Transmigrating into the Rival's Fanfiction - Chapter 2
When Sheng Mingluo woke up again, she was no longer in the hotel. She reached out, groping around the bed, but couldn’t find her phone.
This bed was absurdly large, incredibly soft, and strangely warm. As her fingers moved forward, they brushed against something smooth and slippery.
The texture was delicate and smooth—this… this felt like a human collarbone! Sheng Mingluo was instantly terrified. She opened her eyes to find a stunningly beautiful woman lying beside her, covered by a blanket. Her dark hair was slightly curled, and her eyes were gently closed.
This… this this this! Isn’t that Qin Zhi? What’s she doing in my bed?
Damn it, am I still dreaming? It’s all because I read too much trashy romance yesterday! Now my head’s full of this stuff, even my dreams are filled with it!
This is outrageous!
Sheng Mingluo pinched her arm hard, the pain bringing tears to her eyes. She couldn’t help but let out a soft hiss.
This… how can this be real?
I need to pinch myself again!
The pain surged again, pushing Sheng Mingluo to the brink of despair. This wasn’t the hotel room she’d fallen asleep in last night. When had she been brought here?
This is beyond absurd, right?
Her pale arm immediately reddened from her pinching. Only then did Sheng Mingluo realize her body ached all over, as if she’d been run over by a car.
And her skin felt sticky and clammy.
Her hand drifted downward…Â Damn it! She really wasn’t wearing anything.
“Greetings, esteemed Host! Welcome to the Fan Girl CP Wish System! I am Machine No. 48!”
“It’s my pleasure to serve you—welcome to Chapter 1 of The Mad Rival Dominantly Falls in Love with Me!”
A mechanical voice, cold and programmed, boomed in her ears, nearly triggering a panic attack. Sheng Mingluo clapped her hands over her ears.
“This is a dream! This is a dream! This is a dream!”
“I regret to inform you, esteemed Host, that this is not a dream. Your CP fans have long suffered from your lack of romantic content! They made a wish! Complete all the story arcs to return to the real world!”
The voice not only persisted but grew louder.
Lao Tie, are you out of your mind? We’re just a wildcat CP! Who on earth is even shipping this impossible pair? I demand to know—who’s shipping us? And why are you dragging me into this?! Sheng Mingluo raged inwardly.
Darling~ This is the resentment of your CP fans, not my fault. Please don’t take it out on the System~
Sheng Mingluo gritted her teeth in fury. Just then, the person beside her opened their eyes. Qin Zhi’s gaze locked directly onto her, making Sheng Mingluo involuntarily swallow hard.
Could she… could she really be Qin Zhi?
That I wouldn’t know, Host. This is a world created by your CP fans’ wishes. The System merely follows protocol, supervising you to prevent any slacking!
Sheng Mingluo didn’t hear another word the System said. She unconsciously tugged the white blanket over herself, her body instinctively retreating backward.
She and Qin Zhi weren’t exactly strangers—they were merely colleagues at the same company. Though they saw each other often, they weren’t particularly close. Moreover, when Qin Zhi got busy, she’d often disappear from the office for half a year at a time.
“Stop pulling…”
A cold, indifferent voice cut through the air, still the familiar tone. Qin Zhi gripped the blanket in front of her, preventing it from being yanked away, and glared coldly at Sheng Mingluo.
“Oh, oh, okay,” Sheng Mingluo stammered, awkwardly releasing her death grip on the blanket. She glanced deliberately at Qin Zhi’s state, wondering if she was as naked as she was.
The next moment, Qin Zhi threw back the blanket and stood up. Her dark lashes lowered, her smooth back and butterfly bones gleaming like white porcelain. Sheng Mingluo’s face flushed crimson, and she immediately buried her head under the blanket.
Don’t look at what you shouldn’t see! Don’t look at what you shouldn’t see!
But her figure is actually quite… good, Sheng Mingluo’s thoughts couldn’t help but wander.
Qin Zhi turned her back to Sheng Mingluo, picked up her discarded clothes from the floor, and tossed them into the bathroom’s laundry basket.
Sighing wearily, Qin Zhi turned on the shower, intending to wash off the stickiness clinging to her skin.
Her mind kept replaying the System’s earlier words:
CP, fan fiction.
What is all this?
The hot water cascading over her body gradually cleared her groggy mind, filling the bathroom with steamy mist.
Sheng Mingluo gazed at the hazy silhouette, her heart pounding wildly. Her entire body began to tremble as she gently slapped herself to break free from the seductive dream.
She seemed to recall fragments of the previous night… Weren’t the lines and plot exactly the same as the fan fiction she had read?
Wait a minute, what did the System just say?
The Mad Rival Dominantly Falls in Love with Me?!
Her hand trembled slightly as she unlocked her phone and checked the date. It was indeed identical to the fan fiction’s timeline: June 2023.
Lifting the covers, she wished she hadn’t. The sight nearly made her faint: her neck and collarbone were covered in a dense network of hickeys.
Upon closer reflection, she remembered seeing similar marks on Qin Zhi’s body earlier. This is terrifying! What kind of twisted fantasies do these CP fans have in their heads?!
Sheng Mingluo carefully examined her phone. Fortunately, the author’s setting was a parallel world similar to her own, without any particularly outlandish elements. Otherwise, Sheng Mingluo couldn’t even imagine whether Qin Zhi might possess some kind of pheromones or something equally absurd.
Struggling to sit up in bed, Sheng Mingluo felt every muscle in her body ache. Her brow furrowed—her legs were truly sore, beyond anything she had ever experienced.
Trembling, she squatted down to pick up her clothes. Sheng Mingluo stared at the torn shirt, its fabric fluttering like fallen leaves. It was clearly ripped deliberately, and messy lipstick stains marred the fabric.
Fvck!
She wanted to curse aloud. Author, come out here! Do you think I won’t chop you into pieces and feed you to the dogs?!
After tidying up the clothes, Sheng Mingluo had no desire to speak. Even if the shirt hadn’t been torn, wearing it would have been no different from wearing nothing at all…
Someone save me! I’m utterly desperate right now.
She couldn’t just wander around naked. With no other choice, Sheng Mingluo draped the quilt over herself and sat on the bed, trapped.
She wanted to run, but without clothes, how could she escape through the door?
Biting her finger, Sheng Mingluo considered calling for help on her phone. But then she glanced down at the marks on her neck and body.
Forget it… Characters in novels can act out of character, but I can’t just throw away my dignity.
This was her final line.
Maybe she could wait for Qin Zhi to come out and ask if there was a bathrobe inside. A towel would do too—anything to wrap herself in.
