Erin asked René while keeping a wary eye on the dragon that seemed ready to break free and rampage. Jez was also concerned about the same thing and quietly waited for René’s response.

During the Battle of Graysian, René had incinerated the entire enemy army using the 9th-tier strategic magic, Flames of Judgement, including the Orc King. During the battle against the Orc Emperor, she defeated one with the 8th-tier magic Flame Spirit Armor and the spirit armor’s Overdrive. Meanwhile, Maria’s unit on the ground provided anti-air fire and support shots. These were also blocked by the dragon’s barrier. Lilly, however, managed to block all the deadly stray shots from reaching the ground.

It was a fierce back-and-forth battle, but it was clear that Princess René was being pushed back even from a distance. At the moment when everyone thought this was going badly, the dragon found an opening and struck René down to the ground with its tail.

René crashed to the ground with a thunderous roar as the dragon chased after her. Still unbalanced, René tried to recover as the dragon raised its claw to strike her down.

The one who jumped in between René and the dragon was, of course, our civil officer. René, battered and bruised, looked at him with a surprised expression.

With a thunderous crash, the dragon was driven into the ground. With an enraged roar, it charged toward Jez.

“Don’t forget about me.”

René, who had rejoined the battle, struck down at the dragon from above with the Flame Sovereign sword. It was now glowing a brilliant blue. The dragon slammed into the ground again. Did they do it? The surrounding onlookers held their breath in anticipation.

“!? ”

From within the cloud of dust, a sudden surge of magical power was followed by a dragon breath attack. Neither René nor Jez expected such a powerful attack to be unleashed so quickly.

Just in time, Lilly leaped in while holding her round shield and deployed a massive defensive spell. The spell diverted the dragon’s attack skyward. From slightly behind, Erin poured every bit of her enhancement magic into Lilly.

The dragon breath and Lilly’s defensive magic were locked in a tense standoff for a while.

With a desperate effort, Lilly managed to fully withstand the attack.

Seizing the moment right after the dragon unleashed its breath, Maria, René, and the others launched a coordinated attack. But still…

She had devoted herself to protecting those around her and providing support. Erin was also nearing her limit from supporting both Lilly and René.

Meanwhile, Jez was repeatedly striking the dragon whenever he found an opening. His magically enhanced hands were now bloodied. The blue flames surrounding René flickered, occasionally mixed with red flames.

The dragon had certainly taken damage but was still standing. As everyone realized how dire the situation was, the dragon unleashed another breath attack.

Lilly stepped forward and intended to block it but…

Suddenly, a government uniform, two pens, and a pair of armguards flew in from the sky, forming a magical barrier. These conceptual armaments, which should have been stored in the Academy, had suddenly teleported from the armory to Jez’s side. They automatically deployed a magical barrier that withstood the dragon’s breath attack.

Startled by the sudden appearance of these mysterious items, the dragon took to the sky and retreated with caution.

The humans were left in shock, but Jez was the first to recover and cursed under his breath, “Ah, damn it!” He quickly donned the floating uniform, strapped the armguards to his legs, and joined the two pens together at their ends. Then, he shouted:

The power of the concept Freedom of Speech – Behemoth activated in the armguards attached to his legs. It broke the constraint of “humans being bound by gravity”, allowing Jez to soar into the sky.

Flying up to the dragon, Jez swung the massive spear and completed his final incantation:

“O trinity of concepts, gather here and unite your power. Combine the principles of heaven and the forces of earth, and converge the infinite wisdom!”

The massive spear that Jez wielded in the sky began to draw in a vast amount of magical energy from the uniform, transforming into a radiant divine spear.

“O perfect fragment of power, rise with my soul. Awaken, respond to my command, and bring forth infinite strength. Deliver judgment upon this world and manifest my will! Conceptual Armament Combination Magic: Fafnir’s Missing Scale!”

In an instant, Jez closed the distance to the dragon. With all his might, he drove the radiant spear into the dragon’s eye, piercing through to its brain.
