- Chapter 3 - The Pure One is the Puppy
“Puppy, still feeling hot?”
Shen Yuanyi couldn’t quite make out the words, responding with a vague “Mmm” in her dazed state.
Her arms clung to what felt like a water-filled balloon doll—chilly yet soft to the touch. Greedily, she wanted to hold onto it forever, to melt into it completely.
With all her strength, she restrained the figure beneath her, her vision blurred as if caught between dream and reality. A voice in her head urged her to indulge in the moment, to seize the pleasure.
Her mind foggy, she pressed the “balloon doll” beneath her, tilting her head in confusion. What was she supposed to do next?
“Your hand—give it to me.”
Hand?
No, that voice… it sounded so familiar.
Shen Yuanyi shook her head, her rationality slipping further away.
“And then… here.”
It was as if she had been granted sweet rain, soothing her scorched earth. She threw her head back, running wildly through a stormy night, screaming in reckless abandon.
“Good girl.” Her hand was guided to the zipper at the back of the dress. “Do you know what to do?”
“Pull down the zipper,” Shen Yuanyi murmured.
A soft hum of approval followed.
Her movements were gentle, slowly peeling away the rabbit’s fur.
“You smell so good… I could just devour you.”
The balloon doll was so soft, so comforting, carrying a faint scent of tea. Unable to resist, she buried her face into it, transforming into a possessive little wolf. “You’re mine. Only mine. I won’t let anyone else have you.”
With a fierce yet childish grip, she tightened her hold on the dreamlike figure, sinking her alpha fangs into the smooth, flat stomach beneath her.
A sharp hiss of pain reached her ears.
Satisfied, her lips curled into an unconscious smirk.
She wanted the whole world to know—this doll belonged to Shen Yuanyi.
“You little devil, biting so hard again.” Despite her words, Qi Ning’an made no move to push her away.
Drugged and delirious, the alpha finally collapsed, exhausted, gasping for breath as she lay still.
Memories flickered like a kaleidoscope through her blank, muddled mind.
As an idol trainee, she had fought her way through tens of thousands of competitors. At twelve, she practiced until her body gave out daily, all for a slim chance to debut.
At seventeen, she finally made it—joining a group, debuting. Yet five years passed with little success, the group languishing in obscurity. Heartbroken, she had hidden under the covers in her tiny dorm, wiping away tears, when she stumbled upon a novel titled “Seduce the Director and Make Him Beg: My Explosive Rise in Showbiz”—a wish-fulfillment story if the title was any indication.
Sniffling, she had sought solace in the story, only to find it was pure smut—and worse, the scumbag alpha antagonist shared her name. The author had dedicated chapters to tormenting this character.
She still remembered the scene where the villain, Qi Ning’an, eyes bloodshot, lifted the antagonist’s chin and forced her to swallow the same aphrodisiac she had once used on Qi. Coldly, Qi had whispered, “Hot? Let’s play a game. Heads, I beat you with an iron rod. Tails, I whip you with a barbed lash. Be a good girl and survive the night.”
Others might have reveled in the revenge, but Shen Yuanyi—the real one—had shuddered in horror.
Damn it all. It all traced back to the villain being drugged, her innocence shattered, twisting her into a monster.
“Qi… Ning’an…” Lying on the soft couch, Shen Yuanyi struggled to open her eyes, her pupils straining to focus.
She hadn’t become a global star yet. She hadn’t been seen by the world.
She didn’t want to die.
Qi Ning’an effortlessly zipped up her dress and fastened the collar button, calmly taking the extra time to observe the chaotic scene unfolding downstairs at the auction.
How amusing.
In the past, she would have joined the game downstairs, raising the stakes to make it more thrilling and exciting.
But now, she had no desire to provoke the little wolf again, only to watch it walk away.
“It’s so hot… Qi Ning’an… I’ll take you away.” Shen Yuanyi’s fingers clenched as she uttered these words in broken gasps.
The big bad wolf had instantly transformed into an innocent little rabbit, crouching pitifully beside the young wolf. “Shen Yuanyi, wake up, wake up.”
Qi Ning’an’s concerned gaze remained unwavering—so convincing that even she might have believed she was truly a pure little rabbit.
Layers of overlapping images sharpened into focus, like a camera lens adjusting.
Before her appeared a breathtakingly beautiful face, cold and restrained.
“Qi Ning’an.” Shen Yuanyi recognized that face and smiled weakly, slowly reaching out to grasp those pale hands. “Wait for me… I’ll take you away from here.”
Suddenly holding hands—this was different from when they had clasped hands in the heat of passion. Qi Ning’an couldn’t pinpoint why, but in that instant, her chest felt full, her thirty years of emptiness replaced by an overwhelming sense of security and warmth.
What should she say?
After a moment’s hesitation, she simply replied, “Mm.”
The nearly hundred-thousand-dollar drug had been a steep investment, and its effects wouldn’t fade for at least ten days—anything less would be an insult to its reputation as a forbidden substance.
When the next wave of heat came, Shen Yuanyi would once again descend into mindless delirium.
Qi Ning’an gently stroked Shen Yuanyi’s flushed cheeks, her cool, detached eyes fixed on the young wolf. I’m sorry. Next time, I won’t take it too far.
Before long, Shen Yuanyi gritted her teeth, furrowed her brows, and struggled to sit up, her head heavy and dizzy. Spotting the villain crouched on the floor, she sighed in admiration. The big bad villain is so kind.
At the same time, she asked the question weighing most heavily on her mind: “How long was I out?”
The original owner of this body had a head injury—a serious one. She suspected that the previous occupant had died from it, and her sudden blackout was likely due to the same wound.
She had no idea when she’d lost consciousness. Please don’t let me have missed the best chance to take the villain away.
A silent prayer.
Qi Ning’an’s thoughtful murmur reached her ears. “About half an hour.”
Half an hour?!
Shen Yuanyi’s fingers tightened, her eyes widening in disbelief as she stared at Qi Ning’an. Aaaaah, no no no, this is bad!
“D-did you see anything?” Shen Yuanyi swallowed hard, her arms trembling slightly.
“Hmm…” Those utterly guileless eyes met hers as Qi Ning’an tapped her chin in thought. “It seemed pretty lively downstairs, but I’m not sure what they were doing. I was waiting for the little wolf to wake up the whole time. As for what I saw…”
Qi Ning’an’s eyes brightened, and she poked Shen Yuanyi’s cheek with a finger. “I saw how soft your cheeks were! You pout in your sleep—I really wanted to poke them.”
Shen Yuanyi flushed and jerked her head back, dodging the finger.
But inwardly, she sighed in relief. Thank goodness. There’s still time. The villain hasn’t turned dark—that’s great!
“Little wolf, little wolf, what were they doing down there?” Qi Ning’an leaned closer, curiosity sparkling in her eyes.
The scent of tea leaves drifted toward her—pleasant, intoxicating. It felt familiar, as if she’d tangled with it in a dream. Her throat tightened, and the glands at the back of her neck pulsed uncontrollably.
Shen Yuanyi tilted her head back, cheeks flushed, lips parting and closing as if struggling to find words.
“If you won’t tell me, I’ll go see for myself.”
The villain stood up with eager curiosity and ran over to look. Shen Yuanyi’s eyes widened, pupils trembling with shock.
“Wait.” She reached out, ignoring her weak limbs as she hurried after the villain in quick strides. Just as they neared the window where an indecent scene was about to come into view, Shen Yuanyi covered Qi Ning’an’s eyes with her hand.
“They’re just playing a game. Let’s not disturb them.”
Slowly guiding Qi Ning’an backward, Shen Yuanyi spoke softly, “Qi Ning’an, let’s play a game too. The rule is you have to hold my hand the whole time and can’t make a sound.”
“Okay!” Qi Ning’an agreed without hesitation. “Hand-holding!”
“Yes yes, hand-holding.”
The pure-hearted little villain was completely outmatched by Shen Yuanyi, the seasoned seductress of the girl group—like a level one player facing a level hundred opponent.
Shen Yuanyi sighed in relief, grateful they’d transmigrated early while the villain was still innocent.
Releasing her hand from Qi Ning’an’s eyes, she took the white rabbit’s hand instead. “Let’s leave now.”
Bound by the no-talking rule, the little rabbit squeezed Shen Yuanyi’s hand and nodded.
Opening the private room door, they found only the green emergency lights illuminating the empty hallway. The air was thick with an alluring fragrance—the rose-scented pheromones of an omega, whispering like a succubus to abandon reason and surrender to desire.
Shen Yuanyi tightened her grip, feeling heat rise in her body and throat grow parched.
She inwardly complained: Did everyone at this auction think it was cold? Why was the AC set so high? It’s sweltering.
Wiping sweat from her forehead, she heard strange noises ahead—rustling sounds like someone engaged in vigorous exercise.
Frowning, Shen Yuanyi wondered who’d be so motivated to work out at an auction.
And not just one person—the sounds suggested two, no, maybe three people, rising and falling in waves. How competitive.
Qi Ning’an suddenly turned and pressed Shen Yuanyi against the stairwell wall.
“Hmm?” The little wolf blinked in confusion, tilting her head.
What was this about?
The rabbit stood on tiptoe to kiss her cheek, then covered her ears.
Lost in wondering why Qi Ning’an would kiss her, Shen Yuanyi didn’t notice people passing by.
After a moment, the mischievous rabbit smiled, tugging her hand to continue.
With her free hand, Shen Yuanyi touched her head, then the kissed cheek—the cool sensation felt wonderful.
Tch. She wanted to slap herself for such thoughts!
Carefully guiding Qi Ning’an downstairs, they kept hearing more people “exercising” with heavy breathing. Each time, Qi Ning’an would either take an alternate route or pull them into some hidden corner to kiss her cheek again.
The villain was truly beautiful inside and out—an innocent older sister.
She’d voluntarily detour to avoid disturbing others’ workouts.
Since the drugs administered by the original host must still linger in her system, Qi Ning’an would kiss her whenever discomfort arose.
Finally exiting the auction house, the cool night breeze brought sweet relief.
The no-talking game rule was lifted. Qi Ning’an wrapped his arms around her neck, panting, “Puppy, my heart is beating so fast. Listen, why is that?”
