You Should Have Told Me You Don't Like Sweet Girls - Chapter 32
Chapter 32
The front of the auditorium was lively, and the backstage was bustling, but the locked prop room was quiet, filled with an intimate and ambiguous atmosphere.
Despite Shi Xueqian gritting her teeth, a faint, strained sound still escaped.
Su Yu, in a mischievous mood, rose to her tiptoes again, her tongue tracing the teeth marks on Shi Xueqian’s collarbone. “Hmm? Why isn’t senior saying anything?”
Shi Xueqian raised her hand to push her, but most of her strength had drained away. It was less of a push to get her away and more like an invitation.
Su Yu pecked a red mark below her collarbone, a wicked smile playing on her lips. “If senior doesn’t say anything, I’ll take it as your silent consent.”
She slowly slid down, kneeling on the ground. Su Yu kissed her thigh, her fingertips rubbing against the smooth skin, meticulously and patiently teasing Shi Xueqian’s nerves. She looked up. “Senior, don’t make a sound. It would be bad if someone was in the hallway and heard us.”
Shi Xueqian lowered her head, pressing down on Su Yu’s head as she tried to lean in. “Su Yu, no. The performance is about to start.”
To match her character, Su Yu wore the same uniform as Shi Xueqian, but she wore it more casually. The top two buttons of her shirt were unbuttoned, leaving it wide open. From Shi Xueqian’s perspective, the enticing sight was on full display—pristine, sexy, and tempting. It made her wonder what kind of stunning scenery would be created if she were to leave a few marks on it.
Noticing where her gaze was fixed, Su Yu narrowed her eyes and said nonchalantly, “Does senior like it?”
“I do.” Her mouth was a step ahead of her brain. Shi Xueqian froze for a moment, then immediately tried to explain, “No, I’m not saying I like your chest. I mean…”
“I didn’t say you liked my chest, senior.” A subtle smile played on Su Yu’s lips.
It was a classic case of drawing attention to oneself. Shi Xueqian bit her lower lip in frustration and fell silent.
She looked cute when she was angry with herself. Su Yu leaned in and hugged her thighs, rubbing her head against them. “I think I really like senior a little more every new day.”
“If you like it, senior, do you want to touch it?”
“I told you last time, it’s exclusively for you, senior. You can do whatever you want with it. I welcome it.”
Soft things always bring a comfortable feeling. A tingling sensation spread up her thighs, and Shi Xueqian’s body trembled as if she might collapse at any moment. She reached out and pressed down on Su Yu’s shoulders to stop her from moving. “I don’t have any strange thoughts. I’m just admiring it.”
“Oh? Is that so?” Su Yu’s voice was a long, teasing drawl. “But the look in senior’s eyes just now seemed like she wanted to devour me… Mmmph.”
Before she could finish, her mouth was covered by Shi Xueqian’s hand. “I didn’t. Don’t always twist my words.”
Su Yu couldn’t speak, but her eyes lingered on Shi Xueqian’s face. Her expression was clearly saying: You know in your heart whether I’m twisting your words or not.
The blatant gaze and naked desire.
Shi Xueqian was so embarrassed that she couldn’t meet her eyes. She released her hand and looked away. “Stop messing around. We’re about to perform.”
A flush of pink spread from her neck to her fair, glistening earlobes…
Su Yu gritted her teeth, took a deep breath, and listened intently to the sounds outside. A faint smile appeared on her face. “It’s only the fifth performance right now. Each one is about four minutes long, so we still have about twenty minutes.”
Before coming in, she had made a point of remembering the order of each performance.
Su Yu lowered her head and bit her. The warm breath traveled upward. Shi Xueqian’s body trembled. She tried to lean against the door to stabilize herself, but her legs had no strength.
“Su Yu, I can’t stand anymore.”
She slid down the door and sat on the ground. Su Yu knelt down, supported her body, and held her in her arms, rubbing her cheek against her ear. “Senior is so sensitive everywhere. Every part of you is so tempting.”
Shi Xueqian lowered her head and bit Su Yu’s collarbone, not using much force.
Su Yu sucked in a sharp breath. She leaned in and whispered to her, “Senior, keep biting lower. Don’t you like it?”
Shi Xueqian didn’t move but bit down harder. The sensation made Su Yu sigh, and she lowered her head and kissed the top of Shi Xueqian’s head. “Be a good girl, senior. Bite somewhere else.”
Shi Xueqian let go. Her strength had not returned, and she couldn’t stand up. She wrapped her arms around Su Yu’s neck and rested her head on her shoulder.
Su Yu rubbed her cheek against the top of Shi Xueqian’s head, wrapped her arms around her waist, and gently stroked her back with one hand, as if she were comforting a baby.
Shi Xueqian thought she couldn’t get up because she had no strength. In fact, even when she felt her strength had returned, she didn’t want to leave Su Yu’s arms.
Su Yu’s embrace was too warm. She didn’t want to leave.
The thought that she would never be able to hold this person in her arms again after today made her want to leave even less.
But she still forced herself to pull away from that embrace.
Stolen warmth will eventually fade.
Su Yu also stood up, straightened her clothes, and lowered her head to rub their noses together. “Can senior perform well later?”
Shi Xueqian said “mm.”
Su Yu rewarded her with a kiss on the corner of her mouth. “That’s my girl.”
She tugged at her own collar. “Thanks to senior, I might have to button up my shirt.”
Shi Xueqian turned her head and gave a blunt four-word critique. “You brought this on yourself.”
“Yes, yes~ I brought this on myself,” Su Yu leaned in close to her ear and bit her earlobe, which was red enough to bleed. She sounded like a student eager for knowledge. “Then, may I ask, Professor Shi, what do I need to do so you’ll bite the places you like?”
Just then, the doorknob was pressed. A puzzled voice came from outside. “That’s strange. I clearly remember not locking the door.”
Then, footsteps moved away. “Hey? Xiao Sheng, where are you? Do you have the key to the prop room?”
“Hey, where did Su Yu and Senior Shi go? It’s almost our turn. Why can’t we find them?”
Two voices merged. Soon, the prop room door was knocked. “Su Yu? Senior Shi, are you two in there?”
As soon as they spoke, the door was pulled open.
Two members of the club froze for a moment, then quickly reacted. “Su Yu, Senior Shi, we finally found you. Let’s go. Our performance is next, and the president is looking for you to prepare for the final check.”
Su Yu nodded. “Okay, let’s go.”
The four of them walked back together. No one noticed the pair of extremely resentful eyes at the other end of the hallway.
When they returned to the group, the president pretended to be angry. “Where were you two just now? You scared me to death. I thought you had chickened out.”
“How could we do that?” Su Yu smiled slightly. “Senior and I went to prepare our emotions. We were a little nervous just now.”
Hearing her say that, the president no longer pursued the matter of them disappearing. She said understandingly, “It’s your first time as a lead. It’s normal to feel a little stressed. How do you feel now?”
She was mainly asking Shi Xueqian. She knew that Su Yu had a lot of experience and would not be nervous at all.
The two leads said at the same time, “Mm, we’re fine now.”
The president gave Su Yu a meaningful look and nodded. “That’s good. Everyone, do a final check. Your hairstyles, props, are they all ready?”
“Everyone, don’t be nervous. Just act like you do in the club. It’s all good. I know you’re all great. Just be natural like usual…”
She rambled on like a worried mother until one of the members couldn’t take it anymore and interrupted. “How can we not be nervous, president? There are tens of thousands of people out there.”
“Yeah, and president, why do I feel like you’re more nervous than we are?”
“President, you’re so nervous you forgot that you don’t have to go on stage.”
“You little rascals,” the president said, pretending to be angry. “You just love to tease me.”
With all the teasing, the nervous atmosphere was relieved a lot.
“Next, let’s welcome our drama club to bring us a wonderful theatrical performance.”
The president held out her hand. “It’s our turn! Everyone, let’s go!”
They all gave each other a pep talk. Su Yu, Shi Xueqian, and Xu Yan, who played Han Ye, Lu Chenshen, and Lu Ru respectively, went on stage together.
“Han Ye, have you no shame? Why do you always steal food from my sister’s bowl?”
“I’m not! I’m just helping Ah Shen get rid of the things she doesn’t like, okay?”
“What? You’re getting more and more shameless!”
“Okay, okay, you two. Stop arguing…”
In the first half, the audience was amused by the love-hate relationship between the three. In the second half, the atmosphere became tense. Han Ye and Lu Chenshen’s relationship became strained. Lu Chenshen and her sister Lu Ru became enemies. Han Ye and Lu Chenshen’s relationship improved, but it was immediately met with opposition from both sets of parents.
Han Ye hugged Lu Chenshen. “Ah Shen, you’ve been so stressed lately. Let’s not argue. Let’s both calm down, okay?”
…
Lu Ru: “Sister, didn’t you say you loved me the most? You won’t even give me Han Ye. Your love is so selfish!”
…
Han Ye rubbed Lu Chenshen’s head. “Ah Shen, it’s okay. No matter what, I’m here. As long as our hearts are together, there’s nothing we can’t overcome. Ah Ru will understand us too.”
…
Lu Chenshen’s parents: “There is no such thing as same-s3x love in this world. Ah Shen, don’t be foolish. You’re sick. Your mom and dad will take you to see a doctor. Once you’re cured, everything will be fine.”
…
Lu Chenshen was locked up at home by her parents and wasn’t allowed to go out. But she escaped for love. When she went to buy a ticket, she realized she had forgotten her ID and had to go back home to get it. When she returned, she found her parents had both passed away at home, and there was a suicide note on the table.
Lu Chenshen fainted on the spot. When she woke up in the hospital, Lu Ru shouted at her, “Why didn’t you die? You’re the one who deserves to die the most in this world.”
Lu Chenshen just stared blankly out the window (at the audience). In Lu Ru’s eyes, Lu Chenshen was cold-blooded and showed no emotion even after her parents died.
But in the eyes of the audience, they saw Shi Xueqian’s despair and her complete lack of desire to live.
Someone rubbed their arm. “Senior Shi’s acting is too good. It’s like she’s really going to disappear from the world at any moment. I have goosebumps.”
“Yeah, her acting is so realistic.”
“I never would have guessed that Shi Xueqian could act, and act so well.”
…
The truth was, in the next scene, Lu Chenshen did start preparing suicide notes. One for Han Ye, one for Lu Ru. She apologized to her parents hundreds of times until her throat was hoarse and she collapsed. When she woke up again, she saw Han Ye by her hospital bed. She used the narrator’s voice to say three “I’m sorry”s and then, while Han Ye was out getting food, she left the world without any hesitation, leaving Han Ye alone to mourn in the hospital room, to walk alone in a world without Lu Chenshen.
—Love died, and death loved.
The play ended there. The scene was dead silent until the host came on stage, bringing everyone’s thoughts back. The applause that was late in coming gradually began, thundering throughout the entire auditorium.
Jiang Nianyi used Qin Shuangyuan’s arm to wipe away her tears. “Waaah, that was so emotional. Both senior and Yu Yu are such good actresses.”
“Can you use your own hand to wipe your tears?” He said with a look of disgust on his face, but he didn’t pull his arm away, letting her use it as a rag.
Jiang Nianyi: “No. Let’s go. We’re going backstage to find Su Yu.”
Qin Shuangyuan: “What for?”
He asked, but his body was already getting up and walking out.
“I’m going to punch her. Why did she make me cry so much? My eyes are definitely going to be swollen tomorrow, waaah.”
Qin Shuangyuan said unhurriedly, “By the way you’re talking, half the reason you’re crying is because of Senior Shi, right? Are you going to punch her too?”
“I wouldn’t dare,” Jiang Nianyi knew exactly who she was dealing with. “Before I can punch her, Yu Yu will have already turned me into a pulp.”
Qin Shuangyuan nodded in agreement. “It seems your brain hasn’t flowed out with your tears.”
Jiang Nianyi, in a fit of anger, gave him a hard slap on the back.
When they got backstage, they saw the president of the drama club hugging two members and crying. “You guys were amazing! You were all so great, waaah! I’m so proud of you…”
Seeing this, the tears that Jiang Nianyi had just collected came back. She walked over and hugged Su Yu. “Little Yu Yu, give me back my eyes! My eyes are definitely going to be as swollen as walnuts tomorrow, waaah.”
Shi Xueqian looked at the chaotic scene, quietly retreated behind the crowd, and left.
Now that Su Yu was being surrounded, she had to go back to her study room first, install the camera, and then call Su Yu over to record their intimate video. As long as she gave the video to Xu Yan tonight, she would be completely free.
She looked at Su Yu’s back one last time and then turned to leave.
When she came out of the venue, there was only one last ray of evening light left in the sky. It struggled to hang there, trying to resist the coming of the night and save the disappearing light.
There was a shortcut behind the venue that led to the library. Shi Xueqian turned into it, clutching her bag tightly. She didn’t notice the two figures following her.
A muffled sound was quite clear in the silent environment. Shi Xueqian looked at the source of the sound. She saw a figure emerge from the shadows, bend down to pick up a textbook from the ground, and look at her with a helpless expression.
The figure came closer. Shi Xueqian recognized who she was. She was the girl with the braids and freckles under her eyes who often asked her for help with her studies. She was in her German language class.
The girl said timidly, “Qianqian, I was studying here just now, and I was so surprised to see you that I accidentally dropped my workbook. I didn’t think you would hear it and stop.”
“I have a question I can’t figure out. Can you help me?”
Shi Xueqian didn’t think much of it and nodded.
“Senior, let’s not stand here,” the girl with the braids said, pointing to the shadows she had just come out of. “I usually study there alone. I have a desk and a chair there. Let’s go over there and sit down to figure it out.”
Shi Xueqian hesitated. She was in a hurry. If Su Yu found that she was gone and couldn’t contact her, she would definitely go to her study room, where she spent the most time. If Su Yu got there first, she wouldn’t be able to install the camera.
The girl with the braids: “Don’t worry, senior. It won’t take long.”
Shi Xueqian followed her anyway.
Shi Xueqian walked in front. When she reached an intersection, she saw a girl dressed as a student lying on the ground, seemingly dead or alive. When she reacted, her nose and mouth were covered with a white cloth.
The strength was so great.
No matter how hard she struggled, she couldn’t break free.
Her strength slowly drained away, and her consciousness slowly faded…
When she opened her eyes again, Shi Xueqian found herself tied to a chair. She didn’t know how much time had passed or where she was. Only a candle beside her emitted a faint orange light.
But she wasn’t panicking. In her heart, she was already a dead person. If her final death didn’t require using Su Yu, she would feel more at peace.
She only hoped that if there was a slight chance that Su Yu would come looking for her and find her, she could help her deliver the suicide note in her bag to her grandmother.
Also, she hoped that the kidnappers would let her die quickly. Even though pain could bring pleasure to her mind, she didn’t want to suffer physical pain anymore.
She leaned back in the chair, looking at the pitch-black sky. She seemed to have already merged with the night.
In truth, if she could, she wanted to see Su Yu one last time and apologize to her in person.
Suddenly, the lights came on, and the light became distorted in her eyes. Shi Xueqian didn’t find it blinding.
“Why are you crying, Qianqian?”
A familiar voice echoed in her ears. Shi Xueqian came back to her senses. She looked up, and tears flowed down her cheeks. She only then realized that she was crying.
It turned out that what had just trickled down her ear was tears, not rainwater.
It turned out it wasn’t raining outside. She was in a closed space. Even if it were raining, the rainwater couldn’t get in.
But it didn’t matter anymore.
The girl with the braids walked over and gently wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes. Her eyes were filled with adoration. “Qianqian, don’t be afraid. I won’t do anything to you. I love you. How could I bear to hurt you, Qianqian?”
Shi Xueqian looked at her. Her tears had long dried up. She was calm and placid. She didn’t question her. She just asked calmly, “Then why did you bring me here?”
The girl with the braids squatted in front of her, placed her hands on Shi Xueqian’s thighs, and rubbed them gently. Instead of answering, she asked, “Do you know my name now, senior?”
Shi Xueqian remembered. Su Yu had once asked her what the name of the person in front of her was. She had said she didn’t know.
“I don’t.”
Different times, same answer.
The girl with the braids’ eyes changed slightly. She squeezed Shi Xueqian’s thigh hard. “Qianqian, why don’t you know my name? I clearly told you! Why don’t you remember my name?”
“In your eyes, there’s only that Su Yu, isn’t there? Isn’t there!”
“You two even dared to do those shameless things backstage! How shameless! How shameless!”
The girl with the braids’ emotions suddenly became agitated, and she used great force with her hands.
Shi Xueqian groaned.
The girl with the braids was startled. She let go of Shi Xueqian’s thigh and apologized in a panic. “I’m sorry, Qianqian. I didn’t mean to hurt you. Let me blow on it for you.”
With that, she knelt on the ground and gently blew on the bruised spot. She looked up, her face full of remorse. “Is it better?”
Shi Xueqian was still expressionless. “What do you want to do?”
Hearing this, the girl with the braids’ mouth twitched into a strange smile. She rested her head on Shi Xueqian’s thigh, her voice so gentle it could melt. “Of course, I want to let you know, Qianqian, who is the one who truly loves you.”
“Qianqian, do you know? We are the same kind of people in this world. Only I truly understand you. Only I truly love you.”
“The Xu family are all scumbags, and my family are also scumbags. We are birds of a feather. Our souls are broken. We are a match made in heaven.”
“Qianqian, only you, only you make me feel like I’m not alone in this world. Only we have a resonance of souls in this world. Only I love you in this world.”
Shi Xueqian seemed to have ignored the previous words until she heard the last sentence. She was slightly moved because Su Yu’s face flashed in her mind.
She seemed to have had the same feeling as the girl with the braids.
When Su Yu was around, she also didn’t feel like she was alone in the world.
If that feeling was love.
Then, did she love Su Yu?
Shi Xueqian looked at the person in front of her and slowly said, “Do you love me?”
“Yes, I love you, Qianqian. Today, I will let you know that I am the only one in this world who loves you. Only me, only me, Fu Xingxing.”
Fu Xingxing looked up at Shi Xueqian from below. She raised her hand and gently brushed a strand of hair from her face. Her eyes shone with a strange light, like a child asking for praise. “Qianqian, did you see the girl who fainted? She was following you. I knocked her out.”
“I know you don’t like cute girls. I know you like those ruthless, arrogant, and unconventional people. I can be more ruthless than Su Yu, and I love you more than Su Yu.”
“I will prove it to you. I will definitely prove it to you.”
Fu Xingxing nervously stood up, walked to an old speaker, and sat down. She took out her phone and started to operate it. Soon, light and gentle music flowed from the speaker, accompanied by a very harsh static sound from the old speaker’s unstable wiring.
She stood in the open space, enjoying the music like a fairy, and turned a few circles. She then walked in front of Shi Xueqian, a hint of schadenfreude in her eyes. “Qianqian, do you know? Su Yu was kidnapped when she was a child.”
Shi Xueqian’s eyelids trembled.
Fu Xingxing continued, “She was kidnapped, and the kidnappers tied her to a chair just like you are now. Then, to torture her, they put a pair of headphones on her and made her listen to music for three days and three nights. From what I’ve heard, when she was rescued, her eardrums had already started to bleed, and she almost went deaf.”
“But even though she was rescued, she was left with a psychological trauma. She can’t listen to very concentrated music. For example, she can’t listen to loud music in a closed room, and she can’t listen to music with headphones. I heard that if she’s in an environment full of music, she’ll get headaches, convulse, and in severe cases, she can even go into a coma and die.”
The matter of Su Yu’s kidnapping was a big deal at the time. After she was rescued, it even made the headlines, but the Su family quickly suppressed the news and deleted all related information.
But in the information age, there are always some things that slip through the cracks.
Fu Xingxing pieced together the story of what happened to Su Yu bit by bit, creating a complete picture. She learned things that even Qin and Jiang’s parents didn’t know.
Shi Xueqian’s eyes widened. Her pupils trembled uncontrollably, not just because Su Yu had gone through something she never would have imagined, but also because she realized what Fu Xingxing was about to do.
She tried her best to stay calm. “You’re in love with me. What does this have to do with her…”
“It really has nothing to do with her?” Fu Xingxing shouted. She saw Shi Xueqian’s whole body jump, and she became gentle again. “Senior, why are you in such a hurry to distance yourself from her?”
“It’s her! She’s the one who came out of nowhere! She stole your heart!”
“Qianqian, you’ve fallen for her! You let her take from you, and you even like her sweet demeanor!”
Shi Xueqian denied it. “I didn’t…”
“The only reason you’re in such a hurry to deny it is because you’re afraid of me proving that she doesn’t love you at all!” Fu Xingxing interrupted her again. After her outburst, her expression became gentle again. “Shh, senior, don’t make any more sounds.”
“Xingxing…” Just as she called out her name, Shi Xueqian’s mouth was stuffed with a piece of cloth, and she could only make muffled sounds.
“Qianqian, you called my name so nicely. This is the first time you’ve called my name in over two years of being in the same class,” Fu Xingxing said with a look of regret. “It’s a shame that whatever you say now would be defending Su Yu. I don’t want to hear you defend Su Yu.”
“Qianqian, why are you so anxious? Are you also afraid of the outcome?”
“Don’t worry. Even if the result isn’t what you imagined, don’t be sad. You have to know that I love you in this world. I will only love you. You will always be my number one.”
“But we can’t deceive ourselves, can we? We always have to accept the truth behind the sugarcoating.”
Fu Xingxing took the phone from Shi Xueqian’s bag, unlocked it with her fingerprint, walked to the speaker, and plugged a wire from the speaker into the phone. She then called Su Yu.
“Waaah, waaah…” Shi Xueqian struggled to break free, but the rope on her body, while not tied too tightly, was impossible to break. She could only make muffled sounds when she tried to speak.
She could only shake her head desperately.
No, she couldn’t hurt Su Yu. She didn’t want to hurt Su Yu for her sake. She didn’t want to owe Su Yu any more.
The moment the call connected, the music started on its own. All the sounds merged into one and rushed into Su Yu’s ears.
The music lasted for a full minute, meaning Su Yu didn’t hang up the phone for at least a minute.
Fu Xingxing turned off the music, put the phone to her ear, and said nonchalantly, “Junior Su, are you okay?”
Su Yu’s voice was amplified through the speaker. Her breathing was unsteady and clearly trembling, but she got straight to the point and asked for Shi Xueqian’s location. “Where did you take senior?”
Fu Xingxing chuckled. “I can tell you where we are, but only if you come alone. Are you willing?”
Su Yu: “Let me hear senior’s voice first.”
Fu Xingxing generously recorded a one-second video of Shi Xueqian and sent it to her.
After seeing the video, Su Yu immediately said, “Send me the address.”
A strange smile appeared on Fu Xingxing’s face. “But don’t blame me for not being reasonable. If you come, you’ll hear music that’s a hundred times more concentrated and louder than just now. Even so, are you still willing to come?”
Shi Xueqian desperately shook her head and made muffled sounds. Fu Xingxing just gently stroked her head and had no intention of freeing her mouth.
Su Yu’s voice had become much more stable. “You talk too much.”
Fu Xingxing’s eyebrows twitched. She hung up the phone and sent Su Yu a text message.
She knelt beside Shi Xueqian and gently stroked her cheek. “Her willingness to come is just the beginning. Don’t be too happy, Qianqian. The best part is yet to come.”
