Whoever Is Tempted First Is A Dog - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
The taste of being consumed by desire is never pleasant; reason often bows to it at such times.
Many times, adults don’t need to say, “One, two, three, go!”
Her phone “dinged” with a message notification. Shen Mengke subconsciously looked up for her phone but was pulled back by the person who gripped her chin, turning her head.
The thin slip dress was easily removed. Her fair shoulders looked even whiter under the light. She bit Shen Mengke’s neck and warned in a low voice, “Concentrate.”
Outside, it was raining again. Under the whirring of the air conditioner, Shen Mengke heard a faint sound that wasn’t mechanical, seemingly accompanied by a rumble or two of thunder.
The wind blew the rain against the glass, adding a unique rhythm to the intimate atmosphere indoors.
It was August, scorching hot, the hottest time of the year.
Shen Mengke was already drenched in sweat. Even though the air conditioner was on, Shen Mengke was still terribly hot, as if she were the one who had been drugged.
She was pressed onto the bed, and passionate kisses landed on her brow.
The entire process wasn’t rough, but it certainly wasn’t gentle either. Her back ached from being knocked, sweat trickled into her eyes, then was washed out by tears. In a blur, she opened her eyes and looked at the beautiful woman before her.
Black hair fell onto Shen Mengke’s face, brushing her eyebrows, as if outlining or caressing them.
A hand traced her cheek, landed on her collarbone, and, carrying her arousal, moved across her entire body.
Ambiguous moans drifted in the air. Shen Mengke wrapped her arms around the other woman’s neck, pulled her down, and sought a kiss.
But in the throes of passion, the woman avoided Shen Mengke’s lips, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek instead.
Her heart trembled. Shen Mengke closed her eyes, buried her head in the woman’s embrace, and felt her frenzy inside her body.
The phone rang again, its gentle music blending with the rain, making it hard to distinguish between the phone ringtone and the sound of the rain outside.
This was the third time tonight. Shen Mengke frowned, about to reach for her phone to turn it off, but a hand beat her to it.
The hand was slender and long, with distinct knuckles, exceptionally fair under the light. An unknown liquid from the fingers brushed against the phone. The woman preemptively hung up the call for Shen Mengke. The room fell into momentary silence. Shen Mengke seemed to hear the noisy cicadas outside, mixed with the chaotic rain, churning her entire being, preventing her from remaining clear-headed and rational.
In just an instant, the sound of the downpour immediately broke through that barrier, intruding upon the two of them.
Shen Mengke frowned. She disliked others making decisions for her without permission, but now was not the time to act out, because that hand had landed on her lips, rubbing them, moistening them, igniting her desire once again.
Shen Mengke didn’t know this person. She had merely had a few drinks on this hot night, walked into the wrong room, and stumbled upon a scene where a drugged CEO, maintaining her purity, was chasing away a girl trying to climb into her bed. Unfortunately, this CEO couldn’t resist Shen Mengke’s temptation.
Shen Mengke was beautiful and had a good figure, one of the few in the entertainment industry whose acting skills were overshadowed by her appearance.
They were like wild beasts in heat, obliviously rolling onto the bed, kissing, biting, caressing. They did everything that could be done in bed. Everything happened so fast there was no time for regrets.
The taste of being consumed by desire is never pleasant; reason often bows to it at such times.
The night, accompanied by moans, quietly slipped away with time. They were like any ordinary night, after a downpour, welcoming dawn in peace.
A sudden ringing broke the unique tranquility of the morning. Shen Mengke frowned but didn’t open her eyes. She fumbled with her hand, hanging up the call.
Her companion, however, stirred. Shen Mengke felt the movement; the woman seemed to have sat up.
Shen Mengke was about to go back to sleep when her phone rang again. The hand she had just pulled back under the covers reached out once more. With her eyes still closed, she fumbled for her phone on the bed, only for it to be unexpectedly grasped in someone’s hand.
She suddenly opened her eyes, looking at the woman leaning over her, suspended above her.
The woman was unclothed, her body marked with spots from last night. Shen Mengke’s gaze slowly moved from her collarbone to her chest, where a prominent red handprint stood out.
For a moment, her heart felt as if it had been licked by fire. Shen Mengke lowered her eyes but hungrily licked her lips.
The woman seemed not to notice her unusual behavior. She calmly removed her hand from Shen Mengke’s, taking the constantly ringing phone from the bed.
“It rang so many times last night. If you don’t answer, they’ll probably keep calling,” she said.
Shen Mengke frowned, pushed the person in front of her, and snatched the noisy phone.
Still a bit blurry from just waking up, she stared at the phone for a while. After confirming it was an unknown number from Yuncheng, she hung up and blacklisted it immediately.
The world finally quieted down. The woman said nothing and went to the bathroom to shower.
Shen Mengke haphazardly tapped her phone a couple of times, her irritation clearly visible on her face.
She saw there were also unknown text messages from Yuncheng. She ignored them, deleting and blacklisting them immediately.
The sound of water in the bathroom caught Shen Mengke’s attention. She leaned against the headboard, her eyes lost in thought, staring at the bathroom door.
Last night, she was sober enough. The little alcohol wasn’t enough to make her completely lose control, and a one-night stand was perfectly normal for her. Life should be enjoyed to the fullest. She wasn’t willing to sleep alone, much less stay with just one person.
But the other person probably didn’t think that way.
Only when the woman’s figure appeared in her line of sight did Shen Mengke snap back to reality.
Shen Mengke looked at the fully dressed woman, a little surprised. Last night, the light was dim, and desire was surging; she had only seen that the woman looked good but hadn’t noticed her clothes—a white linen shirt and matching loose trousers, sleeves half-rolled up. She looked neat, clean-cut, and a bit innocent, like a college student, if one ignored her aggressive eyes.
She stood by the bed, picking up the scattered accessories one by one. A black beaded bracelet was wrapped several times around her right wrist, with a tassel still dangling in the air, like prayer beads?
A classic, simple white magnolia brooch was pinned to her left chest, making her look exceptionally elegant.
Shen Mengke squinted, staring at the brooch for a long time before finally confirming that it was the one that sold for 790,000 at the Chengxi auction last year. Shen Mengke was there at the time. She thought the brooch looked very ordinary, so she never expected it to be so valuable.
Chen Yanxing, tidying her clothes, stood by the bed and looked down at Shen Mengke, saying, “About last night… I can give you appropriate compensation. You can ask for anything you want, even money. Give me a card number. There’s only one request: don’t talk about it casually.”
She was like a novice perpetrator, clumsily dealing with the “crime scene.”
The “crime scene” herself chuckled, “What is this? Hush money?”
“Compensation.”
Shen Mengke nodded, “Alright, this is straightforward; I don’t have to rack my brains thinking about how to deal with it.”
“No need for compensation. I was willing, and you’re good-looking with good skills. I didn’t lose anything,” Shen Mengke said.
Seemingly unaccustomed to such directness, the woman paused for a moment, then turned to leave.
Shen Mengke looked at her back and clicked her tongue lightly. For having shared a night of warmth, how could she be so cold?
A Weibo push notification suddenly popped up on her phone. Shen Mengke, accustomed to just glancing at it, suddenly frowned: “Wait! Don’t go out…”
Chen Yanxing’s hand had just touched the doorknob. Hearing her, she paused and looked back at Shen Mengke.
“There are… paparazzi outside.”
Saying this, Shen Mengke held up her phone, turning it to show her.
The distance was a bit far. Chen Yanxing walked back and stood by the bed, looking at the phone screen. It was Weibo:
#ShenMengkeAndUnknownWomanStayAtTheSameHotel# #ShenMengkeLesbian# #ShenMengkeFindsNewSugarDaddyAgain# #ShenMengkeChaoticPrivateLife# #ShenMengkeMeetsSugarDaddyDuringFilmingBreak# #ShenMengke…
Chen Yanxing looked at the string of “Shen Mengke” topics, several of which had already gone viral.
She looked up at the woman in front of her, “Shen Mengke?”
Shen Mengke smiled and nodded, taking her phone back and refreshing it twice. Seeing that her studio had already stepped in, she put down her phone and said, “Let me introduce myself, Shen Mengke, the one who constantly dominates Weibo trending topics.”
Chen Yanxing just nodded, but in fact, she had never used Weibo and didn’t know Shen Mengke.
Shen Mengke was an actress, typically famous as a person but not for her acting.
One might call her a “black-red” celebrity, having been on trending topics so many times yet never quite breaking through, as if she were being suppressed. But if not, every time she trended, it was always with negative news and scandals that affected her career.
For being on trending topics again, Shen Mengke was completely used to it. She merely looked up slightly at Chen Yanxing and said, “Out of politeness, shouldn’t you introduce yourself now?”
“Chen Yanxing.” Her answer was extremely simple, but it elicited Shen Mengke’s surprise.
“The second young lady of the Chen family who became a nun?!”
