Unique Magic: Deus Ex Machina.  

It is the ultimate technique and symbol of Misaki Kō, one of the ultra-deep-level explorers of Earth’s world. There are only five ultra-deep-level explorers in existence, and the one thing that separates these five from other explorers is their ability to use this unique magic. 

Explorers are generally ranked based on levels such as upper, middle, lower, and deep layers, which are human-made classifications. But what is the real difference in power between a top-tier lower-layer explorer and a bottom-tier deep-layer explorer? The truth is, the rankings can blur.  

However, the ultra-deep-level explorers are different. They are solely evaluated based on whether they can use unique magic. Such is the immense value of this ability. And without hesitation, Misaki used this trump card.

As soon as Misaki unleashed his unique magic, the world around the Ichigaya Garrison training ground began to transform. What appeared was a futuristic city advanced with significant mechanization. Everywhere, mechanized weapons stood at the ready: drones of all sizes, humanoid support armaments, self-propelled turrets, and unmanned aerial vehicles soared across the sky. Among them were towering robots, about 20 meters tall. All of these weapons began to move.

-“Unique magic has arrived!!”-  

-“We’ve won.”-  

-“I’m going to take a bath.”-  

-“Victory is guaranteed lol.”-

-“Misaki, finish them off!”-

Deus Ex Machina—this unique magic had protected Earth’s world from countless disasters before, wielding the power of romance.  

All weapons were aimed at the massive horde of monsters.

“Full Burst!!!”

With his command, a barrage of attacks was unleashed. The deafening roars and blinding flashes felt as though the world itself was shattering. The continuous explosions shook the air.  

The monster horde pouring out from the otherworldly gate was being wiped out with incredible speed, and a path through the corridor was opening.

Deus Ex Machina was functioning perfectly within Earth’s world, covering a 10 km radius around the Ichigaya Garrison under Misaki’s magic.  

However, the otherworldly gate and the corridor leading from it remained resistant to his magic’s influence, with Misaki’s power clashing against the gate’s magic in a fierce stalemate.

Seeing this, Misaki realized that his unique magic wasn’t a perfect match for the dimensional corridor that connected the two worlds. Perhaps the best course of action was to send René and Jez back to their world. As much as his researcher’s curiosity was burning with interest in the other world, considering the current instability of both worlds, time was running out.  

Reports had already confirmed that dungeons around the world, including Japan, were becoming increasingly active.

As much as it pained him, Misaki accepted the situation. He relentlessly pounded the monster horde with artillery and shouted.

“The path is clear!! Go!!!”

René and Jez, who had been taking out the monsters Misaki missed while deploying their conceptual armaments, looked at the open path Misaki had created.  

With admiration for Misaki’s overwhelming firepower, René gathered her magic and unleashed fiery wings. She soared into the air, grasping Jez with her left hand while holding the Flame Sovereign Sword in her right.

“Thank you, Misaki-dono! We are grateful for your help!!”  

“You saved us, thank you!!” 

Misaki smiled and waved at them. 

“It was fun! Take care on your way back!!”

As they prepared to cross the gate, Misaki concentrated his attacks on the path ahead of them. More monsters began to pour out from the gate in overwhelming numbers as they sensed thei movements.

“Ahahahahahaha!!!! Get out of the way, you bastards!!!!!” 

René roared, her magical power fully unleashed. She flapped her fiery wings and charged at full speed toward the gate. With Misaki’s support fire and Jez’s support magic, René became a blazing storm, plowing through the monsters.

Finally, René and Jez reached the gate.

On the other side of the gate and the corridor, Victor spotted Jez and Princess René.  

Using the pseudo-divine artifact, Perception / Possibility – Horus’ Eye, along with the event-interference conceptual armament, Maxwell’s Demon, he had managed to connect the passage to the intended dimensional world.

However, the results were due to a series of coincidences. Even if asked to do the same thing again, it would be impossible. Originally, the plan had been to gather the Dragon Fragments, use them to employ the Reverse Technique, and retrieve Jez and the others. But things had escalated into something far bigger than expected.  

Interference from dozens of demons and a magic jammer. Then there was Victor and Erin, who were becoming dimensional singularities, and the saintess, Lucretia. Additionally, a large-scale battle was reportedly taking place near the ancient ruins.  

As a result of all these factors, the magical balance of the world became locally destabilized, triggering the activation of the ancient ruins and the opening of the gate. Given the simultaneous occurrence of so many events, it would be difficult to recreate the conditions needed to activate the ancient ruins again.  

In other words, if this chance is lost, there is no telling what will happen to Jez and the others. They need to hurry through the corridor, but…

“…I see, so that’s how it’s going to be?”

Victor, unusually serious, muttered to himself. The demons, whose movements had been disrupted by the effects of the magic jammer, were starting to revert to magical energy and being absorbed by the gate. As this happened, a massive number of monsters began to emerge. It seemed that this horde of monsters was also spilling into the other world.  

Victor wondered if they had enough people here to handle this overwhelming number of enemies.  

As he pondered, another barrier formed, covering the already magic-jammer-affected area surrounding the ancient ruins.  

“The time has come, O gods of the heavens. Let the sound resonate across the world. Cleanse all injustice and evil, and fill this land with the power of peace.”  

The holy garment worn by the saintess—one of the most powerful divine robes—began to glow with a soft light, illuminating her.  

“Let the sound of the bells resonate through the world. Let the power to bring peace to the battlefield impose its restrictions in the name of justice.”  

Saintess Lucretia Alma prayed, her power infused with divine magic. This was the same ability she had used during the mock battle between Jez and King Ramses, but this time Lucretia was pouring even more strength into it.  

“Power blessed by the gods, answer my voice and let the bells of justice ring. Conceptual Armament, Pax Proelium, activate. Grant us peace!”  

The demons that had been converting into magical energy and being drawn into the gate began to slow down due to Lucretia’s intervention.  

The conceptual armament, Pax Proelium, has the ability to disrupt any magical energy fusion outside its own faction. Essentially, it’s like a more advanced version of a magic jammer, and Lucretia used it here.  

“Everyone, let’s clear the path quickly!!!”

As Lucretia activated her conceptual armament, she charged forward, leading Edelmar and the Holy Knights. With the demons now sluggish, they kicked them aside in a spectacular assault.
