- Passing Explorer
The details in 1 are intense lol
- Passing Explorer
Is it confirmed that the Okutama and Shinjuku salarymen are the same person?
- Passing Explorer
Almost certainly confirmed.
- Passing Explorer
The video from Okutama had jamming, but the clothing and weapons were the same.
- Passing AI
Even with motion analysis, there’s a nearly 100% probability they are the same person.
- Passing Explorer
>6 Isn’t that someone from the hardcore scene lol
- Passing Explorer
Any official announcements?
- Passing Explorer
Nothing yet from the Dungeon Agency.
- Passing Explorer
But they were clearly shown in Rio-chan’s video, and they were in training for new recruits, right?
- Passing Explorer
Yes, they were in new recruit training that day.
- Passing Explorer
>11 Really??
- Passing Explorer
I’ll post the attendance slip from that day while keeping the names hidden.
- Passing Explorer
>13 It’s true. How was it that day??
…..
- Passing Explorer
I see. So they are definitely a foreign couple then?
- Passing 13
Both spoke fluent Japanese, so it’s unclear if they are foreign, but when they first arrived, they only had beginner’s swords and were dressed in tracksuits.
- Passing Explorer
Hmm. It’s definitely suspicious, right? Do you know what happened after the stream cut off?
- Passing 13
No, they evacuated from the dungeon early, so I don’t know what happened after that.
- Passing Explorer
Yeah. And they fought for 11 hours, after all.
- Passing Explorer
Well, we’ll have to wait. With this much information, it’s unlikely there will be no official response.

“Now then. What will happen next?”
“It will be what it will be. Don’t forget to act as representatives of the Tashman Kingdom.”
“Understood.”
Jez and René had rested and awakened. The morning after defeating the Yamata no Orochi, they were enjoying a leisurely coffee after breakfast at the guest facilities of the Japan Self-Defense Force Ichigaya Garrison.
Although treated as guests, they were effectively under house arrest.
This was understandable. Two explorers with unknown identities, clearly not Japanese, and with exploration skills that were at the very least beyond the deep-level dungeon. Even though they were heroes who prevented the Shinjuku Dungeon’s Stampede and Dungeon Break, it was unreasonable not to be cautious.
The previous night, as soon as Jez and René began their battle with the Yamata no Orochi, the Shinjuku Dungeon was completely surrounded by 2,000 Self-Defense Force, police, and Dungeon Bureau special operations unit members. The defense line was triple-layered around the dungeon. The Japanese side had also prepared for a decisive victory. Even if Jez and René had not been there, they might have been able to handle the situation.
Before Jez fought the Yamata no Orochi, Himuro Rio and another civilian who had been evacuated to a safe zone were also quickly protected by the police.
The video that Rio had been streaming was seized by Dungeon Bureau staff, including the equipment and URL, and the broadcast continued as planned. The continuation of the stream was a political decision. While stopping the stream was considered, it was judged that partial information control might lead to complaints not only domestically but internationally. The viewership had already exceeded one million worldwide and the footage was valuable for understanding dungeon breaks. Consequently, the Prime Minister decided to keep the broadcast going.
Thus, the monumental 11-hour battle was broadcasted to the entire world. During this time, the Dungeon Bureau’s special operations unit and Self-Defense Forces were prepared to provide support. However, they eventually decided to merely observe due to the enigmatic nature of the two explorers’ tricky fighting style and the closed-space nature of the dungeon battle, unlike the Undead Dragon fight.
The special operations unit had been ready to take over from the mysterious explorers at any moment, but Jez and René completed the fight themselves. Immediately after defeating the Yamata no Orochi and collecting the Dragon Fragments, Jez and René, although initially friendly, were completely surrounded and escorted quietly to the Ichigaya garrison by the Self-Defense Forces.
Even Jez and René, after fighting for 11 continuous hours, had no desire to play tag with 2000 people. Upon arriving at the Ichigaya garrison, they were first thanked by the Japanese side and then given a brief interrogation. Given their exhaustion, the session ended that night. They had a hearty meal and slept soundly in the guest facilities.
After waking up, showering, and having breakfast, Jez and René were guided to a meeting room. The facility, though intended for guests, had a heavy security presence. The atmosphere in the facility was tense enough that Jez and René exchanged wry smiles as they noticed the tension.
In the meeting room, they underwent another round of questioning. Judging there was nothing left to hide, Jez and René revealed that they came from a country called the Tashman Kingdom and that they had found themselves in the Okutama Dungeon unexpectedly. The Dungeon Bureau and Self-Defense Forces staff were perplexed, as while there had been many strange occurrences since the dungeons appeared, they had never heard of another world.
A psychological evaluation was conducted but showed no abnormalities. After about 2 to 3 hours of continued questioning with no conclusive results, Jez and René judged that they would not gain any useful information from the Japanese side and broke for lunch. They were guided to a dining hall where the lunch seemed peaceful.
After finishing lunch and returning to the meeting room, Jez and René wondered if the previous officials would have difficulty proceeding with the discussion. At that moment, there was a knock on the door and two people entered.
Upon seeing them, the Dungeon Bureau and Self-Defense Forces staff visibly relaxed and saluted. Conversely, Jez and René, upon seeing these individuals, tensed slightly and prepared for battle. The presence of these individuals was unmistakably formidable, radiating an immense aura of magic and power—clearly not ordinary. They were at least the strength of a brigade commander, if not more. Jez and René instantly went on high alert.
However, the newcomers were seemingly unperturbed by the tense atmosphere and entered the room with a nonchalant demeanor. The man, wearing a white coat, introduced himself:
“Nice to meet you. I am Misaki Kō from the Dungeon Technology Research Institute. I understand you came from another world.”
He greeted Jez and René with a smile and extended his hand for a handshake.
“Isn’t transferring between worlds just the most romantic thing?”
The other person introduced herself as follows:
“Nice to meet you. I am Alpha, the secretary to Misaki. …Master, you shouldn’t stare at them with such sparkling eyes. It makes them uneasy.”
There stood the greatest researcher clad in a white coat and a manifested artificial intelligence secretary.
