Chapter 47: You’re a Little Omega!
After seeing Song Cun embracing and kissing an alpha at his family’s hotel, Lin Wan spent three days “bombarding” Song Cun with emojis on WeChat until he finally managed to get him to the VIP room of a bar. As soon as Song Cun pushed open the door, he was met with Lin Wan’s meaningful stare.
Lin Wan still couldn’t believe that the omega heartthrob, known to his fans as an aloof cool guy, could tuck himself so sweetly into an alpha’s arms like a little bird. He must have been seeing things. Or maybe Song Cun’s taste was so unique that he found an omega who was taller and stronger than him. But that… that would be too unique. The person looked like an alpha no matter how he looked at it.
These past few days, Lin Wan had been overthinking it, getting distracted in meetings and social gatherings, and had gotten spanked on his butt several times by Lin Boqing. To protect his butt, he had to confirm it with Song Cun in person. Song Cun, who was getting goosebumps from being stared at, couldn’t help but say, “Spit it out.”
Lin Wan’s heart skipped a beat. But looking at Song Cun’s tone, which was as defiant and unrestrained as ever, he couldn’t connect him to the little helpless thing who had tucked himself into an alpha’s arms that night. Lin Wan became even more convinced that he must have seen wrong.
Getting up from the opposite sofa, Lin Wan moved to sit next to Song Cun. As soon as he sat down, he caught a whiff of a strong alpha pheromone. Lin Wan quickly jumped away, covering his nose and mouth. “Holy crap, the alpha pheromone is so strong!” Maybe the smell of alcohol in the room was too strong, but only now, sitting next to Song Cun, did he smell the intense pheromones coming from him.
Hearing this, Song Cun subconsciously covered the back of his neck. It had been three days since Qi Yan had temporarily marked him. Were the cedar pheromones he left on him still this obvious? The scent seemed to be of a high level, carrying an air of unassailable dominance. Although Lin Wan was an omega, he didn’t dare to get too close. He moved to a single sofa nearby. He thought, Did Song Cun, the eternal pseudo-alpha, finally differentiate?
Now that he was farther away, Lin Wan put down his hand and asked in shock, “Cun Ge, did you… differentiate into an alpha?”
Amid his shock, Lin Wan was even more convinced that he had been mistaken that night. Song Cun relaxed the hand that was covering the scent-blocking patch. Lin Wan’s innocent mind could only come to that conclusion. Song Cun didn’t say yes or no. He picked up a cocktail and vaguely deflected the topic. “Do you have something to tell me or not? If not, I’m going home to sleep.”
Lin Wan’s lips parted, but his words suddenly took a turn. If he asked such a pointed question right away, Cun Ge would definitely turn around and leave. Lin Wan decided on a roundabout approach and talked about something else first. He put on a wronged expression and said in a low voice, “After I got the model at the charity banquet that night, I couldn’t find you. Where did you go? And you didn’t even say goodbye?”
Song Cun half-lifted his eyelids and nonchalantly took a sip of his cocktail. “I went out for some air and beat someone up on the way.”
Lin Wan pretended to count on his fingers. “If I’m not mistaken, you beat up Song Huai, right?”
Song Cun lifted an eyebrow. “You’re so good at guessing, why bother asking me?” Song Cun wasn’t surprised that Lin Wan knew, since it happened at the Lin family’s hotel.
Lin Wan looked at Song Cun’s indifferent face, pulled out his phone, and showed him a picture. Song Cun lifted an eyelid for a look. The person in the photo had a thick bandage on his forehead, a black and blue face, so badly beaten his own mother wouldn’t recognize him. But Song Cun would know this person even if he turned to ash.
Song Cun raised a questioning eyebrow. “Song Huai?” He remembered he had only smashed Song Huai once. At most, he would need a few stitches on his forehead, but the person in the photo looked like he had been thrashed again.
“After you left that night, I had my bodyguards ‘serve’ him up another round.” Lin Wan slapped his thigh, laughing heartily. “He couldn’t even open his eyes after you smashed him, so he had no idea who beat him up later. After that, he came to the hotel to make a fuss and demand the security footage. He even went to my brother.”
“And then?” Song Cun’s brows furrowed slightly.
“Of course, the security cameras were broken!”
Song Cun’s lips curved into a smile. He raised his glass and clinked it against Lin Wan’s. “Thanks.”
Lin Wan gave him a sidelong glance. “Don’t be so formal with me. That’s a bit distant.”
Song Cun smiled and took a sip of his cocktail. Then he suddenly heard Lin Wan add, “Do you have someone outside?”
Pfffft— Song Cun spat out his cocktail before he could swallow it. Cough… cough, cough…
Lin Wan didn’t expect such a big reaction. It was a good thing he wasn’t sitting across from him, or he would have been sprayed. He quickly pulled out a few tissues and gave them to Song Cun, patting him on the back. Song Cun was choking. He turned his head and coughed a few more times.
As Lin Wan was patting Song Cun’s back, he was about to say, “It was just a joke, was that necessary?” But out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly glimpsed… the edge of the scent-blocking patch on the back of Song Cun’s neck had come undone, revealing a tooth mark. And it wasn’t just one. It looked like multiple marks, as if someone had gnawed on it repeatedly.
Lin Wan was so shocked he fell back onto the sofa. “Holy crap!” “Holy crap!!” He stared at Song Cun, who was recovering from his coughing fit, his eyes wide with disbelief. Lin Wan’s mouth was wide open, and he stuttered, “Cun… Cun Ge, you… you’re a little omega…”
