[Author’s Afterword]
Hello, everyone. This is Cape.
Thank you for always reading “When I was working as a civil servant, I was found out to be a muscle-brained knight by the princess knight and got sent to the front lines.”
From Episode 47 to Episode 90, the word count has reached about 120,000 words, which is equivalent to a full novel. Thus, Part 2 has come to a close. Part 3 will continue soon, so please keep enjoying the story.
This work, which began serialization on January 30, 2024, has now reached a word count equivalent to two paperback books within four months, thanks to everyone’s support. Once again, I want to express my gratitude to all of you who read it and leave warm comments.
In Part 2, I significantly changed the atmosphere compared to Part 1. From daily life segments to the introduction of new characters and the explanation of the world, I tried to create a diverse experience as if riding multiple attractions. How did you like it?
While Part 1 focused on a classic war story, it didn’t delve much into the world-building, so I worked on tying up loose ends and laying new plot threads in Part 2.
I understand that the different tone between Part 1 and Part 2 might not appeal to everyone, but I hope you continue to enjoy the series.
And now, Part 3 will take a surprising turn with a transdimensional shift! How many of you saw this coming? Haha. …And will those two characters meet? Please look forward to the upcoming developments!

Character Introduction as of Part 2
[Main Characters]
Jez Norman
Our civil servant. He has now become a Dragon Slayer. It was revealed in Episode 73 that his name was originally Jez Wist. He hails from the autonomous region of Izmirnaia. …Is he a Dragon Slayer (Civil Servant), or a Civil Servant (Dragon Slayer)? Either way, it’s confusing.
René Tashman
Though she was often overshadowed by new characters in Part 2, she had her moment to shine at the end. As the title suggests, she is most likely the main heroine! Right?
Erin Saylor
A cool and somewhat enigmatic person. Upon returning to the capital, she found herself reminiscing about her school days and secretly squirming in private. “I will definitely find them!”
Victor Alchemis
First appeared in Episode 52. The mad alchemist. Pretty much everything is his fault.
“Rejoice. You’re now going to be Full Armor Bureaucrat Mk-II.”
Despite only appearing in a few episodes, he left a lasting impression throughout Part 2. You’re the MVP!
Lilly Johnson
A character who grew beyond the author’s expectations. She’s fun to write. In Episode 60, she barged into Jez’s house and accidentally opened the door to the underworld. While she continues to do her job diligently on the surface, she secretly teases René. Somehow, she’s the conscience of the 7th Legion.
Maria Valenti
Practically the co-protagonist. In fact, she’s more of a protagonist than the protagonist himself, which even surprised the author. This character has far exceeded the author’s original expectations. The fact that the serious elements of this story work well is thanks to her leadership. With her strength and abilities, she could easily be the main character.

[Tashman Kingdom Government]
Ramses Tashman
First appeared in Episode 48. The current king of Tashman Kingdom. Extremely competent as a ruler. However, his behavior when Jez returned to the capital caused a minor uproar in the comments section. Better luck next time. Later, during the terrorist attack on the capital, he didn’t hesitate to deploy a city-level conceptual weapon. His decisiveness is admirable.
Leo Tashman
First appeared in Episode 49. The crown prince and leader of the 1st Legion. His true capabilities remain unknown.
William Saylor
First appeared in Episode 49. The kingdom’s prime minister and Erin Saylor’s father. His temper is very similar to Erin’s.
Ilyas Valenkov
First appeared in Episode 51. The leader of the Royal Guard. It’s tough having to constantly cover for the impetuous King Ramses.

[7th Legion]
Hugo Zwei
Chief of staff of the 7th Legion. The author of the “Zwei Documents.” It’s not his fault.
Jamil Al-Faz
Captain of the Al-Faz Unit in the 7th Legion. He acted separately from Jez during the Capital Arc, focusing on the development of new weapons.

[Ministry of Internal Affairs]
Eva Robbins
Minister of Internal Affairs. First appeared in Episode 47. Jez’s former superior and the one responsible for sending him to the southern front. In Episode 61, she expressed concerns to Jez about Princess René’s potential as a ruler.
Cynthia Clark
First appeared in Episode 47. One of Eva’s secretaries and a young bureaucrat in her second year. Jez Norman was responsible for her training. She would occasionally visit Jez’s house to cook meals for him. The once prickly Cynthia Clark who first joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs has become surprisingly affectionate. That’s quite crafty of you, junior. So very crafty. Kyarun☆
(True) Cynthia Clark
First appeared in Episode 62. Lady Cynthia. While she appears to be a young bureaucrat in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, her true identity is that of a Centurion in the shadowy organization, “0th Legion,” which is part of the Tashman Kingdom’s secret service. In Episode 63, all of Cynthia’s previous actions were revealed to be part of her covert mission. Scary. Her primary duty is to monitor and protect Jez Norman, who is classified as a high-priority surveillance and protection target. In Episode 80, she detected a terrorist plot against the capital, helping to prevent significant damage. Although unconfirmed, there are rumors that she has a clumsy side.

[Church Faction]
Lucretia Alma
First appeared in Episode 54. A saint and a symbol of peace, Lucretia is the most saintly of all saints. She is one of the four saints of the Divina Church and arrived in the Tashman Kingdom three years ago at the tender age of 13; she is now 16 and the youngest saint. Despite her youth, she is remarkably talented, fair, and has an ideal demeanor for a saint. She is perfectly suited to be entrusted with the Divina Church’s most critical base, a frontline state of humanity. Her active work has given her a healthy, sun-kissed complexion, enhancing her charm even more. It was our civil servant Jez who, three years ago, was part of the delegation from the Tashman Kingdom that went to the Divina Papal State to escort her.
Edelmar Solennis
First appeared in Episode 54. An archbishop who has repeatedly declined offers to be elevated to cardinal status, preferring to remain on the front lines. He is rumored to have accumulated more virtues than anyone else in the history of the Divina Church, excluding the saints. In the Divina Church, accumulating virtues includes healing the sick, protecting the weak, and hunting monsters to safeguard humanity. So, in other words, yes, he’s that kind of person.
(True) Lucretia Alma
First appeared in Episode 57. A bratty girl who practices Capoeira.
“Pathetic, pathetic⭐︎. I’ll heal you, poor teacher, because I, the beautiful Lady Lucretia, feel sorry for you. You should be grateful, civil servant-kun!”
On the surface, she is a classic athletic saint. Behind the scenes, she is known by another name: the delinquent elemental footwork saint. When she was an apprentice saint, the Pope found out about her misconduct and sent her to the front lines. This is the true nature of Saint Lucretia Alma. Once you get to know her, she’s just a tsundere, and a genuinely good girl at heart.

[Royal Academy]
Nicholas Crane
First appeared in Episode 64. The son of Elliot Crane. An 18-year-old third-year student at the Royal Academy. He challenged Maria Valenti to a mock battle when she visited the academy. Through this mock battle, Maria Valenti became more conscious of her role as a legion commander.
Luca Norman
First appeared in Episode 67. Jez Norman’s stepbrother. A third-year student at the Tashman Royal Academy and the student council president. He has won the student martial arts tournament three years in a row. Known as the ultimate weapon of humanity, the northern brute, and the son of humanity’s shield, Luca is the heir to the Norman family and the strongest young man of his generation. He excels in both academics and combat and is seen as a leader of the next generation. His glasses often break (according to him, they “break” rather than being “broken”).
Lucia Norman
First appeared in Episode 68. Jez Norman’s stepsister and Luca’s twin sister. Unlike her brother, she is very much a free spirit. She has even obtained an adventurer’s license, and during long vacations, she would sometimes go on expeditions without Jez even knowing. She’s an aspiring archaeologist.
Lucy Hallway
First appeared in Episode 72. A teacher at the Royal Academy. She specializes in healing magic and ancient magic, and is one of the foremost experts in these fields. Lucy Hallway, who is 36 years old, is both a teacher at the Royal Academy and a researcher at the Academy. Though only ten years older than Jez and Erin, she was Erin’s mentor. Erin has known Lucy for about 15 years, having met her before entering the Royal Academy. By her early 20s, Lucy was already one of the top five healers in the Tashman Kingdom. Her family, the Hallway family, is renowned for its mastery of healing magic.
