknown amount of time, its movements seeming a bit slow. In contrast, his stomach felt much more comfortable.
“Feeling better?”
“Are your hands sore?”
Their voices sounded simultaneously. Yu Wenxuan was startled, then suddenly grabbed Yu Zhixue’s nape and kissed him, a light kiss, like morning dew fleetingly passing by.
“It’s okay, just a little sore,” Yu Wenxuan replied.
Yu Zhixue changed his posture, facing him directly, and looked at him for a long time. Just when Yu Wenxuan thought he was about to kiss him back, he hugged him and said, “I’m done watching, let’s go inside.”
Yu Wenxuan, compliant, carried him in. He told the smart AI to turn off the TV, and the outside world instantly grew dim.
Upon entering the bedroom, Yu Wenxuan set him down and closed the bedroom door.
Yu Zhixue originally thought that once his stomach felt better, a shower would allow him to sleep soundly. But unexpectedly, after the stomach discomfort passed, another sensation surged up.
Perhaps it was because he had eaten too much lamb hot pot today, or perhaps…
…because of Yu Wenxuan’s kiss just now.
Even though Yu Wenxuan had seen him in many messy and dishevelled moments, he still felt a bit shy. His awkwardness was noticed by Yu Wenxuan.
He thought Yu Zhixue was still feeling a bit unwell. After habitually locking the door, he walked over and said, “Do you want me to help you…”
“No need!” Yu Zhixue replied suddenly, as if a keyword had been triggered.
Yu Wenxuan had originally intended to say, “Do you want me to rub your stomach again?” But seeing Yu Zhixue’s reaction, he could only stop his hand.
Now, that word “help” didn’t sound right to Yu Zhixue at all. He shivered, a little nervously stood up, and mumbled, “I, I’m going to take a shower first.”
Seeing the other person’s evasive reaction, Yu Wenxuan raised an eyebrow.
A very familiar reaction. Yu Wenxuan remembered the last time Yu Zhixue looked like this was…
Recalling past events, Yu Wenxuan looked at Yu Zhixue, who had hastily grabbed his clothes and rushed into the bathroom, and finally understood why he was acting this way.
So that’s it. He smiled.
Yu Zhixue thought that a shower would calm him down, but it didn’t at all. Water trickled down the hollow of his back, but a flush of crimson slowly climbed up.
His ears were even tinged with color. Yu Zhixue stood in a mist of water, looking quite flustered.
He wasn’t very good at these kinds of things. For a long period in his youth, due to his personality and experiences, he had been somewhat ascetic. After they got together, relieving such matters had always fallen to Yu Wenxuan.
Unable to do anything else, he stood there, forcing himself to calm down for a while. When he felt a little better, he picked up the clothes he had brought in.
Steaming hot, Yu Zhixue realized halfway through putting them on that this shirt seemed unusually large. The top alone completely covered his upper thighs.
Was his pajama shirt really this big?
The ventilation was on at maximum power, and only then did Yu Zhixue clearly see that the clothes in his hand weren’t his. He had rushed in too quickly earlier, just grabbing a glimpse of white.
These clothes were a very light, thin white T-shirt with a school emblem Yu Zhixue hadn’t seen before. The cut was nice, but it was too big.
He hadn’t grabbed the wrong pants, but when he put them on, they looked odd with the shirt.
Yu Zhixue disliked ugly things, so he couldn’t tolerate this kind of mismatched outfit.
After some struggle, he only wore the white T-shirt. Anyway, the shirt was very long, so there was no issue of it not covering enough.
He walked out barefoot, a part of the carpet in front of him damp with water droplets that had dripped from his legs.
Yu Zhixue was currently focused only on holding his wet hair behind him to keep it from dampening his clothes, so he didn’t notice Yu Wenxuan’s gaze.
By the time he vaguely sensed it, Yu Wenxuan had already naturally withdrawn his dark gaze before Yu Zhixue looked at him.
Holding the hairdryer, Yu Wenxuan rubbed his head, carefully drying every damp strand of his hair.
Yu Zhixue was relaxing under the massage when Yu Wenxuan turned off the hairdryer.
His hair was dry. Yu Wenxuan didn’t tie his hair up this time but instead found a small claw clip in the jewelry box and clipped the unruly hair away from his eyes.
After tidying his hair, Yu Wenxuan suddenly spoke, “You’re wearing my high school uniform.”
Yu Zhixue had actually guessed it, as the only clothes in the closet were his and Yu Wenxuan’s, and he hadn’t seen the school emblem on this shirt before; it wasn’t from a school in Beijing.
But having it pointed out like that still felt a bit strange.
Yu Zhixue looked at the hem that covered his legs and the very loose sleeves, and quietly asked, “Were you that tall in high school?”
“About 180?” It was too long ago, Yu Wenxuan himself couldn’t quite remember, he just looked at Yu Zhixue’s skin, glowing white, exposed from the sleeves.
Being tall himself might be one reason, but Yu Wenxuan felt there was another: Yu Zhixue was truly very thin.
If he had raised him from childhood…
Yu Wenxuan, realizing what he was thinking, chuckled a little.
Yu Zhixue thought he was laughing at the question about his height, and was about to defend himself, when Yu Wenxuan pulled him into his arms.
What fell first, before words, was Yu Wenxuan’s kiss.
He kissed the soft flesh behind Yu Zhixue’s earlobe, knowingly asking, “Why is it red here?”
Yu Zhixue hadn’t expected the flush from the bathroom to still be there. And now, more important than that, the heat he had painstakingly suppressed seemed to be rising again.
“Wait… I need to go to the bathroom.” Yu Zhixue reached out to push Yu Wenxuan’s face away, got out of bed, and was about to run to the bathroom.
But the next moment, his upper thigh was grabbed, and a little of the fleshy part of his thigh slipped out from between Yu Wenxuan’s fingertips.
Yu Zhixue was pulled back again, his back against the soft mattress, and heard the person above him say, “Can you? I’ll help you, baby.”
He was discovered.
…
Yu Zhixue lay on the bed, his recently dried long hair spread out behind him, the deep black hair making his skin appear even whiter. He grabbed Yu Wenxuan’s shoulders and kissed him.
Yu Wenxuan knelt on the bed, one hand stroking his face, the other moving downwards.
The sounds of their kissing were soon drowned out by a cry from Yu Zhixue. His breathing became rapid gasps, and his waist trembled.
Yu Zhixue, under successive thrusts, finally bit down on Yu Wenxuan’s shoulder.
Yu Wenxuan didn’t even blink, he pressed Yu Zhixue’s head back, then helped brush his hair aside again.
In the sound of water, Yu Zhixue uncontrollably thought that he should have made Yu Wenxuan rub his stomach for another two hours back then.
And he said his hands were sore, but now he was clearly very…
Soon, Yu Zhixue’s mind was completely blank. His consciousness seemed to be pulled by Yu Wenxuan and submerged in water, leaving only instinct.
He no longer had the strength to bite Yu Wenxuan’s shoulder. His slender body fell back onto the bed again, his hair rising and falling with the movement.
His eyes were still unfocused. He vaguely reached out as if to push away, but Yu Wenxuan caught his hand and placed it over his heart.
His palm met something hard: the jade pendant. It was still resting on Yu Wenxuan’s chest, radiating body heat and a heartbeat.
“Yu… Wenxuan,” Yu Zhixue said with difficulty, even speaking his name one syllable at a time, struggling.
“Mm.” Yu Wenxuan paused his movements, looking at his school uniform on Yu Zhixue’s body, and wickedly bent a finger to press a certain spot.
That one touch was too stimulating.
“Stop, stop…” Yu Zhixue’s voice grew louder, pulling out the necklace Yu Wenxuan had originally hidden under his clothes. The speck of green swayed ceaselessly before his eyes.
His pupils seemed to be tinged with the light of that jade, and in the seductive chaos, he spoke, “Yu Wenxuan, Gege…”
Yu Wenxuan only responded, but did not make him feel better as he wished.
Yu Zhixue finally couldn’t bear it, grasping the necklace that swayed before his eyes, wanting to pull Yu Wenxuan closer.
He actually had no strength left, but Yu Wenxuan looked down at his pale fingertips gripping that deep green, and finally, as if tamed, leaned in.
Yu Zhixue, uncharacteristically, called out with a sob.
“Husband.”
Yu Wenxuan almost tenderly stroked his lips, which were flushed from the stimulation, lingering intimately.
Hearing that term that Yu Zhixue only used when begging like this, Yu Wenxuan, as he wished, brought him to an end.
Afterwards, Yu Zhixue’s breathing hadn’t yet returned to normal, carrying a hint of moisture and alluring hoarseness, right beside Yu Wenxuan’s ear.
Yu Zhixue lay on his side on the bed, his legs together. After a long while, his rationality finally returned, and his original discomfort subsided.
Seeing him feel a little better, Yu Wenxuan looked at the somewhat messy bed, picked him up, and prepared to take Yu Zhixue to the guest room for another shower.
The master bedroom would just have to be tidied up tomorrow.
Yu Zhixue, muffled in his arms, quietly asked him, “…Are we going now?”
“What do you mean?” Yu Wenxuan asked.
“Don’t you want to…?” Yu Zhixue suddenly couldn’t say the word, so he just ambiguously skipped it.
They had eaten dinner together. Although Yu Wenxuan didn’t have his low tolerance, he should still feel a little uncomfortable, right?
And come to think of it, since Yu Wenxuan lost his memory until now that he’s recovered for a while, they hadn’t tried again.
Yu Wenxuan didn’t speak, but calmly opened his phone, found Ji Hua’s contact in his address book, and handed the phone to Yu Zhixue.
Yu Zhixue took it, puzzled, and didn’t move.
Yu Wenxuan: “Call Ji Hua now and tell him to cancel all your work for tomorrow, and I’ll put you down.”
Looking at the alluring crimson that he had rubbed onto Yu Zhixue’s lips, he smiled dangerously and added, “After all, you probably won’t be able to get up tomorrow.”
Yu Zhixue suddenly remembered his first time with Yu Wenxuan, when he really couldn’t get up at all. He returned the phone to the other person, buried his head back into his chest, and didn’t bring up the matter again.
“I need to take a shower, I feel so uncomfortable,” Yu Zhixue tugged at the clothes on Yu Wenxuan’s front.
Yu Wenxuan carried him out: “Immediately.”
