When I was working as a civil servant, I was found out to be a muscle-brained knight by the princess knight and got sent to the front lines - Episode 200
Episode 200
A civil servant descended from the sky.
A civil servant, draped in official robes and wearing the armband of a “diplomat,” calmly and rationally called for a ceasefire, a behavior befitting his position. Â
Lucius Agrippa, who commanded the Holy Levia Knights of the Calidius faction, and Pope Seraphina XIII, who led the Holy Lucius Knights of the Lorentzi faction, halted their battle—if only temporarily—due to the sudden appearance of Jez Norman.
However— Â
“All forces!! Before us stands Jez Norman, enemy of the gods!! Capture him!! You may kill him if necessary!!!” Â
Without hesitation, Archbishop Lucius Agrippa ordered his troops to attack the unarmed diplomatic envoy. Yet, his soldiers hesitated to harm a defenseless civil servant. The soldiers of the Holy Levia Knights also served as clergy, and it was naturally difficult for them to strike someone who bore no arms. Â
The man before them, Jez Norman, had apparently been declared an enemy of the gods. But wasn’t he just a mere civil servant? Â
His arrival was suspicious in many ways, but they assumed he had likely used some kind of magic. With this reasoning, one of the Holy Levia Knights that was closest to Jez took out a restraining rope and called out to him. Â
“Jez Norman, do not resist. You’ll likely have a chance to explain yourself. We won’t do you harm. First, allow us to restrain you.” Â
As the knights approached Jez and placed their hands on his shoulder, at that very moment— Â
Three knights were flung through the air, landing with a crash onto the ground. Â
The knights couldn’t immediately grasp what had happened, but soon realized they had been thrown. Â
“It’s forbidden to lay hands on an unarmed envoy, you know? Didn’t you learn that?” Â
The man who had tossed them aside remained nonchalant, straightening his official robes. Seeing this, the fallen knights understood—this man was no ordinary person. Â
They rose from the ground, switched tactics, and chose to attack instead of capture. The three knights struck at Jez simultaneously, each attacking with perfect timing, but— Â
In a single breath, Jez countered the three knights with his fists. The knights crumpled to the ground. Â
In the midst of an army of 20,000 soldiers from both sides, an unarmed civil servant had just knocked out three robust holy knights in an instant. The scene was so out of place that the battlefield fell silent.
“Don’t just stand there!! Attack all at once!!!” Â
Lucius Agrippa’s sharp order brought everyone back to their senses, and the troops rushed at the civil servant. Hundreds of knights surrounded Jez from all directions, launching magical attacks and then charging with their swords raised.
Deflecting Spin
Jez, his hands enhanced with powerful body reinforcement magic, evaded, parried, and deflected every magical attack with his bare hands. He danced nimbly between the knights’ sword strikes, the hem of his robe fluttering gracefully. As he passed by them, he delivered blows to their jaws and hand-chops to their temples, rendering them unconscious. Â
In just a few minutes, the battlefield filled with the sounds of magical explosions, battle cries, and the clash of metal weapons. Â
When the noise finally subsided, the civil servant stood tall in the center of the crater, having neutralized around three hundred soldiers.
With a casual demeanor, he strolled out of the crater and stood alone before Lucius Agrippa’s army of 10,000. Â
“This is your final warning. Will you not agree to a ceasefire?” Â
The civil servant, who had already incapacitated about 300 soldiers, still retained his calm and detached attitude. Groans could be heard from the knights in the crater, but it appeared that Jez had not killed a single person. Was he trying to show that he truly came to broker peace?
Standing alone before an army of 10,000, the civil servant exuded an overwhelming presence. What kind of joke was this? Â
Though Lucius had heard the reports, seeing the overwhelming strength of this so-called diplomat in person was unnerving. Nonetheless, he gave his command. Â
“Do not falter! The enemy is but one man!! Defeat this god’s enemy!!” Â
At Lucius’ command, the Holy Levia Knights launched another magical assault. Jez dodged their attacks by the narrowest margins. Realizing that his actions would now be considered self-defense, Jez prepared to retaliate.
In a halfway state of engagement, there might be trouble later from those who complain about his response. Therefore, Jez maintained his unarmed stance and continued to advocate for a ceasefire alone. But given the circumstances, this should be enough.
Placing his hand on the headset, he said, Â
“It’s unfortunate, Archbishop Lucius. …Everyone, can you hear me? The ceasefire negotiations have failed. We are currently under attack. From now on, we will begin defensive actions and military intervention according to international law. However, avoid killing as much as possible. Excessive killing in an internal conflict makes the post-war situation very difficult.” Â
While avoiding attacks and charging into the army of 10,000, Jez spoke to the Ark Mandjet/Mesektet soaring through the sky. Â
When he finally reached the front lines and swung his fists with full force, a section of the enemy ranks exploded. Several holy knights were sent flying into the air. Â
“Engagement rules cleared. By the authority of the Legion Commander, all weapons are approved for use. Full firepower release permitted! Now, the unveiling of the 11th Legion!! All forces, deploy!!” Â
As Jez’s command echoed across the battlefield, high above— Â
“Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! Crawling creatures! The sky you look up to is the gateway to hell! Blow away, shatter, and vanish without a trace!!!!!!!! All firepower, release—the beginning of the feast of destruction!!!!!!!! Hya-ha-ha!!!!” Â
The mad alchemist was controlling the Ark Mandjet/Mesektet in a state of complete exhilaration. He made the massive ship gleam in the sunlight as it dove steeply, conducting airstrikes around the enemy forces to induce chaos. Â
“Jez and Alchemis are as reckless as ever… Niemi Squad, are you ready? Ida Niemi, catapult launch preparations complete, system all green. Target acquired, catapult launch. Let’s go!”Â
Â
“Halvorsen Squad, are you ready? System activation complete. Output and system all functioning normally. Target locked, assault course set. Ole Halvorsen, let’s go!!” Â
Simultaneously, two hundred soldiers from Niemi Squad and Halvorsen Squad were launched intermittently from two catapults, soaring through the sky. Â
“…The northern guys are using catapults normally, but don’t try to imitate them, okay? We’ll do things our way. Al-Faz Unit, all personnel, take your positions. Deployment preparations complete, beginning airborne descent sequence.” Â
Jamil Al-Faz, leading as usual, commanded his team from a storage area close to the ship’s bottom. The hatch opened, and a strong gust of wind blew in. Â
“Magic bikes, full throttle on all engines! Descent altitude 1000 meters, deceleration rate check complete. Gravity field stabilization, aerial braking systems, all green. Wind speed, airflow measurement, all systems operating normally. …All units, lock onto target coordinates, landing deviation within acceptable range.” Â
Al-Faz Unit started their engines simultaneously inside the ship. Â
“Final confirmation complete, don’t mistake descent speed and angle! All knights, ready? …Al-Faz Unit, let’s go! Descent, descent, descent!!!!” Â
From the opening near the ship’s bottom, a hundred knights mounted on magic bikes began their airborne descent in unison.
“…Lucius. I don’t know what drives you, but you must have your own sense of justice. However, justice always belongs to the strong. …There’s no need for further words. Let’s discuss this thoroughly.” Â
Archbishop Edelmar, who muttered this, carried a large, crude iron staff on his shoulder. He then leapt to the ground with a hundred men from Edelmar’s squad from the right flank deck. Â
“We will settle our homeland’s failures ourselves. Everyone ready? …Then, let us fight in the name of the gods. Without fear before the enemy, with the proud faith of Divina in our hearts. Our swords will never break due to our sacred mission. …May the gods’ blessing be upon us. Deploy!” Â
From the left flank deck, Saint Lucretia Alma and her guard of a hundred knights soared into the sky.
A diplomat charging head-on against an army of 10,000. A 300-meter white giant ship descending from the sky, performing bombing runs. Two hundred northern muscle-bound soldiers launched from catapults, painting the sky. A hundred knights on magic bikes deploying parachutes for an airborne descent. And two hundred more led by the Saint and Archbishop, descending to the ground. Â
The battlefield, inundated with 500 warriors wishing for peace falling like rain from the sky, was engulfed in unprecedented chaos. Â

“Victor-senpai!? Look forward, look forward!? We’re really going to fall!!” Â
On the bridge of the Ark Mandjet/Mesektet, which was conducting a dive bombing attack, the alchemist suddenly muttered incomprehensible lines while looking in a completely different direction from the pilot’s seat. Meanwhile, Cynthia, acting as the admiral’s deputy on the bridge, clung to the admiral’s seat. She was shouting with tears in her eyes. Â
This is an otherworldly reincarnation fantasy where 500 muscle-bound warriors fall from the sky. It’s “When I was working as a civil servant, I was found out to be a muscle-brained knight by the princess knight and got sent to the front lines.” Â
…Even the author doesn’t know why it turned out this way.Â
