What to Do if You Mess With an Omega? - Chapter 38.1
“I will leave a robot here to take care of you. If you still feel unwell, just press this button.” Wen Yuan Shuang heard the noise outside growing louder, and her heart raced.
Many distinguished guests had come today. She hoped nothing would go wrong.
“Sister Wen, cannot you stay with me a little longer?”
“Sorry, there are still quite a few guests downstairs waiting—” for me. Wen Yuan Shuang had not even finished her sentence when a deafening rumble sounded, and the ground beneath her feet shook.
What was going on!!!
It could not be that stinky boy playing with something he should not have again, could it?
Wen Yuan Shuang no longer minded the other’s retention and rushed out in a panic. She looked down and saw that her carefully arranged banquet had turned into a mess. A group of Alphas had collectively lost control, while the rare Betas who remained clear-headed struggled to maintain order. Then she caught a whiff of a thick floral scent.
An Omega had actually gone into heat at the banquet!!!
Wen Yuan Shuang’s vision darkened, and she hurriedly video called Hua Ge Lan for help.
Most Betas lacked the combat prowess of Alphas and simply could not hold them back. Sigh, wait— that Alpha Xu Yuqing had brought was still clear-headed.
One had to know that when an Omega went into heat, eight or nine out of ten Alphas would be affected. As for those who retained their reason, either they were naturally indifferent or they ranked high among Alphas.
This Alpha had been getting all hot and heavy with Xu Yuqing in the hover car earlier…
Ning Hanzhu felt numb from all the fighting. One came, and she kicked one away; two came, and she kicked a pair. These Alphas, as if they had taken drugs, brimmed with vigor and seemed to feel no pain. No matter how Ning Hanzhu struck them, they kept surging forward.
Like a pack of dogs that had scented a meaty bone.
Ning Hanzhu dared not slack off for a moment. Her fists bled, and when she tired, Yang Xiu immediately took over, unleashing frenzied heavy punches as if facing sworn enemies.
Ning Hanzhu had grown accustomed to it. Fortunately, a few others helped too. “Get— get me a rope. Tie them all up first.”
She had just tried knocking these Alphas out, but with little effect. Some even struggled back up while unconscious, truly upending her worldview.
Puff puff puff—
The service robots in the living room suddenly activated, then sprayed mist into the hall. White fog enveloped them. Ning Hanzhu twitched her nose and sniffed, nearly vomiting up everything she had eaten that day.
An utterly foul stench wrapped around them, thicker than the sh1t in a latrine pit. For the first time, Ning Hanzhu hated her heightened senses; her sense of smell amplified dozens of times over. She felt this fog must be poisonous. Her face turned green, and she truly could not hold back. She did not even have time to find a trash bin.
Urp—
Her sound served as a signal.
In the blink of an eye, the Alphas who caught the scent also began retching one after another, vomiting everywhere, big and small.
Seeing the once-fine banquet hall in utter disarray, Wen Yuan Shuang seemed to smell that mixed sour stench too. She turned her head and retched, but fortunately, she had prepared anti-fog masks in advance.
Once the fog dispersed, the mindless Alphas belatedly felt the pain and collapsed in droves. Some bent over, clutching their lower parts and rolling on the ground, howling in agony.
Ning Hanzhu could not help a triple cold laugh at the sight. She had thought this bunch were made of iron and knew no pain. Turns out it was just delayed.
Serves them right, for failing to control themselves.
She only regretted kicking too lightly.
She took a deep breath, halfway through.
Ning Hanzhu’s face twisted savagely, and she retched again.
Urp—
…
When Hua Ge Lan returned with reinforcements, the Omega’s pheromones had been masked by another foul odor. A large hole gaped in the fine banquet hall, and inside lay even greater chaos.
Robots continuously carried out people, hoisting them high. Their faces were unrecognizable, bruised and purple, swollen like pufferfish. No one could tell who was who.
Even Alphas were tough, but beaten like this, they needed doctors. Moreover, Ning Hanzhu and Yang Xiu had shown no mercy. They had meant to drive them back at first, but when that failed, they lost all restraint.
Wen Yuan Shuang first located the children playing on the lawn. Fortunately, the banquet hall incident had not affected them. They did not even know what had happened inside.
After that, she reviewed the surveillance footage and learned who had gone into heat. She smoothly found the room where Xu Yuqing and Luo Tianran were.
But the room door was locked.
She contacted Xu Yuqing, and the video connected at once.
“How is Second Miss now?”
“Not good.”
Luo Tianran was going mad in the bathroom. She had been wailing for a while, playing pitiful, and now she was starting to babble nonsense.
Xu Yuqing was also far from well. She got straight to the point. “Give me two rows of inhibitors.”
The thick poppy scent had become the perfect lure. Nearby Omegas would be affected too, and in severe cases, it would directly trigger their own heat.
She had only been able to lock Luo Tianran in the bathroom first. The icy water could briefly clear a person in heat. But she knew it was not the best solution. She would stall as long as she could.
Wen Yuan Shuang was shocked. “Two rows?”
Xu Yuqing, “Yes, two rows. Just do as I say.”
She had no idea what had happened outside. But since Wen Yuan Shuang could call, things must be temporarily under control.
She wondered how Ning Hanzhu was doing.
At the thought of that person, Xu Yuqing’s heart suddenly softened, and her nose stung a bit.
Wen Yuan Shuang knew that if she mishandled this, it would be a major disaster, dragging down even her Hua Ge Lan. She immediately made arrangements.
The inhibitors arrived quickly via robot.
Xu Yuqing took three shots for herself first. After the three injections, she added two more. The anomalies in her body were soon suppressed.
But only temporarily.
She picked up the inhibitors and pushed open the bathroom door. The sounds inside had weakened just now. Water overflowed from the tub onto the floor, with clothes, towels, and toiletries scattered everywhere.
As Xu Yuqing approached, she saw a mass of ink-black long hair floating in the tub. Luo Tianran lay entirely submerged, but sensing someone near.
Splash.
She sat up.
Like a female ghost emerging from her bath, she reached out to wrap around Xu Yuqing. “Sister Xu, stop tormenting me. I feel so awful.”
“Tianran.”
“I will inject you with inhibitors first.”
“It will not work.”
Luo Tianran was being driven nearly insane by the torment. She needed an Alpha.
Xu Yuqing jabbed two inhibitors swiftly and harshly into her arm, but Luo Tianran still shook her head, grabbing her hand and tearfully pressing it to her face. “Sister Xu, send for Yang Xiu. I cannot take it anymore.”
Xu Yuqing’s hand touched her scorching cheek and suddenly felt a pang of sorrow. “Just endure a bit longer, all right?”
Luo Tianran shook her head. She had already endured for so long—like a century. So long she felt she would die the next second.
Xu Yuqing tried injecting two more, but they had no effect at all.
Luo Tianran was drenched all over, her thin clothes clinging to her body and revealing her impressive curves. She looked both haggard and full of allure.
Xu Yuqing turned her head away. “Tianran, are you sure you want me to call Yang Xiu over?”
Luo Tianran grew irritable. At a time like this, what was there to confirm? She had brought only Yang Xiu as her guardian today. “Just him.”
Xu Yuqing confirmed once more. “Are you clear-headed right now?”
Perhaps the inhibitors had taken effect. Luo Tianran’s previously muddled thoughts now raced. She smiled indifferently. “Sister Xu, do you mean to stay and help me instead?”
That one sentence scared Xu Yuqing off at once.
Xu Yuqing paused outside the door for a moment and increasingly felt something odd about today’s events. In the end, she dared not leave the person alone in the room and dialed Ning Hanzhu’s light brain number.
Urp—
“Ning Hanzhu?”
Ning Hanzhu knelt over the toilet, nearly vomiting up bile. She eased for a moment and saw that Xu Yuqing looked fine on the video. “How is Second Miss now?”
Xu Yuqing furrowed her brow imperceptibly. “Call Yang Xiu up.”
Ning Hanzhu, “?”
She paused for a second. “Okay, got it.”
Yang Xiu was in the next room, bashing his head against the bathroom tiles. His condition was worse than Ning Hanzhu’s. The Alpha possessiveness had driven him to beat the hell out of those bastards eyeing Luo Tianran. But as her guardian himself, he could not resist the Omega pheromones at all.
When Ning Hanzhu found him, his eyes were bloodshot, and he looked at her like prey. Ning Hanzhu nearly punched him but held back upon seeing his battered, bruised face. “Second Miss is waiting for you in the upstairs room.”
Yang Xiu scrambled up at once and staggered out.
Ning Hanzhu considered warning him not to scare Second Miss Luo with his appearance but thought better of it, given Luo Tianran’s fierce personality.
Probably no one would mind anyway.
Ning Hanzhu kicked the wall hard. Crack. A fissure appeared in the surface.
When Xu Yuqing found her, Ning Hanzhu lay sprawled on the stairs, where anyone passing might accidentally step on her.
Xu Yuqing stared down at her for a while from above. Ning Hanzhu’s face bore no injuries, just a split lip at the corner. But her utterly languid posture actually struck her as handsome, with a roguish charm. “Get up.”
Ning Hanzhu did not move. She was tired.
It was her first time in a brawl and the first time she had seen how terrifying Alphas could be when they lost reason. She should be grateful for her pheromone recognition disorder. Otherwise, would she have become one of those hideous faces today too?
The thought of possibly going into heat toward some stranger, someone she did not like or even despised, made Ning Hanzhu nauseous enough to retch again. But she had already vomited up her bile today, and her stomach was empty. Nothing left to bring up.
“Today’s incident was no accident.”
“!!!? What?”
Ning Hanzhu sat bolt upright in shock at Xu Yuqing’s words. Xu Yuqing lowered her gaze. “Tianran drank a glass of wine meant for me today.”
Only now did she have time to sort through things.
Xu Yuqing’s heat was imminent, so she had not really wanted to attend such a banquet unless necessary. Before coming, she had even pre-injected an inhibitor.
Just in case.
