Chapter 29: Continuing the Kissing Practice
Song Cun couldn’t remember exactly when he fell asleep last night.
But he clearly remembered one thing—he had fallen asleep while being kissed in Qi Yan’s arms.
When Song Cun woke up, Qi Yan had already gotten out of bed. That man was just too self-disciplined—he went out for morning runs almost every single day.
No wonder his body was so great. Even through pajamas, it felt really nice to the touch…
Song Cun turned over and began recalling how the two of them had ended up kissing last night—Ah, right!
Qi Yan said he had pheromone disorder, and for the time being, he couldn’t mark him. He needed to practice controlling his pheromones through kissing.
Song Cun lifted his hand and gently pressed a fingertip to his lips.
“Tss—”
They felt a little swollen from all the kissing.
They had kissed for so long last night… so had Qi Yan gained control over his pheromones yet?
Song Cun turned over again, then again, and finally picked up his phone—it was just a bit past 7 AM.
Normally, he’d still be lazing in bed at this hour. Even if he was already awake, he’d usually doze off again soon after.
But today, it felt like there were nails in the bed—he tossed and turned without a hint of sleepiness. So he simply got up.
When he came downstairs, 2099 brought him a cup of hot coffee and greeted him flatteringly:
“Young Master looks radiant today~ Seems like you slept very well last night, hehe~”
Song Cun nearly spit out his coffee.
Why did this scene feel so much like those dramas where the newlywed young wife gets teased by the nosy little maid after spending the night with her doting husband:
“Miss, you’re glowing today. The young master must’ve treated you quite well last night, huh~?”
And then the embarrassed wife would act like she was about to hit her:
“You silly girl, no manners at all—I’m not playing with you anymore…!”
Song Cun’s temples twitched as he forcibly shut down that brain theater.
“You need to watch fewer brainless dramas from now on.”
2099 acted innocent, “Yes, Young Master. I’ll take my leave now.”
The early morning air was crisp and fresh. It was rare for Song Cun to be up this early. He took his coffee and sat down in a garden lounge chair, planning to read through his script.
At 8 o’clock, Qi Yan came back from his morning run and spotted Song Cun sitting in the garden.
As if sensing his gaze, Song Cun looked up as well.
The two of them met eyes across the garden in the morning light.
Qi Yan smiled and walked over.
“Good morning, Cun Cun.”
Song Cun’s mind suddenly flashed with the image of himself impulsively straddling Qi Yan last night—only to be flipped and kissed into submission…
“Oh, morning.”
He quickly averted his gaze, buried his head in the script, and pretended to be extremely focused.
Qi Yan’s eyes lingered on the tips of Song Cun’s red ears, the corners of his lips curving up.
“I’m going to take a shower. Let’s have breakfast together in a bit.”
“Mm.”
Song Cun still didn’t lift his head.
Only after Qi Yan walked into the house did Song Cun peek up at his retreating back.
…
During breakfast, Song Cun kept sneaking glances at Qi Yan.
Each time he felt like Qi Yan was about to look his way, he would immediately withdraw his gaze and pretend to be calmly eating.
Qi Yan didn’t expose him either. While he answered work calls on the balcony, held video meetings in the study, or reviewed documents—he kept catching sight of someone secretly watching him.
And every time their eyes met, Song Cun would either pretend to pass by or make an excuse like he came out to get water.
It wasn’t until the afternoon, when Qi Yan brought in a fruit platter to the home theater, that he finally confronted the clearly distracted movie-watcher.
Song Cun opened his mouth and stammered:
“Last night, you… we… that…”
Qi Yan sat beside him and chuckled as he rubbed Song Cun’s flushed little face.
“Cun Cun, are you trying to ask whether I’ve gained control of my pheromones?”
Song Cun nodded.
Ugh, pathetic. Where was all that boldness from last night? Why was he now stammering like a bashful virgin girl, unable to say a full sentence?
It must’ve been that comment from 2099 this morning.
Hmph, it was all 2099’s fault!
In the dim light of the theater, the glow flickered across their beautiful faces.
Qi Yan fed Song Cun a strawberry. Song Cun absentmindedly opened his mouth and began chewing, sweet juice bursting in his mouth.
“Still not stable enough. It might take a bit more time.”
Qi Yan’s deep, dark eyes looked straight at Song Cun with compelling calmness.
If Qi Yan said it wasn’t stable enough, then Song Cun wholeheartedly believed him.
Song Cun blinked. So… that meant they’d have to keep kissing until it was?
“So… we still need to continue… practicing kissing?”
Song Cun suddenly regained his speaking ability.
“Mm.”
Qi Yan leaned in slowly, his voice low, “I’ll follow Cun Cun’s lead.”
The next moment—who moved first, no one could say—but the two were already kissing again.
Qi Yan wrapped one arm around Song Cun’s waist and cradled the back of his head with the other.
Song Cun found that he really liked this kind of kissing hug. He soon parted his lips slightly.
The rich strawberry sweetness in his mouth blended with the cool, crisp scent of cedar. Their pheromones began to swirl, mingle, and intertwine in the growing heat of their breaths.
Song Cun could feel Qi Yan’s pheromones gently enveloping him, like a soothing cocoon with a calming magic.
He closed his eyes, fully immersed, his hands naturally wrapping around Qi Yan’s neck, releasing even more of his own strawberry-scented pheromones.
Sensing Song Cun’s response, Qi Yan’s pheromones grew stronger too—layer after layer of cedar scent wrapping tighter and tighter.
His gentle kisses gradually turned intense and aggressive. Song Cun, who hadn’t yet mastered how to breathe while kissing, soon flushed red from lack of air.
Realizing something was wrong, Qi Yan quickly pulled away to let him breathe.
“Sorry, I lost control for a second…”
Song Cun caught his breath in Qi Yan’s arms. When he looked up and saw the guilty look in Qi Yan’s eyes, he patted him on the shoulder and comforted him generously:
“I-It’s okay. Once we practice more… you’ll be able to control it.”
Qi Yan looked at him, eyes soft with amusement and affection. He pulled Song Cun into a hug again and lowered his head to kiss the tiny mole beneath his eye.
“Cun Cun, how are you this sweet…”
…
