- When the Possessive Omega Fell for Me
- Chapter 1 - If You Wish to See Me, Come Find Me Here.
My head hurts so much.
I need to wake up. Why can’t I wake up?
A girl with exquisite bone structure, delicate features, and a face like an ink painting lay curled up on what was clearly a very expensive bed. Her brows were tightly furrowed.
For some reason, she couldn’t open her eyes. She felt trapped by a persistent, dull ache that dragged her deeper into a chaotic dream.
Flickering memories passed through her mind. She could almost smell rain in the air.
Then she saw a stunning woman.
The woman had soft, layered ash-gray curls flowing down her back, a straight nose, and finely arched brows. Her eyes were slightly upturned at the corners and full of charm. Every glance and every smile was effortlessly captivating.
Even standing casually, she radiated beauty tinged with aloofness. There was a faint, mischievous smile on her lips that made her unforgettable.
She looked breathtaking. Her simple white blouse and black A-line skirt only made her figure stand out more.
There was something playful in her presence, and something undeniably seductive too. It felt like unpredictability and warmth existed together in her. She looked like someone who would toy with others, yet something about her collar left slightly open and her sleeves rolled up made her seem strangely welcoming. It drew people in, like the perfect trap set by a skilled hunter.
Is that… Yu Miao?
Is it really Yu Miao?
Still half-asleep, Yi Jing felt a moment of confusion, then a sudden flutter in her chest.
Oh no. I think I like her.
Before she could remember when or where she had met this woman, slender hands gently cupped her face.
Dreams were always hazy, but the sensation of lips brushing hers felt soft and real.
Yi Jing’s eyes flew open. The beautiful face she had just been admiring was suddenly so close.
What?
She hadn’t expected the woman she had just been looking at to suddenly kiss her. Shock and a strange sense of delight tangled together, making her freeze. She couldn’t move away.
“Did you… come to see me?”
What?
“No, I…”
The kiss ended quickly. The woman asked the question as if she had been waiting a long time.
Yi Jing wanted to say no, but she couldn’t even remember why she was here. No answer came to her.
The woman seemed to have already decided what the answer was. She let out a soft laugh, looking at Yi Jing with gentle affection.
“I knew you wouldn’t abandon me.”
“But…”
Yi Jing wanted to respond but held her words back.
Some strange instinct told her that she really wouldn’t leave this woman. She also had a deep feeling that some kind of danger was coming. She needed to warn her. She needed to tell her to run.
She wanted to speak. She needed to. But her voice wouldn’t come out.
The urgency grew stronger inside her, but Yi Jing remained silent. The feeling of danger pressed down harder and harder, like disaster was about to strike at any moment.
She felt completely helpless, like someone watching everything fall apart and unable to stop it. Still lying curled up in the bed, Yi Jing’s frown deepened. Her hand twitched beside her, a sign of her deep unease.
“You…”
The sleeping Yi Jing mumbled something softly in her dream.
Leave quickly.
Don’t stay here. Go now.
Maybe because of that desperation, the dream began to fall apart.
The bright white world behind Yu Miao started to crack and peel away. Behind it was only darkness, an endless hollow void.
Panic filled Yi Jing’s chest.
She wanted the woman to leave. She wanted her to run. But the black cracks were already spreading rapidly beneath Yu Miao’s feet.
“No!”
Yi Jing watched helplessly as Yu Miao stumbled. Her body floated weightlessly for a moment before falling into the darkness.
Yi Jing lunged forward, stretching her hand toward her, but she only brushed her fingers.
In that fleeting second, countless black hands reached out from the void and grabbed at Yu Miao.
Yi Jing’s breath caught in her throat.
Her ash-gray curls floated in the air as her slender figure dropped quickly.
Don’t do this.
Yi Jing couldn’t speak. She screamed inside, but no sound came out. Her heart felt like it had been gripped tightly, the pain leaving her breathless. That unforgettable figure disappeared into the dark, but as she fell, her voice echoed clearly in Yi Jing’s mind.
“Don’t be sad. If you want to see me, come find me here.”
“Wait!”
Yi Jing jolted awake, sitting straight up in bed.
The dream was completely gone.
She was back in reality. Sitting on the bed, she was panting, her heart racing. Slowly, her thoughts began to calm down.
Oh… it was just a dream.
It wasn’t real.
It had just been a yuri web novel she had read yesterday during her free time. Yu Miao was the main character in that story.
Yi Jing let out a long breath of relief.
Even though it was supposed to be a romance, the story had been far from sweet. It was full of manipulation and multiple relationships. Most of the characters were downright unhinged. The female leads all took turns tormenting Yu Miao. Not a single one of them was normal. It was like a gathering of lunatics.
If she hadn’t been so drawn to Yu Miao, Yi Jing would have stopped reading long ago.
Yu Miao was the only one she truly felt sorry for. Yi Jing wished she could return to the way she had been before everything went wrong. She wanted her to be free, bright, and untouched by those terrible people.
The author had better give Yu Miao a happy ending. If not, Yi Jing wouldn’t hesitate to use those “modding tools” to rewrite all the parts she hated.
She rolled over, planning to grab her phone and check the latest chapter. But when she raised her arm, something stopped her. Her clothes didn’t move the way they should have.
What?
The stiff fabric clung tightly around her body like a perfectly tailored suit.
Yi Jing froze and looked down. She was wearing a pitch-black uniform.
What was this?
Where did it come from?
The fabric was stiff and unfamiliar. Hadn’t she just come home from a business meeting with her aunt and gone to bed? Why was she dressed like this?
What was going on?
She slowly raised her arm and examined the uniform carefully.
It didn’t belong to any group she knew, but it looked incredibly official. The cuffs had uneven gold embroidery, and there was even a serial number stitched into the inner collar, maybe as an anti-counterfeit mark. The epaulets and insignia were all there, with a decorative tassel running from her shoulder across her chest. On the left side of the chest was an elaborate emblem, like something from a government agency or private organization.
Hmm…
The tailoring was precise, and the fabric was clearly high-end. If it didn’t cling to her figure so snugly, Yi Jing might have thought it was the real deal.
Was this a cosplay outfit?
From some new anime?
Had she ordered it and forgotten about it, then fallen asleep wearing it?
That didn’t sound right. No matter how careless she could be, she would never fall asleep in costume.
Frowning, she sat up, intending to look around the room. That’s when she noticed something else even stranger.
She had gone to bed wearing shoes.
She was wearing shoes. Real leather ankle boots, polished and spotless.
Even if they were clean, this was completely unacceptable.
With a grim look, Yi Jing got out of bed and turned to check her surroundings.
And that’s when her heart dropped. The side of the bed was facing a large, floor-to-ceiling window.
The curtains weren’t fully drawn.
The view outside was vast, unfamiliar, and overwhelming.
The curtains, though made of seemingly lightweight fabric, were surprisingly effective at blocking light. They pooled extravagantly on the floor, and where they hung slightly open, a narrow beam of light filtered through, casting a faint yet dazzling shimmer across the window.
Yi Jing almost wanted to blame that beam of refracted light.
Maybe it was that exact shimmer that caused her to misjudge what she was seeing outside.
A massive, ring-shaped track hovered in the sky, floating like an enormous suspended serpent. It cut across the view so starkly that it looked as though it had split the sky in two. The upper half of the sky remained bright and vivid, painted in clear shades of blue with wispy clouds drifting slowly.
The lower half of the sky appeared to merge seamlessly with the earth beneath the track. There, she saw lush greenery that looked like an untouched mountain forest. Within that green expanse stood massive structures that resembled grand castles or luxurious manors, arranged across the terrain like something out of a fantasy painting. Long, covered walkways connected the buildings, creating a single, harmonious whole.
Multiple pathways branched out from various angles, weaving the entire estate together.
Yi Jing stared in silence.
What was this?
Was she still dreaming?
Strange, futuristic vehicles glided along the floating track one after another, destroying any lingering hope that this might be an illusion or dream logic.
Unless she was completely mistaken, this place looked like someone’s private estate.
Yi Jing’s expression became even more puzzled.
Her family was indeed wealthy, but this level of luxury and technological advancement was beyond anything she had ever seen.
What was that track supposed to be? As far as she knew, even the richest people in the country would not have the means to install something like this on private property. This was far beyond normal.
What kind of madness was this?
Yi Jing, who usually handled surprises with ease and often had energy to spare for figuring out ways to slack off, finally admitted that something was truly, deeply wrong.
Was this a dream?
It might be. But if it was, she figured she might as well figure out what kind of dream it was.
She turned around and stepped further into the spacious bedroom. In the walk-in closet, which stood wide open, she caught sight of her reflection in a full-length mirror.
The face looking back was still hers. She looked young, with sharply defined bone structure and thick eyebrows that gave her an unapproachable air when she wasn’t smiling.
Her appearance hadn’t changed much, except that her hair was much shorter now.
She used to keep her hair at a medium length. When she worked, she would tie it up to look professional. Off the clock, she let it go messy and unstyled.
Now that unruly hair had been cut into a sleek, precise bob that just grazed her jawline. It paired strangely well with her sharp facial features and the stiff uniform she was wearing. She was tall and slim to begin with, and the crisp tailoring of the dark uniform cinched at the waist, elongating her figure until she looked almost unreal. The natural severity in her expression balanced out her youthful face, giving her the appearance of someone young but clearly authoritative.
She genuinely looked like a military officer.
It was baffling. What exactly was going on?
Even in a dream, shouldn’t there be limits?
Yi Jing turned back toward the window to glance again at the floating track. The technology appeared advanced. The way it operated made sense. The way wealth seemed to be concentrated and monopolized definitely felt exaggerated, but the general standard of living was still unclear.
So where was this place?
Frowning, she returned to the bedside, a faint sense of physical unfamiliarity nagging at her.
Her body felt different somehow.
First, she seemed stronger. She had exercised occasionally before, but it had always been half-hearted and inconsistent. This time, she could feel real core strength in her body.
Second, she might have grown a bit taller. Not much, but her field of vision had subtly changed.
And lastly, she looked much more… composed.
Yi Jing sighed as she looked back at herself in the mirror.
Who would have thought she could ever look this respectable? Scratch that—if her mother saw her like this, she might cry with joy and call her the child of her dreams. Her parents had always complained that she was too lazy, to the point they sent her to her aunt’s place hoping it would shape her up.
Alright, enough of that. She was getting distracted.
But someone who looked this serious and put together would never just collapse on a bed in full uniform, right?
Even she, who was often too lazy to bother with things, wouldn’t go to sleep wearing shoes. And this outfit clearly wasn’t everyday clothing. It was formal, made for official duties.
That made it even more confusing.
Nobody would lie down in something like this to sleep.
Yi Jing walked back to the bed and began to suspect that whoever this version of her was, she might have been about to leave for somewhere important and then suddenly collapsed.
It was the only explanation for why she had woken up lying in bed while fully dressed and still wearing boots.
Her usual habit of scanning her environment for clues suddenly paid off. On the uniquely shaped bedside table, she noticed a small, plain black metal card that caught the light.
Her eyes lit up.
What was this? A business card?
Maybe it would give her some answers.
She picked up the card eagerly and opened it. Inside was an ID photo of someone who looked exactly like her.
The woman in the photo was wearing the same stiff black uniform, complete with a matching cap. Her youthful face was blank, but her eyes were sharp and full of purpose. She looked like someone who had just stepped into a position of power.
So serious.
Yi Jing blinked with mixed emotions before continuing to read the information printed next to the photo.
Name: Yi Jing.
Same name. That was interesting.
Was this some kind of parallel world?
Or could it be that she had always belonged to this world, and everything she remembered, the comfortable life, the boredom, the easy days as a second-generation rich kid was actually just a dream?
It was hard to say.
Her thoughts began to spiral as she considered the possibilities. Eventually, she took a deep breath and focused on reading the next line.
Gender: Alpha (Female)
Yi Jing paused.
Wait, what?
Alpha?
What was that doing there?
Wasn’t ABO just a fictional setting from novels and web comics? How did it end up on a real identification card?
Is this supposed to be normal here?
Without thinking, she touched the back of her neck. If she was an alpha, did that mean there was some sort of gland or marking there?
And if she liked women and fell for another alpha, would she be considered gay?
Well, not much would change. She already was.
Never mind.
She moved on to the next item.
Identity Code: #……#
It was a long string of characters, completely unreadable. Just looking at it made her eyes feel tired. But when she tilted the card under the light, she noticed faint, shifting patterns across the surface.
It looked like there was a hidden security feature built into the material. Very thorough.
Then she read the next line:
Rank and Title: Judicial Department, Thirteenth District Peacekeeper of Jing’an City, Eastern Tai Territory.
Eastern Tai Territory?
Yi Jing blinked.
This really didn’t look good.
Those names—Eastern Tai, Peacekeeper, Jing’an District—they weren’t entirely unfamiliar, but they felt like something straight out of a book. In fact, they sounded exactly like the worldbuilding from that chaotic, explicit novel she had read just last night.
Yi Jing stood frozen in place.
This was seriously not good.
