Wicked Island Of Ireland - Chapter 14
CHAPTER 14
No response was needed. He had already settled beside her, resting his thigh at an angle against the floor, and using Isu’s thigh as a pillow.
Her head spun as he positioned himself to face her directly.
She couldn’t even breathe comfortably, afraid her exhaled breath might fall on his cheek.
His eyes slowly traveled up from the tie knotted at her waist.
When the man’s sculpted face with its rich contours came into her peripheral vision, she tensed so much that her hands became damp with sweat. Yet she remained steadfastly seated because the body heat that warmed her thigh felt strangely pleasant.
She gathered her courage to look down at him.
The blue eyes that had been gazing at Isu turned toward the wall. It seemed as if he was voluntarily avoiding direct eye contact, afraid she might run away.
Soon, as if intoxicated by her gaze, he slowly closed and reopened his eyes. Though his expression appeared relaxed as if about to fall asleep, his clearly tensed neck muscles told a different story.
Judging by his prominently visible collarbone, it seemed he wasn’t resting his full weight on her thigh, but merely laying his cheek there.
Due to her thigh being lower than his broad shoulders, his shoulder seemed to dig into the floor.
Wondering if he was uncomfortable, Isu wiped her sweaty palms on her jacket and asked:
“Isn’t it uncomfortable with my thigh being so low?”
Hayden glanced up at Isu and answered:
“It’s fine – I can’t feel anything.”
“Why can’t you feel anything?”
His answer caught her breath.
“Because I’m nervous.”
Isu looked for somewhere to direct her gaze, but with his shoulders, abdomen, and thighs all bare, there was nowhere appropriate to look.
Just then, she noticed black dust covering his shoulder down to his elbow. He followed her gaze.
Momentarily distracted by his eyes framed with dense ash-gray eyelashes, Isu belatedly moved her lips.
“…There’s dust on your arm.”
He narrowed his eyes and answered in a low voice:
“Brush it off.”
The way he gently rubbed his cheek against her thigh resembled an animal seeking affection.
No, perhaps “beast” was a more fitting word than “animal.”
Isu cautiously reached out her hand as if touching an unknown beast.
Her delicate fingers gently brushed the dust from his forearm. Her cheeks flushed as if intoxicated.
It was partly due to the unexpectedly firm muscle beneath her touch. But what drove her nearly mad was how the soft hair on his forearm, like a young beast’s belly fur, twitched each time her fingertips made contact.
Isu removed her hand after brushing off less than half the dust on his arm.
Hayden buried his face against Isu’s thigh and closed his eyes. Hot breath escaped through his slightly parted teeth.
As that breath reached her thigh, her stomach tightened. Once again, Isu’s gaze lost its focus. Her fingertips, resting on the floor, trembled subtly.
Her hand rested just a finger’s width from his on the floor. One wrong move and their fingers might touch, making him twitch again.
Restless, Isu carefully folded her fingers. Then she examined him with trembling eyes.
His long, smooth thighs were tensely rigid. Beneath the navy-blue trunks covering them, she could see something long and thick extending down one leg.
It appeared as if whatever was inside his underwear was firmly secured, neatly positioned along one leg.
But its presence was so distinct that she couldn’t unsee it. Isu covered her mouth with the back of her hand and breathed softly.
Hayden, who had closed his eyes as if trying to sleep, subtly writhed his waist.
Just as her heart began beating urgently at this movement, he raised his upper body and walk far from her.
With each step he took, the front of his trunks swung heavily forward.
He seemed to be erect.
Â
Nine inches, nine inches…
Isu froze with her fists tightly clenched.
What had just happened? A man with the image of someone who would enjoy wielding power over sexy women was so nervous that… And all he had done was rest on a woman’s lap…
He hung from a thick branch in front of the tent and began doing pull-ups.
Declan, who was emptying the mop bucket, saw Hayden’s back and muttered as if to himself:
“Seems like you’ve still got energy even though we haven’t eaten properly.”
Shortly afterward, the football players gathered inside the shelter. Declan looked around at everyone who had found their spots and narrowed his brow.
“No matter how I look at it, this shelter seems too small for all of us to sleep together.”
Manuel crossed his arms and replied:
“Not much choice, is there?”
Declan didn’t seem willing to adapt to the cramped shelter.
“Why don’t we move to the stone house near the start of the lake? There’s one without a hole in the roof.”
He seemed to be referring to the house near the cave where they had showered earlier. Manuel, who had been considering this, shook his head.
“That house is about the same size, so it’s hard for all of us to move there. And it seems better to stay in this house, which is closer to the shore.”
Declan wouldn’t yield his opinion.
“Then how about we divide into two teams to live?”
“…”
“Who wants to move?”
Nate raised his hand. Declan forcibly raised Manuel’s hand too, then stood up.
“I’m going to move so I can sleep comfortably. Let’s set meal times at 10 AM and 9 PM. I’ll come to the tent at those times.”
The snake confined in a box in the yard made thumping sounds. Isu, who was watching the box through the wide-open door, asked anxiously:
“Are you taking the snake too?”
Declan shook his head as he went outside.
“No, I think it’s more convenient to go with just ourselves.”
The rest of the football players also went outside. They gathered around the overturned box containing the snake and looked down at it. Declan tapped the box with his foot and said:
“I should give the snake a name.”
DeHart, standing beside him, asked:
“What will you call it?”
“Sally. Named after my first love.”
Manuel narrowed his brow and rubbed his chin.
“The girl who ran away to a foreign country with your youth team signing bonus?”
“Yes, that b1tch.”
Watching them, Isu relaxed the tension in her stiffened shoulders.
It was fortunate that Declan had thought of moving. She had been troubled by the fact that he had seen her in only her underwear, and she didn’t like his brazen attitude.
Just as she was feeling relieved, Declan asked her:
“Isu, want to come too?”
Isu shook her head. She disliked Declan because he was too shameless. It was also somehow difficult and uncomfortable to stay with Hayden.
If asked to choose who to stay with, she would have chosen Jena, a woman, and Manuel. But if asked to choose between Declan and Hayden, it would definitely be Hayden.
“No, thanks.”
After failing to persuade Jena to join them, Declan carefully gathered the laptop he had left in the shelter. It was a laptop presumed to belong to Graham.
Laptop… She wanted to borrow it, thinking it might contain clues about her lost memories, but she hesitated, suspecting Declan would demand something in return.
Since the laptop had no battery anyway, she didn’t want to create conflict, so she silently watched him take it.
Declan walked along the lake path with Nate and Manuel. Manuel seemed reluctant to go but didn’t show it.
Night fell before long. DeHart and Jan headed to Declan’s shelter after hearing that they had found cards in the new shelter and wanted to play poker.
Though only three people remained in the shelter that had previously housed eight, it didn’t feel much more spacious. This was because Jena and Hayden lay in sequence beside her, just as they had the night before.
Familiar places are indeed more comfortable. Since the spot under the window was also the darkest, Isu didn’t bother to move.
Still, Jena provided comfort as another woman, and Hayden as the person who had saved her life.
She didn’t want to imagine what would have happened to her by now if they hadn’t been there.
A cuckoo called outside.
As the night deepened, sleep wouldn’t come, and her troubled mind only grew more anxious.
She had thought she might recall at least her name after about three days. But not only her name, even the faintest traces of memory remained invisible.
What had happened to her in that building…
While she was lost in these thoughts, the cuckoo, having sung loudly, disappeared. Sleepless insects outside took turns calling as if in conversation.
Because Jena blocked her view with her back, Isu couldn’t see Hayden properly.
However, her thigh still retained a faint sensation of his presence.
Perhaps the reason she couldn’t sleep now was because of the sensation he had left behind. Each time she closed her eyes deeply, the moment when he had used her thigh as a pillow came back, forcing her to open them again…
Isu blinked her tired eyes. Jena turned over and placed her leg on Hayden’s stomach.
Hayden, sleeping face up, didn’t stir. Jena tossed again and placed her hand on his chest.
Isu thought that Jena was unconsciously seeking the comfort of another person in her sleep. She realized this was a misjudgment within seconds.
In the moonlight, she saw Jena’s index finger circling Hayden’s n1pple. Isu held her breath, clutching Hayden’s rolled-up vest.
She thought she should wake Hayden. No one would welcome having their body touched by someone else while sleeping.
But what if Jena denied it? For all she knew, Jena and Hayden might have become intimate without her knowing…
How should she respond if he suddenly became responsive and embraced Jena?
In that case, it was obvious she would have to hold her breath and watch the provocative scene, which made her dizzy just thinking about it.
Jena’s index finger traced around his flat n1pple before slowly moving lower.
Her hand brushed past his rhythmically rising and falling abs. After a moment’s hesitation, it slipped inside his trunks.
The silken trunks writhed visibly in the moonlight. As if intoxicated by the heat in her hand, Jena lightly pressed her br3asts against Hayden’s elbow.
Watching this scene through half-closed eyes made her feel strange. Her mind grew hot as if thrust into the middle of a s3x video, and for some reason, she also felt like she was losing a lover, making her want to push Jena into the lake.
At that moment, his deeply closed eyes slowly opened.
His eyes, confused from sleep, immediately found Isu.
Isu flinched and narrowed her already squinted eyes further. Hayden, perhaps feeling the touch inside his underwear, lowered his gaze to his lower body.
His trunks, several sizes too large for his waist, repeatedly rose high. His reaction would be one of two things. If this was consensual with Jena, he would enjoy her touch. If not, he would startle awake and jump up.
Isu held her breath, hidden in the darkness. That’s when Jena looked up at Hayden and whispered in his ear:
“Baby, are you awake?”
