When I was working as a civil servant, I was found out to be a muscle-brained knight by the princess knight and got sent to the front lines - Episode 127
Episode 127
Erin finally found Victor.
Seeing her charging at him with the face of a demon, Victor let out a rather genuine “Eep!” in fear. It wasn’t surprising—he hadn’t expected Erin to be here, let alone this angry.
In the past, when Victor had caused trouble at the academy or in the kingdom, it was usually Miriam who would chase him down. However, Erin had never pursued him before. Wasn’t it supposed to be Jez’s job to handle Erin? He seriously wished she’d give him a break. The last time he’d seen Erin this angry was during the Royal Academy’s cultural festival when he and Jez played a prank together.
Back then, they had cooperated to evade an extremely angry Erin, with Victor eventually sacrificing Jez to make his own escape. In the end, Erin and Jez had gotten into a good mood during the festival’s after-party, and Victor had patted himself on the back for a job well done. After all, it had led to the two of them getting together. When he brought this up to Erin a few days later, she kicked him without saying a word.
Miriam had also given him a side-eye and said, “Do you even know what tact means? Oh wait, don’t answer that. It was dumb of me to even ask.” Her self-deprecating remark made him laugh.
Recalling these past memories, Victor realized how much danger he was in.
“…Seriously? Seeing your life flash before your eyes when you run into an old classmate?”
“You really are something to be cracking jokes in a situation like this.”
Victor fled through the ancient ruins, maintaining a distance from Erin. She pursued him relentlessly.Â
“What about the demons around us? No comment?”Â
“I’ll deal with them after I subdue you.”
Victor wasn’t the only one taken aback by Erin’s sudden appearance. The demons, whose movements had been affected by the Magic Jammer, were also thrown into confusion. However, as soon as Lily, Lucretia, and the others caught up, the situation devolved into a massive melee. Victor, about thirty demons, and around a hundred soldiers from the Kingdom of Tashman became embroiled in a chaotic battle.
Victor skillfully maneuvered through the battlefield, trying to shake off Erin. But Erin wasn’t about to let him escape now that she had him cornered.
Amidst the three-way conflict, with various spells flying, the Magic Jammer affecting the entire area, and the Fifth Legion of 3,000 soldiers clashing head-on with 50,000 monsters just outside the ruins, the situation escalated rapidly.Â
Adding to this, Victor, a dimensional singularity himself, Erin, deeply connected to the even more powerful dimensional singularity that was Jez, and Lucretia, a saint and an anchor to this world’s ancient ruins—one of the most unstable locations in this dimensional world—were all gathered in one place. This convergence led to an unforeseen disaster.
Victor tried to create obstacles by channeling magic into the ground to slow Erin down. But the moment his magic entered the ancient ruins, they suddenly began to activate.

A blinding light and a deafening roar marked the activation of the ancient ruins. It appeared that Victor’s magic had triggered the mechanism.
“Victor!? What did you do this time!?”
“This wasn’t me! I have no idea!”
Erin immediately demanded answers, assuming Victor was responsible. But even the skilled alchemist was completely caught off guard by this development.Â
Victor had never heard of the ancient ruins activating. The ominous response from the ruins sent shockwaves through the battlefield, causing all sides to momentarily withdraw and observe the situation.
Then, the four spires of the ancient ruins began to glow even more intensely. Magic began to gather above the central area of the spires.
Seeing this, Victor, Erin, and the others braced themselves, sensing imminent danger. Lucretia, who had been watching closely, suddenly shouted,Â
“This is bad! Erin, a dimensional gate is about to open!!!”
Though Erin didn’t fully understand what Lucretia meant, Victor seemed to grasp the situation.
“So that’s what’s going on!?”Â
He exclaimed as he sprang into action.
Pseudo-Divine Artifact: Perception/Possibility – Horus’ Eye
Victor activated the pseudo-divine artifact, Perception/Possibility – Horus’ Eye. Though its behavior was unstable due to the effects of the Magic Jammer and the ancient ruins, he managed to suppress it.
Using the Perception ability of Ujat’s Eye, he locked the current coordinates of the world in place. Next, with the Possibility ability of Ra’s Eye, he began to weave together the threads of possibility. This was the moment he had been preparing for, securing the Dragon Fragments for just such an occasion.
Originally, Victor had planned to open the dimensional gate by another means. But now that the opportunity had presented itself, there was no reason to let it slip by.
The dimensional gate was forming right before his eyes. However, it was a completely spontaneous and uncontrolled event. If left unattended, there was no telling which world it might connect to.
In that case, Victor resolved to forge his own path, connecting the gate to Earth. He would link the pseudo-divine artifact, the Dragon Fragments, the ancient ruins, and the dimensional singularity on Earth. All of these elements would be brought together.
At this critical moment, Victor also decided to use his other trump card.
“Truth hidden beyond the silence, respond to my voice. Fortune concealed in peace, grant me your power.”
Victor Alchemis, the greatest alchemist of his era, was about to unleash the pinnacle of his life’s work.
“Gather infinite knowledge and insight into my hands, and show forth the power that transcends reason. Across past and future, cross between worlds, and weave infinite possibilities within peace.”
As he spoke these words, an overwhelming surge of magical power erupted from within him. All of it was absorbed into the white coat that he wore.
“My will shall transcend all boundaries, leading to the best possible future. In peace, seek happiness, and now unleash that hidden power here and now.”
To control this immense magical energy, the calculation abilities of the pseudo-divine artifact, Perception/Possibility – Horus’ Eye, were fully utilized to their maximum capacity.
“Manifest the mystical power! Now, I shall seize infinite happiness in my grasp and bring peace to all. Conceptual Armament: Maxwell’s Demon – Seek Happiness Within Peace!”
Maxwell’s Demon – Seek Happiness Within Peace, a phenomenon-interfering conceptual armament. This armament forcibly creates physical phenomena that are impossible within a single dimensional world by balancing them with other dimensional worlds.
By activating this conceptual armament at this moment, Victor was able to determine the destination of the forming dimensional gate.
A bright light and a powerful magical wind surged. When the light cleared, the gate opened. Beyond the dimensional corridor, amidst a mountain of monsters, a figure appeared for a brief moment.
“Victor!?” Â “Jez!”
At last, the two worlds were connected.
