You Should Have Told Me You Don't Like Sweet Girls - Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Shi Xueqian’s expression remained calm. “What do you want me to compensate you with?”
Su Yu straightened up and looked into her eyes. “Anything?”
Those eyes, like a peach blossom, could be enchanting with just a hint of a smile, yet they were always calm and placid.
Shi Xueqian nodded. “Anything.”
Su Yu stared at her for a moment. “Then, senior, tell me the real reason you lied to me this time.”
“That’s the compensation I want.”
Silence, a deathly silence.
You could almost hear the sound of the wind blowing across the fields outside.
“I know, senior. When you said you wanted to compensate me, you were actually trying to distract me completely,” Su Yu’s voice paused slightly, and her eyes turned a little red. “I’ve been chasing you for more than a month. Can’t you, senior, even tell me one honest thing?”
“Senior, believe me, I’m willing to do anything for you.”
Shi Xueqian raised her hand and tucked a strand of hair that had fallen onto Su Yu’s cheek behind her ear. Her gaze remained calm. “Su Yu, you said you trusted me. Why don’t you believe me when I say it?”
This proved that Shi Xueqian was still unwilling to tell Su Yu the “truth.”
Even with all the right conditions, she couldn’t get her to open her mouth. It seemed she would have to rely on her own investigation.
Su Yu briefly explained the situation with Meng Huajin to Jiang Nianyi. “Follow the lead on senior’s grandmother and let me know if you find anything.”
After hanging up the phone, she looked back at the grandmother and granddaughter chatting and laughing under the eaves. The corners of her mouth lifted slightly, with a faint bitterness.
Before going to bed, the grandmother instructed them: “Don’t think I didn’t notice you two bickering. Settle whatever it is tonight in the same bed, do you hear me?”
“Hurry, go to bed.”
Meng Huajin pushed them into the room.
The two looked at each other, and Su Yu said naturally, “Senior, do you want to sleep on the inside or the outside?”
Shi Xueqian also said naturally, “I’ll sleep on the inside.”
With that, she got into bed and lay down against the wall.
Su Yu wasn’t shy at all. She got into bed and lay on the outside. “I’m turning off the light.”
Shi Xueqian gave a faint “mm.”
They were a couple who were respectful of each other, answering each other’s questions, just like a husband and wife.
In fact, they weren’t bickering. Su Yu didn’t continue to press the matter from the afternoon and suggested that she wanted to rest for a bit. Shi Xueqian didn’t say anything else and went to shell corn kernels under the eaves by herself.
Su Yu didn’t fall asleep in the room. She lay with her hands behind her head, wondering how to naturally ask the grandmother about Shi Xueqian.
The result was that now they were both in bed, and she hadn’t managed to get any information.
She had been looking for a chance to talk to the grandmother alone, but Shi Xueqian seemed to know what she was up to and was constantly on guard against them being alone. Every time she was about to say two words, Shi Xueqian would appear.
Because she was so preoccupied with this, she sometimes seemed distracted, which might have caused Meng Huajin’s misunderstanding.
Su Yu lay on her side, looking at the almost full moon in the night sky, and sighed silently.
Aside from being kidnapped when she was a child, she had never felt so powerless. She slowly closed her eyes, trying to feel sleepy.
Her eyes suddenly opened. Her dark eyes looked incredibly deep in the moonlight.
Su Yu grabbed the cold hand that had landed on her skin. She turned over to face Shi Xueqian, her breathing a little heavier. “Senior, what are you doing?”
In the faint moonlight, she couldn’t make out Shi Xueqian’s expression, but she could hear her voice, which was unusually calm. “My hands are cold. I want to rub them to get my fingers moving.”
Shi Xueqian tried to pull her hand away, but she couldn’t. She had no choice but to reach out with her other hand. “Are you not going to let me, junior?”
Her fingertips were cold. Su Yu was naturally warm, with a high body temperature. The collision of cold and hot made Su Yu tremble violently. She grabbed the mischievous hand, gritted her teeth, and ruthlessly took both of her hands out from under her shirt. “You have your own, senior. You can rub your own to get your fingers moving.”
“Mine are cold too, Su Yu. You can warm them up for me.” Before she could finish, she guided Su Yu’s hand to her chest. Her voice was full of dissatisfaction. “Your hands aren’t warm enough.”
Before Su Yu could react, Shi Xueqian reached out one hand and slowly traced Su Yu’s beautiful lips, rubbing them against the seam of her lips. “Junior, will you use this to warm me up?”
Su Yu bit her finger. “What are you playing at, senior?”
The hand that had been guided by Shi Xueqian became active and squeezed her hard.
Shi Xueqian gritted her teeth and let out a muffled groan. She forced six words through her teeth. “I want junior to play with me.”
She was now slightly tilted back, her eyes narrowed, her face a mix of pleasure and restraint. In the dim moonlight, she looked especially tempting.
If Shi Xueqian had looked at Su Yu, she would have seen that Su Yu was like a red-eyed wolf waiting to hunt in the dark. She was the kind of person who could devour her completely at any moment. But as the prey, she was completely oblivious, even feeling that she wasn’t delicious enough. She unbuttoned her pajama top one button at a time, offering herself completely to the predator.
The faint moonlight painted everything with the most extreme temptation.
For Su Yu, Shi Xueqian’s very existence was an immense temptation, let alone the repeated teasing and the alluring, sensual expression she was showing. Su Yu had no doubt that she might die from the sudden increase in desire.
Su Yu withdrew her hands, closed her eyes, and tried to block out all the temptations to hold on to her last bit of rationality. She gritted her back teeth and squeezed out a sentence: “Who am I to you, senior? Am I worthy of you trying to please me like this?”
“I’m not trying to please you. I’m trying to coax you. Aren’t you upset about what happened this afternoon?” Shi Xueqian tried to pull her hand, but it didn’t budge. She could only continue. “Su Yu, what I said this afternoon was the truth. You can choose not to believe me, but I don’t want you to be unhappy.”
“So, I wanted to do something that would make us both comfortable and happy.”
Su Yu was determined not to let go of her hand, so Shi Xueqian couldn’t pull it away. She could only lean in and kiss the corner of Su Yu’s mouth, her voice as soft as the moonlight tonight. “Can’t I?”
Su Yu still had her eyes closed. “Then tell me first, senior, why don’t you want me to be unhappy?”
This question was like a sudden blow, leaving Shi Xueqian dazed and frozen on the spot.
She had never thought about this question.
Why didn’t she want Su Yu to be unhappy?
After thinking for a few seconds, she slowly said, “I just don’t want you to be unhappy because of me.”
In other words, it’s your business whether you’re happy or not, but don’t involve me. If it’s related to me, then I have to take responsibility.
Su Yu’s eyelids twitched, and she gritted her teeth. “Then you’re quite responsible, senior.”
“I’m not unhappy. You can go to sleep, senior.”
This was the truth. She was indeed not unhappy. She was a little annoyed at first, but that feeling quickly disappeared.
She felt that if Shi Xueqian was unwilling to talk about something, there must be a reason for her to do so.
If she hadn’t sensed that Shi Xueqian had a death wish, she would never have used all her connections to investigate her information. She wanted to wait until Shi Xueqian completely opened her heart to her and willingly told her everything.
And even if she didn’t, it was okay. As long as they were together.
With that, she turned around, her back to Shi Xueqian. But the person behind her stuck to her, hugging her tightly, her hands moving over her chest, and her head resting on her shoulder. “Su Yu, I’m cold.”
Su Yu frowned fiercely, then turned over and hugged her tightly. She pulled the blanket over them. Her voice finally softened a lot. “Then let’s sleep like this.”
Shi Xueqian curled up in her arms, looked up at the person with her eyes closed, kissed her on the chin, and closed her eyes to sleep.
The moonlight was like water. Su Yu didn’t fall asleep at all. It was only when she heard the even breathing from the person in her arms that she slowly opened her eyes and looked at her peaceful sleeping face in the faint moonlight.
She gently, but very, very softly, pointed her finger at Shi Xueqian’s lips. “They’re so soft.”
“But it doesn’t matter. I’ll always be watching you.”
You can’t go anywhere but by my side.
The next morning, Su Yu was woken up by the noise in the courtyard.
She frowned slightly and opened her eyes. She saw that the person in her arms was still asleep, so she immediately covered her ears and looked at the door. Luckily, she had locked the door when they came in last night.
“Grandma, we want to find the fairy sister.”
“I told you, she’s a mortal, not a fairy.”
“You’re a nuisance! Stay away from me. I don’t want to talk to you.”
…
“Shh…” Meng Huajin put her finger to her lips. Her granddaughter woke up at a little past five in the morning on the first day, even earlier than she did. She knew what her precious Xuebao’s routine was like. Today, she finally got to sleep in. Who knew a group of little ancestors would come and make a fuss? “The sisters worked very hard yesterday and are still sleeping. You can either wait here quietly or wait until they wake up, and I’ll ask them to find you.”
“Then let’s go back.”
The voices belonged to the children from yesterday, and the last one was probably the oldest girl.
The courtyard quickly became quiet, with only the occasional chirping of birds on the branches.
Su Yu took her hand away and looked down at the person in her arms. She saw that Shi Xueqian had opened her eyes at some point and was looking at her without blinking.
“Did I wake you up?”
The eyes that weren’t quite clear yet blinked, revealing a few traces of sleepiness. She let out a muffled “mm” from her throat.
This was the first time Su Yu had seen such a relaxed and natural Shi Xueqian. She felt her heart melt into a puddle. She hugged her again. “Grandma sent them away. Sleep a little longer.”
Shi Xueqian originally wanted to say no. After all, she had never had the habit of sleeping in. No matter how short a time she slept, once she woke up, she could never fall back asleep.
But when she smelled the sweet scent of Su Yu, her nerves slowly relaxed, and her eyelids became heavy. She fell asleep just like that.
Compared to the softness under the moonlight at night, Shi Xueqian’s sleeping face in the daylight seemed to be filled with vitality. Su Yu scratched her nose, and her nose wrinkled slightly. She let out a soft hum of displeasure from her throat but didn’t move away. She rubbed her head against Su Yu’s chest and became quiet again.
Su Yu placed a feather-light kiss on her nose. If she could wake up to this scene every day, she would be the happiest person in the world.
The sun slowly rose in the sky. Shi Xueqian slowly opened her eyes and was met with a gentle gaze. She thought she was dreaming, so she blinked. When she opened her eyes again, the gentle eyes didn’t disappear. Instead, they were filled with a hint of a smile.
“Little sleepyhead, did you get enough sleep?” Su Yu raised her hand and stroked her nose.
It was at this moment that Shi Xueqian realized that everything in front of her wasn’t a dream.
“Are you ready to get up?”
Su Yu’s voice was so gentle it could melt.
Shi Xueqian said “mm” and sat up. She felt a chill and realized that she was not wearing a single thing.
She reached for the blanket to cover herself, but it didn’t budge.
Before she could react, a shadow was cast over her.
“Senior, I’m a little hungry. I want to have some breakfast first,” Su Yu rested her head on Shi Xueqian’s neck, gently rubbing and licking. Her fingertips slowly moved over her body, causing shivers. “I wanted to say this last time, but senior, the flesh on your body really grows well. It’s obediently grown where it’s supposed to.”
“Don’t,” Shi Xueqian tried to press her hand down, but it was useless. Su Yu pinned it behind her back with one hand, causing her body to arch in a way that made her exposed body even more alluring and tempting.
Su Yu’s breath moved over her neck, and the warm air caused a wave of shivers throughout her body. Shi Xueqian restlessly twisted her body, her voice tight. “Su Yu, let go of me.”
Su Yu’s breath slowly moved down. She kissed Shi Xueqian and said, “Senior, I’m a guest. When a guest comes to your house, shouldn’t you, as the host, provide some breakfast?”
Shi Xueqian licked her dry lips. “Get up. Grandma must have prepared some.”
“But I only want what senior… provides,” Su Yu said slowly, licking and biting the red mark in the snow-white. She took it into her mouth again and bit and pulled gently.
“Su Yu, you bastard,” Shi Xueqian gritted her teeth, not letting any sound escape.
Just then, the door was knocked, and Meng Huajin’s voice rang out. “Xuebao, Su Yu, are you two awake?”
Shi Xueqian’s body trembled. She looked down at Su Yu with misty eyes, making a silent plea.
Su Yu looked up and suggestively touched the corner of her mouth with her lips.
Shi Xueqian immediately understood and chased after her lips to kiss her. Su Yu hugged her and deepened the kiss, from a standing hug to lying down on the bed with Su Yu on top of her.
“Xuebao, Su Yu? It’s already ten o’clock. I’ll bring you two some food. Do you want to eat first and then go back to sleep?”
Shi Xueqian struggled to push the person on top of her.
Su Yu let her go, breathing heavily as she looked at the person below her with her mouth open. She helped her sit up against herself, and while helping her put on her clothes, she responded, “Grandma, we’ll be right there.”
It was ten minutes later when they came out. The grandmother looked at the two of them sitting together and nodded in satisfaction. She pushed the reheated breakfast in front of them and said to Su Yu, “After you finish eating, ask Xuebao to show you around the village. Although it’s not very developed here, the scenery is still beautiful.”
Su Yu nodded and looked at Shi Xueqian. “Senior, is that okay?”
Shi Xueqian was chewing on a piece of bread, her cheeks puffed out. She just nodded.
She’s so cute, Su Yu thought. If the grandmother wasn’t there, she would definitely bite her.
As soon as they left the house, a group of children followed them, all as excited as sparrows, chattering away.
Su Yu once again used her money to send them away, wanting to enjoy her private time with Shi Xueqian.
In autumn, the grass and trees on the country roads were yellow and withered, but they had a unique charm.
“Did you grow up here, senior?”
Shi Xueqian didn’t avoid the question and gave a half-truthful “mm.”
Su Yu sighed. “That’s nice. It’s great to revisit your old home with you, senior.”
They passed a half-finished building made of red bricks that was already overgrown with weeds. Su Yu looked at it a few times and felt it was familiar. She couldn’t help but stop.
Shi Xueqian had walked a few steps before she realized that Su Yu hadn’t followed. She walked back and stood next to her, following her gaze. “What’s wrong?”
Su Yu voiced her doubt. “I feel like this place is very familiar.”
Shi Xueqian didn’t deny it. “These kinds of half-finished buildings are quite common. It’s not strange that you’ve seen one before.”
Su Yu was deep in thought, then nodded slightly. “Mm.”
Shi Xueqian: “Let’s go. Let’s head back.”
“Okay,” Su Yu caught up to her and smiled. “Senior, are all those embarrassing stories your grandmother told me true?”
Shi Xueqian: “I don’t know. I don’t remember.”
Su Yu: “Are you shy, senior?”
Shi Xueqian shook her head. “No.”
She wasn’t shy. She really didn’t remember. Many of her happy memories from here had long been swallowed up by the pain that had accumulated day by day.
After lunch, Shi Xueqian started to urge Su Yu to go back. Xu Zhicheng had told her to be home before 7 p.m. on Sunday. Considering any possible delays, the car would come to pick her up at 1 p.m. sharp.
Su Yu had to leave before her.
But Su Yu didn’t want to leave. “I’m fine. I only have my last class tomorrow morning. I’ll stay here for one more night with grandma.”
“No,” Before Shi Xueqian could refuse, Meng Huajin said firmly. “Since you have class tomorrow morning, both of you should go back now. Have a good rest tonight so you can have the energy for class tomorrow.”
“Hurry, hurry. Go back the way you came.”
Su Yu frowned slightly but didn’t insist. “Okay, then. How are you getting back, senior? I’ll go with you.”
“No,” as soon as she finished speaking, her phone vibrated. “I’ve already had Jiang classmate send your private jet over. Let’s go. I’ll take you there.”
Su Yu stared at her for a while, then didn’t say anything else. She packed her things and left.
On the way, a group of children followed them. Although Su Yu felt a little stifled, she still greeted every child and secretly slipped a note to the oldest girl.
When Shi Xueqian returned home, the grandmother and granddaughter sat together and talked about unimportant things. As the time approached, Meng Huajin hugged her only granddaughter. “Xuebao, promise me you’ll live a happy life and come to see me more often when you have time.”
Shi Xueqian’s nose ached, but she managed to compose herself. “I will, grandma. I always think of you.”
“I know, my Xuebao is the best girl.”
When the car drove away, Shi Xueqian saw the old lady standing at the door, watching the car leave. To stop herself from changing her mind, Shi Xueqian closed her eyes and didn’t see the hunched figure running after the car for a long time.
She arrived home on time that night.
The house was pitch-black. Shi Xueqian didn’t turn on the lights and went back to her room in the dark. Because she was distracted, she didn’t see the figure following her.
