When I was working as a civil servant, I was found out to be a muscle-brained knight by the princess knight and got sent to the front lines - Episode 84
Episode 84
A crude iron staff, nothing more. Yet, with just this staff, miracles are wrought to defeat enemies—through human effort and a believing heart.
Holy Magic: The Believers Are Saved, Aquinas
(Note: Yeah, if you guys feels embarrassed about hearing the names and the chants every single time….Just remember that I have to read it word for word. It’s already 80 chapters and it’s still going (つ╥﹏╥)つ )
In the Golden City S.P.Q.R, Archbishop Edelmar Solemnis, aided by fifty holy knights, restrained the Orc King’s movement. With a strike of his soul-infused rod, the Archbishop’s blow crushed the Orc King’s head with a dull thud, driving the staff deep into its torso.
All that remained was the Orc King’s shattered body, its blood splattering on Edelmar, who wielded the massive, unrefined tin staff, now tinged black. Yet, this darkness was not the staff’s color but the blood of the demons it had absorbed. Edelmar Solemnis, who had stood on the front lines for decades protecting humanity from countless threats, embodied the testament of the iron rod.
“…Hm. It seems safe here.”
Edelmar, carefully observing the crushed Orc King, confirmed the safety of his surroundings.
Almost simultaneously, loud explosions echoed near the legion garrison and the royal academy in various parts of the capital. Intermittent sounds of battle also emanated from the direction of the kingdom’s parliament.
The explosions near the legion garrison were caused by Al-Faz’s unit’s Special Chant: Quadruple Domain Magic, Thunder Spirit Piercing Arrow – Stormforge Railgun
And from the royal academy.
Edelmar, however, remained calm, even as he glanced towards that direction. There would be no issue if it concerned his fostered saintess, Lucretia Alma. Her talent was overwhelming, beloved by the gods. Her journey would not halt in such a place.
He only had to fulfill his duty.
“Now, everyone. Let’s move on.”
“Yes, understood.”
Archbishop Edelmar Solemnis and his hundred holy knights. They never stopped in their mission to protect all people.
…
At the same time, as Al-Faz’s unit unveiled new armaments near the legion garrison, and the Archbishop and holy knights physically crushed the Orc King with sacred magic and the tin staff, an Orc King appeared at the royal academy.
The specific aim of the enemy was unclear. Yet, targeting young elites burdened with the future of this country might seem rational at first glance.
If one aims to strike down the enemy, one must start with the weakest points. That’s the ironclad rule of battle. In a typical academy, this Orc King’s assault might have succeeded.
But where are we?
Yes. This is none other than the Tashman Kingdom, the forefront nation of humanity and the strongest nation.
A mammoth school with around 3000 students. A place where suddenly a hundred students would charge into a mock battle with the legion commander.
In this attack on the capital, a dozen or so Orc Kings appeared. Later, the Academy’s staff would reflect with wry smiles that the individual Orc King that appeared at the royal academy had the most severely damaged corpse among those that appeared in the capital.
…
On that day, the royal academy carried on with its usual classes. Only the headmaster and some teachers were informed of the attack plan on the capital, keeping it under wraps from the students for the sake of information control.
However, due to temporary schedule changes made to avoid predicted enemy appearances, keen students noticed the anomalies.
Some teachers and knights on patrol were more vigilant than usual. Those students who noticed these anomalies carried their own weapons within the academy. Something might happen today.
Among these students were Luca Norman and Nicholas Crane, who, after a heated battle in a mock battle class, exchanged congratulations on each other’s performance and reflected on it for a while.
Luca, who boasted the top strength at the royal academy, and Nicholas, who was among the top five, had been close friends from the start and frequently engaged in battles during mock battles.
After their battle with Legion Commander Maria Valenti, they would now embark on more intense training.
The students of the royal academy, led by Luca and Nicholas, who had realized Maria’s overwhelming skills and the potential of basic techniques, were now more dedicated to training than ever before.
While watching the two sweaty figures, Lucia Norman lay on a bench at the edge of the training ground used for mock battles, yawning.
The free-spirited Lucia Norman and the student council president Luca Norman. Two people with polar opposite personalities.
However, everyone knew something about Lucia: she was the type who worked hard behind the scenes. Whenever new students who didn’t know Lucia challenged her, she always turned the tables on them.
But that aside.
As the mock battle exercise for the third-year students like Luca, Nicholas, and Lucia was nearing its end, suddenly, the roar of monsters echoed through the academy grounds, accompanied by blaring alarms. Furthermore, across the entire royal capital, King Ramses issued a command to “annihilate them.”
The moment this news spread, all 3,000 students of the academy moved simultaneously.
The Orc King appeared not far from the main gate of the Royal Academy, advancing towards the plaza. There, the city-class conceptual armament “Golden City S.P.Q.R.” activated by King Ramses had sealed the Orc King’s movements, even showing signs of some debuff effects.
Some teachers and security knights had already entered combat readiness, but their numbers were understandably few. Despite many former legionnaires among the teaching staff at the Royal Academy, the battle ahead would still be tough.
Yet, this was the Royal Academy.
Alarms echoed throughout the campus, and after the king’s command, students swiftly gathered near the main gate of the academy, each wielding their respective weapons.
Those skilled in close combat took the vanguard, magic users positioned themselves in the rear, while non-combatants prepared support magic and first aid from a safe distance.
3,000 enthusiastic students surrounded the lone Orc King.
And amidst this bizarre atmosphere, breaking through the student’s Orc King encirclement:
“The Successor” Nicholas Crane,
“The Free Spirit” Lucia Norman,
“The Student Council President” Luca Norman,
And “The Saint” Lucretia Alma.
These acknowledged representatives of the current Royal Academy stepped forward.
Facing the restrained Orc King, Student Council President Luca Norman flipped his uniform’s hem, clenched his fists wrapped in brass knuckles, adjusted his glasses, and declared firmly:
“Everyone, we have guests. Let’s welcome them warmly.”
Simultaneously, “The Saint” Lucretia Alma activated a super-wide-range support enhancement sacred magic, bolstering all 3,000 students.
