You're so sweet (GL) - Chapter 24
Su Jingwan hadn’t expected to crack such a joke, but the thought flashed by, and she didn’t dwell on it much. Most of the time, she followed her heart and acted spontaneously.
There was no need for an exception now.
When Qin Luo heard what Su Jingwan said, she was a little slow to react.
Su Jingwan didn’t care about Qin Ziyuan, yet she had the presence of mind to threaten her? But what was there to threaten? So what if she took a photo? What could Qin Ziyuan do even if he found out? She wasn’t afraid.
If she could take this opportunity to stay away from the Qin family, Qin Luo would have won. She pondered it for a moment, but the words on the tip of her tongue stopped. Su Jingwan was still composed. She truly wasn’t sad or annoyed, which suggested that she might not like Qin Ziyuan at all, hence her indifference.
They didn’t like each other, yet they were often together and uniformly adopted a laissez-faire attitude towards the gossip. Why?
If they didn’t like each other, did she possibly have a chance? No, Su Jingwan’s ambiguous attitude was too deceptive. She couldn’t reveal her feelings too easily.
“If you have something to say, just say it.” Su Jingwan couldn’t resist lightly stroking Qin Luo’s eyelashes, unable to bear Qin Luo looking at her like that.
Qin Luo’s eyelashes were long and thick. It seemed she had only curled them and hadn’t applied mascara, but even so, when her eyes blinked and fluttered, she looked like a doll.
In terms of eyes, Qin Luo seemed more like a Eurasian than her. Su Jingwan’s eyes resembled the Su family more, and her eyelashes were not particularly long.
Perhaps Su Jingwan wanted to hear her answer, as the hand pinching her cheek also let go. Qin Luo found it amusing. This person was clearly a jerk, yet Chen Zifei said she was aloof.
She had also almost been deceived by Su Jingwan’s facade. Now, it seemed this person was just secretly lustful; anyone who didn’t get close would be fooled.
Qin Luo tilted her head slightly, “I have a lot to say. Isn’t it a bit unfair for Miss Su to threaten me like this?”
She deliberately lowered her voice, the tail end sounding like a soul-snaring hook.
“Why is it unfair? Didn’t you also threaten me?” Su Jingwan looked at her, like looking at a kitten testing the dangerous edge, intentionally luring it closer.
With Su Jingwan mentioning it, Qin Luo recalled their meeting at the Qin family’s old house. She was stunned by Su Jingwan’s identity and her relationship with Qin Ziyuan, and furious that the person she had been looking for for so long appeared like this. Impulsively, she went to the corridor and blocked Su Jingwan, who was coming out of the restroom.
To be honest, that couldn’t really be considered a threat. She just couldn’t resist bringing up the bar incident, wanting to see if Su Jingwan still remembered her.
She originally thought they could rekindle their acquaintance, but it was cut short like that. It was normal for her to feel aggrieved. She was so wronged; she couldn’t not let herself vent, right?
“That wasn’t a threat; it was a demand,” Qin Luo was somewhat displeased with Su Jingwan’s calm demeanor and wondered what she would be like if that facade was torn off. She stood on her tiptoes and leaned close to Su Jingwan’s ear, “A demand for what I lost during our first meeting.”
Su Jingwan chuckled, not dodging or flinching.
But she didn’t speak. Qin Luo thought she wouldn’t answer, as Su Jingwan was usually like that, but after a few seconds of silence, she heard her voice.
“Didn’t you give that to me?”
Qin Luo was silent again. Sure enough, this person was just secretly lustful!
Even if she did give it, she had forcibly kissed the other person. She really had nothing to say. Qin Luo stood back up, frustrated, and gritted her teeth, “Forced selling and buying, hasn’t Miss Su heard of it? It wasn’t a gift.”
“Forced selling and buying. You certainly know how to do business,” Su Jingwan looked down at her.
“That’s all thanks to your excellent teaching, President Su. I’ve been learning diligently,” Qin Luo couldn’t help but feel a little proud. Even if Su Jingwan’s words were more sarcastic, they were still a compliment, weren’t they? Wasn’t she praising her business acumen?
“Oh, then what compensation do you want?” Su Jingwan asked, going with the flow.
“Of course…” Qin Luo almost blurted it out, then realized it wasn’t right. Asking Su Jingwan to kiss her back now didn’t seem appropriate.
Qin Ziyuan and his little lover were out there being affectionate, and if they kissed now, it would look like an act of retaliatory affair.
So, maybe she should change it to something else, or it would be too weird, even though she really wanted to. “Since you are so tall, why don’t you try to pick me up?”
Being tall had no logical connection to being able to lift someone. Qin Luo mainly wanted Su Jingwan to hug her. Alas, including this time, what they called a hug was more of a coincidence. In fact, even when Su Jingwan got very close to her, she never proactively held her.
A kiss in exchange for a hug. Later, when she talked about it, she could say that although she didn’t get the beauty, she at least got a fragrant kiss and a hug, which she could savor. This was a profitable deal. Qin Luo’s mental abacus was clanging loudly.
Su Jingwan didn’t speak, seeming not easily convinced.
Qin Luo was anxious, “Why are you still hesitating over something like this? If you keep this up, I’m going to change my mind.” What was the big deal about a hug? Why the hesitation?
The moment her words fell, both of them heard movement from Qin Ziyuan and his group outside and couldn’t help but hold their breath.
“Xiao Chu, stop crying. It’s my fault. Will you please stop crying?”
It turned out that Qin Ziyuan’s fierce actions had made the person in his arms cry, and he was only now realizing he needed to console him.
“You jerk, you’re bullying me again. Why are you bullying me?” Fang Chu was sobbing uncontrollably. Being misunderstood was one thing, but he didn’t want to deal with this person anymore, yet he was still being treated like this.
“This is not bullying, Xiao Chu, I’m not bullying you.” Qin Ziyuan was also extremely anxious. How could he bully Fang Chu? He felt too much affection for him to bully him, but such words were hard for Qin Ziyuan to say, so he could only stare awkwardly at Fang Chu.
“Stop crying.” Qin Ziyuan clumsily wiped the tears from Fang Chu’s face.
The next second, Fang Chu pushed him away, “Don’t touch me. You already have a fiancée. Why are you still provoking me? Haven’t I been bothered enough?”
Hearing the word “fiancée,” Qin Luo quietly turned her gaze to Su Jingwan, only to see her watching the scene with even more relish than herself, almost ready to grab a handful of melon seeds to snack on.
“You are his fiancée,” Qin Luo couldn’t help but remind her. So please, don’t be so calm. Your man is about to run off with someone else.
“Who said that?” Su Jingwan countered.
“Hmm? What do you mean? You two have no relationship?” Qin Luo was startled, as if hearing something terrifying. She was desperate to confirm the truth of the statement, giving no attention to the people outside.
In the time it took for these few words, the people outside were about to come out. Qin Luo was oblivious. It was Su Jingwan who, with a slight narrowing of her eyes, pulled the stunned Qin Luo into the nearest room.
Qin Luo felt a moment of dizziness. In the pitch-black room, her foot twisted, and she tumbled onto Su Jingwan, her lips landing on a soft spot at the same time.
Her heart instantly began to race uncontrollably again. Qin Luo didn’t even need to confirm it herself, hearing Su Jingwan say with a half-smile,
“Oh, then what should I demand?”
Demand what? Damn it, she wouldn’t be kissing Su Jingwan’s mouth, would she? Qin Luo quickly tried to stand up but was pressed on the back and restrained.
“I’ve made up my mind. Equal exchange.”
In the darkness, Su Jingwan cupped the back of Qin Luo’s neck and captured her lips.
Following one’s heart means there’s no need to waste excessive effort on choices. Most of the time, one can pick the most satisfying option from many choices.
What was certain was that she was indeed very interested in the kitten, ever since the bar incident.
If Qin Luo hadn’t revealed her name that time, letting her know her identity, this initiative wouldn’t have been so late.
Yes, that time at the bar, when Qin Luo spoke and mentioned her name while flirting, Su Jingwan knew she was the daughter of the Qin family who had been living elsewhere.
The Qin family didn’t bring her back to J City, but Uncle Qin had arranged everything for this daughter in Luocheng. This was an open secret among the few interconnected families.
After Uncle Qin passed away, Qin Ziyuan mentioned it once in front of her, and she had met Qin Luo’s mother once before and had some impression. Combining the two, she quickly confirmed it.
After confirming, Su Jingwan felt it was a pity and immediately got up to leave, only to be surprised that the young girl was quite bold, even daring to forcibly kiss her.
It must be said that Qin Luo left a deep impression on her, making her regret more than once choosing to keep her distance at that time.
Qin Luo felt like a small boat anxiously adrift on a dark, turbulent sea. Her mind was blank, and everything depended on Su Jingwan, controlled by Su Jingwan.
Her lips were numb. Qin Luo gasped, leaning on Su Jingwan’s shoulder. The darkness amplified the senses, both sound and touch.
Su Jingwan was still rubbing against her lips, traveling up to her cheek, the tip of her nose, and finally her eyes.
Like tracing a drawing.
Qin Luo squinted slightly, feeling a little ticklish.
“What are you doing?” The words, spoken with a breathy quality, involuntarily carried a mesmerizing seductiveness. Qin Luo was startled after speaking. Heaven knows she just wanted to express her indignation, but why did it sound so strange? How could this Su Jingwan seduce her into doing something like this!
Though she couldn’t refuse herself.
Damn it, her biggest fear still happened. She truly had no self-control and had just fallen for Su Jingwan’s honey trap.
“We’re even,” Su Jingwan’s lips returned to Qin Luo’s, her voice muffled against them.
If Qin Luo couldn’t tell this person was intentionally teasing her now, she had lived her life in vain.
Her eyes had adapted to the darkness. Qin Luo looked up at Su Jingwan’s face, straining to glare at her, “You are seducing a respectable young woman into becoming a mistress. You are going too far.”
Su Jingwan gently massaged the back of Qin Luo’s neck, “No.”
Qin Luo pursed her lips, feeling somewhat excited, “What do you mean, ‘No’? Are you giving up on Qin Ziyuan? Or are you not trying to seduce me?”
Su Jingwan nodded in the darkness, “Mm.”
She didn’t know which question she was answering. Qin Luo asked again, “What exactly do you mean?”
Su Jingwan reached out and flipped the switch nearby. The room instantly lit up. Qin Luo squinted and then noticed that the room they had ducked into was a meeting room, and she was currently sitting on Su Jingwan’s lap, their eyes locked.
