[Author’s Afterword]
Hello everyone, this is Cape.
Thank you for always reading my work, “When I was working as a civil servant, I was found out to be a muscle-brained knight by the princess knight and got sent to the front lines.”
From Episode 92 to Episode 131, the story amounted to about 100,000 characters, which is equivalent to a full novel, so I’ve decided to conclude Part 3 here. Part 4 will follow soon, so please continue to enjoy it.
I’m actually quite surprised myself, but since I started this series on January 30, 2024, the total word count has already reached the equivalent of three volumes (337,970 characters). Completing three books in just five months feels like a pretty good pace, don’t you think? (Self-praise, I know.)
I owe it all to you, my readers, for making it this far. Your hearts and comments always motivate me. Please continue to leave your funny remarks!
For Part 3, I tried something new—introducing multiple characters and locations through parallel perspectives that all come together in the end. I also included a bit of a crossover with my previous work, “A Dungeon Technology Research Institute Employee Began Streaming as a Side Job to Test His Self-Made Romantic Weapons,” where the protagonist made an appearance.
Looking back, there are a few things in Part 3 that I feel could have been developed further, and some plot points I struggled with. But overall, I’m satisfied with how it concluded, so I’ll leave it at that, haha.
Now, Part 4 will be a flashback arc!
The situation begins to move, thanks to Erin’s bold actions. But first, I want to revisit the question: Why did Erin fall in love with Jez in the first place?
Look forward to the youthful days at the Royal Academy, featuring teenage Jez, Erin, Victor, and Miriam!

Character Introduction as of Part 3
[Main Characters]
Jez Norman
Our protagonist. In Part 3, he has the appearance of a foreign corporate employee more than a civil official. Throughout Part 3, he remained overshadowed by Victor. And by the end, Erin stole all the spotlight. …He’s supposed to be the protagonist, but isn’t he more of a heroine at this point?
René Tashman
Though she had a minimal presence in Part 2, Part 3 was expected to feature 100,000 words dedicated to René the princess! But in the end, Erin stole all the glory. Thrown into the Earth world, she adapted extraordinarily well, blending into the local life so thoroughly that she and Jez started living together? They lived like a couple who had been together for 10 years. When René shared this with Lilly, Lilly crumbled in despair. But that’s a story for another time.
Erin Saylor
The woman who took all the best parts of the story. Surprisingly, she has a more manly personality than expected, which even shocked the author. Her character took on a life of its own. Throughout Part 3, she demonstrated impressive leadership skills, making it clear that her abilities surpass that of a mere knight. Will Part 4 finally give us a glimpse of the past between Jez and Erin?
Victor Alchemis
In Part 3, he effectively became the de facto protagonist. His character also seemed to act on its own, much to the author’s surprise. And what’s the deal with “Pepo”? That name sounds ridiculous. Whether or not his pseudo-divine artifact’s name originated from Pepo is still under investigation.
Miriam Stonewell
Victor’s overseer. An academic prodigy from the academy, she attended the Royal Academy alongside Jez, Erin, and Victor. She is in charge of researching and developing the Magic Jammer, personally commissioned by King Ramses as a classified project.

Alpha
First appeared in Episode 112. She is Kō’s secretary. Though she didn’t have much screen time in this work, she is the heroine of “A Dungeon Technology Research Institute Employee Began Streaming as a Side Job to Test His Self-Made Romantic Weapons.”
Takahashi Yuto
First appeared in Episode 94. A member of the Special Operations Group stationed at the Tachikawa Garrison of the Dungeon Bureau. He led a 10-man forward reconnaissance team, making him the first to arrive at the Okutama Dungeon. He is a lower-level explorer and the ace of his unit.

Tanaka Ryosuke
First appeared in Episode 94. Another subordinate of Takahashi. He picked up a dragon scale and is considered a budding “flag architect” in training.
Himuro Rio
First appeared in Episode 106. An 18-year-old attending Explorer School. She creates and shares videos aimed at young female explorers, focusing on explorer fashion, sweat-proof makeup for physical activities, and her experiences in school lectures. The school even supports her content as part of their PR efforts. With over 100,000 subscribers, she has gained some fame. However, despite creating content for explorers, she’s still an apprentice due to age restrictions, as she’s attending Explorer School. Her claim to fame within the story is being the one who prompted Jez to say, “I don’t dislike that kind of resolve,” and “It’s okay now. I’ll protect you.” Unfortunately, she is a bit down after Jez returned to the other world without them meeting again.
Takajo Shuichi
First appeared in Episode 119. The Prime Minister of Japan. He also makes an appearance from “A Dungeon Technology Research Institute Employee Began Streaming as a Side Job to Test His Self-Made Romantic Weapons.”

[Divina Church]
Lucretia Alma
The Saint. Throughout Part 3, she lived up to her title as a saint. However, at the very end, after witnessing Erin’s display firsthand, she became stern and serious. “…Sir Norman? When you return to the capital, please come to the Grand Cathedral alone.”
Edelmar Solennis
The Archbishop. He served as the vice-captain of the temporary unit led by Erin.
Alexia Grey
First appeared in Episode 94. She is the captain of the Holy Knights. Only her name was mentioned. The Holy Knights mainly serve as bodyguards for the saint, and her unit, particularly those attached to Lucretia. She functions almost as her personal guard.
Katrina Rivera
First appeared in Episode 94. The vice-captain of the Holy Knights. Again, only her name is mentioned. She serves the same role as Alexia.

[Other Characters]
Raja Raj
First appeared in Episode 117. The commander of the 5th Legion and the right-hand man of Crown Prince Leo. He is 30 years old and in the same generation as Maria Valenti. He is a prodigy who became a legion commander in his late 20s based purely on skill. He also attended the Royal Academy and knew Jez, who was four years his junior, during their school days.
Lilly Johnson
Barely had any screen time in Part 3. Will she remain absent in Part 4 too…!?
Jamil Al-Faz
He served as the vice-captain of the temporary unit led by Erin. The Al-Faz unit proves its usefulness once again during this kind of mission. In the final moments, Jamil pulled off a great rescue by lifting Jez and Erin with a rope.
Fatima Kazumi
Only her name appeared in Part 3. She played a behind-the-scenes role, leading the advance unit under Erin’s command. Her presence made a significant difference in the speed of the march.
Vicpo
Pepo!
The Alchemist in a Cocoon
The name sounds too catchy, and both Victor and the author seem to have taken a liking to it. It’s one of Victor’s usernames.
(Note: This one “The Alchemist in a Cocoon” has a few different possible translations. But, this one I came up with myself since he was being bound by the demons while texting on the stream. One of the possible translation is indeed “The Bound Alchemist”, but in my imagination he was bound like a worm with only its head showing and it’s funnier to think about. Hence, the “cocoon”)

[City Names]
Alden

Novalis
A fortress city at the frontlines of the eastern front, where the 5th Legion is stationed.

[Conceptual Armaments]
Conceptual Armament – When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do: Economic Animal
First appeared in Episode 99. Its effect: each time the user performs an action that aligns with the local beliefs or customs, the power of the next attack doubles. One action yields 2x power, two actions yield 4x, three actions yield 8x, and four actions yield 16x, exponentially increasing the attack strength.
Conceptual Armament – From the New World: Ame-no-murakumo
First appeared in Episode 100. By combining Vicpo, a smartphone, and a pen, a golden sword emerges. …Even when writing this out, I still don’t quite understand it myself.
Conceptual Armor Fusion Secret Art – Bubble Burst: Kusanagi no Tsurugi
First appeared in Episode 111. This technique is performed by Jez and René after they equip the Economic Animal conceptual armament and drink the special potion Re-Gain. They used it to defeat the mythical Yamata no Orochi.
Conceptual Armament – Seek Happiness Within Peace: Maxwell’s Demon
First appeared in Episode 127. A reality-interfering conceptual armament. It forcibly makes physically impossible phenomena happen within a single dimension by balancing them with occurrences in another dimension.
Conceptual Armament – The Bell of Justice Rings: Pax Proelium
Reappeared in Episode 129. First introduced in Part 2, it is the conceptual armament used by Saint Lucretia Alma. Its ability disrupts the magical cohesion of any forces outside her own. It’s like an upgraded version of the Magic Jammer.

[Magic]
Strategic-Class Tenth Tier Flame Magic: Azure Dragon Sovereign
First appeared in Episode 109. A flame magic powerful enough to defeat a Red Dragon, which is known to have strong fire resistance. The user’s attire transforms into a luxurious dress, and six flame wings unfold.
Unique Magic: Deus Ex Machina
First appeared in Episode 128. It’s been slightly tuned to fit better with this story compared to its portrayal in “A Dungeon Technology Research Institute Employee Began Streaming as a Side Job to Test His Self-Made Romantic Weapons.” When activated, a highly mechanized near-future city appears, along with an array of mechanized weapons as far as the eye can see. Drones of every conceivable size, humanoid support equipment, self-propelled gun turrets, unmanned flying vehicles, and robots towering over 20 meters tall—these weapons all come to life and annihilate the enemy.
Holy Magic: You Are Here – Timaeus
First appeared in Episode 130. This is a type of holy magic used by the saint. It enhances the individual’s presence in the world, amplifying their magical and combat abilities. It is one of the highest-level support spells.
World-Class Unique Magic: World Is Mine – Guardian of Time
First appeared in Episode 130. A fusion technique performed by Victor Alchemis and Misaki Kō . It combines Misaki’s unique magic Deus Ex Machina with Victor’s pseudo-artifact Perception / Possibility – Horus’ Eye. When these powers resonate across dimensional corridors, the dimensional gates are forcibly closed.
・ ・ ・
[Pseudo-Divine Artifacts]
Pseudo-Artifact: Perception / Possibility – Horus’ Eye
First appeared in Episode 115. It activates when both the left eye (Perception: Ujat’s Eye) and the right eye (Possibility: Ra’s Eye) are triggered simultaneously. The left eye gathers all information about the world, while the right eye uses that information to predict the future. Perception allows one to perceive the world, and Possibility calculates all the possibilities within it. Those who perceive everything and foresee all possibilities can stabilize the world and determine its outcome. This power is embodied by the act of observation. “Pe-Po” comes from the wordplay of this ability.

[Miscellaneous]
Re:Gain
First appeared in Episode 111. Listen carefully—it’s Re:Gain! Following Seven-Bull, this was one of the trump cards prepared by the alchemist.
Magic Jammer
First appeared in Episode 125. Invented by Miriam Stonewell. This magical tool, developed in utmost secrecy, is a product of her extraordinary talents as one of the academy’s top researchers. The tool has a simple but incredibly powerful effect: by interfering with a specific individual’s magic waves, it disrupts the flow of magic particles, rendering the target unable to use magic.
