You're so sweet (GL) - Chapter 27
Su Jingwan actually liked her WeChat Moments post, and it was a post from Yitian’s long-ago post. It was from a year ago when she encountered a stray kitten in the park. She bought cat food to feed it and took a photo with it
The cat was initially very cautious, wanting the cat food but not daring to approach her directly, just continuously testing the waters on the side. She had to wait for a long time to coax the cat to her side and take that photo.
Su Jingwan actually likes cats too?
In Qin Luo’s view, Su Jingwan wasn’t the type of person who would be into such things. Just thinking about Su Jingwan holding a cat made Qin Luo a little excited. But if she didn’t like it, why would Su Jingwan like her moment, and the timestamp showed it was this afternoon?
That was around the time she was working outside, right? Hmph, some people seem cold and busy with work, but are actually browsing Moments. Qin Luo was soaking in the bathtub, feeling very sweet inside. She held her phone and messaged Su Jingwan.
— Sister Su, you’re naughty, secretly checking out my Moments.
— Quickly confess honestly, how much did you see, and have you been thinking about me for a long time?
Su Jingwan didn’t reply.
“Strange, hasn’t she arrived home yet?” Qin Luo simply made a phone call. It was inappropriate to call others, but calling her own girlfriend was perfectly justified.
The phone rang for a while before being answered. Su Jingwan’s calm voice came through the phone.
“Hello.”
“Why did it take so long to answer? What are you doing? Are you home yet? Why aren’t you replying to your girlfriend’s WeChat messages?” Qin Luo complained, asking four questions in a row, with a hint of self-unaware petulance in her tone.
Hearing Qin Luo’s self-proclamation, Su Jingwan curved her lips. She put the documents in her hand aside and signaled to her assistant to pause for a moment.
“I didn’t see it just now. I’m home.”
“Then what are you doing? I’m home too, taking a bath. It’s so late.” Qin Luo was happy as soon as she heard Su Jingwan’s voice, but with a face mask on, she couldn’t get too excited.
See? She wasn’t dreaming. The great beauty really became her girlfriend and was talking to her on the phone.
“Looking at some documents.” Su Jingwan only then noticed the time. She frowned slightly and said, “Let’s leave it at this for now. I still have things to attend to. We can talk about whatever it is tomorrow.”
“Ah? No, wait… Hello.” Qin Luo was a little bewildered. The call was quickly hung up, and she didn’t even have time to say a few more words.
What the heck? How could this person just hang up the phone like that? Did she even have the self-awareness of being someone’s partner?
And it was so late. What was Su Jingwan still doing? Looking at documents? What was she busy with? She was already so busy at the company during the day. Wasn’t she finished yet?
Qin Luo was about to call back, but noticed she had a friend request notification. She clicked on it and saw it was from Huo Yue, the person she was supposed to have dinner with today but couldn’t.
Originally, they only communicated via text message. Huo Yue probably searched with Qin Luo’s phone number and found her WeChat account.
Qin Luo didn’t often add people and was about to directly reject it. Then she thought about it. She was in the wrong today. She had promised to go on a date with the person but stood them up at the last minute. She should formally apologize again.
She accepted the request, and just as she was about to apologize, Huo Yue’s message came in first.
— Miss Qin Luo, not sleeping so late? Smiley face.jpg
Since the person was so proactive and friendly, she couldn’t be too cold, right? Although at this moment, Qin Luo had no intention of chatting. She just wanted to talk to Su Jingwan and clarify things.
She simply expressed her apology directly.
— Please don’t be so polite. I’m not angry, just a little regretful. I wonder if I will be lucky enough to ask Miss Qin out this weekend?
No, no, no. She was saving this weekend for a date with her girlfriend. Qin Luo had no desire to continue the conversation. She politely declined, then casually sent a ‘sleeping’ emoji, and continued to bombard Su Jingwan.
Su Jingwan was currently in a video conference. The phone on the desk lit up several times, attracting the attention of the assistant in the video.
“CEO Su, your phone keeps lighting up.” Lisa had finished reporting today’s work and saw Su Jingwan unmoved, so she spoke up to remind her.
After all, Su Jingwan had just answered a call in front of them and looked like she was in a good mood. It must be an important call, possibly urgent. She couldn’t not remind her.
Su Jingwan shifted her gaze to the phone. The screen was indeed constantly flashing, because her little kitten had sent many messages, looking like she wouldn’t give up until she got a reply.
Even the silent mode couldn’t stop her ‘harassment’.
Lisa noticed a smile flash in her boss’s eyes, but it quickly returned to calm. Su Jingwan placed the phone face down on the desk and continued to look through the documents.
“Contact the planning department. Modify this proposal according to the direction we just discussed and submit it tomorrow.”
Finally, after explaining the last matter, Su Jingwan picked up her phone, only to find that the phone had run out of battery and turned off at some point.
After turning it on, she found that Qin Luo had indeed sent many messages and called, but it was already very late. Su Jingwan thought about it and decided not to call back.
On the other side, Qin Luo was very angry, but she was too sleepy. She lay down and fell asleep.
The next day, she arrived at the company aggressively, startling her colleagues.
“What’s wrong? Did she eat gunpowder?” a colleague next door asked.
“Has CEO Su arrived yet?” Qin Luo was really going to be driven crazy. What was wrong with this person? Had she never dated before? Didn’t she call back when she missed a call?
It was too much. This morning, she woke up in a daze. As soon as she touched her phone, she woke up, and then she was very angry, super angry. Su Jingwan hadn’t called her back, only replied with ‘Good night.’
Good night, my foot. She had to confront her face-to-face. Wasn’t she afraid of making her angry by doing this? Not caring about her girlfriend’s feelings like this was grounds for deduction of points.
“She came early. She’s holding a morning meeting with some executives inside,” the colleague replied. Their CEO Su always arrived very early. This quarter was busy, and meetings were common.
She came so early? She really is a workaholic. Qin Luo thought for a moment. Seeing the new hand warmer on her colleague’s desk, she was a little surprised. “Huh, did you buy it yourself?”
She was planning to buy one to give to the person, and the delivery hadn’t arrived yet.
“No, CEO Su had HR give it to us, saying she was giving us a new one because she ‘borrowed’ our things last time. This one is much more expensive than our previous one. I love it! CEO Su is very nice,” the colleague smiled.
It wasn’t just her; others also received gifts.
Qin Luo blinked. Thinking this way, Su Jingwan was indeed very nice, but what was with her not answering her phone last night?
Still very excessive. Qin Luo sat down at her desk, tidying up documents while waiting for Su Jingwan. After a while, she saw Su Jingwan wearing glasses, looking at documents while emerging from the conference room, walking straight back to her office.
Qin Luo immediately sprang into action, using the documents as a cover, and quietly entered Su Jingwan’s office.
“Already printed?” Su Jingwan thought it was Lisa. Just as she turned her head, she was tackled onto the office sofa by Qin Luo behind her.
Qin Luo’s tackle made the documents in her hand fall to the floor. She ignored them and just said,
“Bad person, I’ve come to demand an explanation.”
Qin Luo was crazy about the way Su Jingwan looked in her wire-rimmed glasses. She couldn’t resist reaching out, but Su Jingwan gently caught her wrist.
“Stop messing around,” Su Jingwan softly scolded, but without any sense of authority.
How could Qin Luo be afraid? She raised her head to find Su Jingwan’s lips and gently bit down.
Su Jingwan took a deep breath, changed her grip to her waist, pulled the person into her arms, and fiercely retaliated with a kiss until Qin Luo couldn’t take it anymore, melting into a mess and starting to whimper for mercy.
“Enough?” Su Jingwan asked.
“You scoundrel,” Qin Luo’s lips were numb. She leaned against Su Jingwan, panting. She originally wanted to teach Su Jingwan a lesson, but instead, she was the one who was taught a lesson. This person’s lung capacity was too good. And she had the nerve to ask her if it was enough. How could she bully someone like this?
Su Jingwan gazed at Qin Luo’s slightly red eyes, reached out, and stroked her hair. “Did you miss me that much?”
“Who missed you? I told you I came to demand an explanation! Honestly confess, why didn’t you answer my call last night and why didn’t you call back?” Qin Luo almost forgot about this. She was still angry!
“It was very late after the meeting. Weren’t you asleep?” Su Jingwan raised an eyebrow. She replied to the WeChat message last night, and Qin Luo didn’t reply to her, so she guessed the person was probably asleep and didn’t continue sending messages.
“You were in a meeting last night? No, that’s not the point. You should have told me. You shouldn’t rely on subjective assumptions about whether I was asleep or not and just not show any indication. CEO Su, are you listening?” Qin Luo said dissatisfiedly. She really didn’t expect Su Jingwan to be a flirt but also occasionally so ‘straight-girl,’ not even understanding this, needing her to teach her.
“Hmm?” Su Jingwan looked at Qin Luo.
“This is the basic rule of dating,” Qin Luo thought for a moment and said.
“Okay, I’ll try my best,” Su Jingwan responded.
Qin Luo slightly pursed her lips. “At a time like this, you should say, ‘Absolutely obey the command, my Queen,’ do you understand?”
“Little brat has quite the nerve,” Su Jingwan looked at her with interest.
Just then, a knock came from outside the door. “CEO Su, may I come in?”
It was Lisa. Qin Luo had planned to do something naughty, so she locked the door when she came in. Lisa probably had something for Su Jingwan and couldn’t open the door.
“I’ll go open the door, but don’t you forget about our date,” Qin Luo reluctantly got off Su Jingwan. Just as she finished speaking, Su Jingwan pulled her back, and she tumbled back into her arms.
“Lisa, make me a cup of coffee,” she said to the person outside the door.
“Yes, CEO Su.” Lisa turned and left.
Qin Luo blinked at Su Jingwan, who rubbed her hair. “Be good, alright, little friend?”
“I know,” Qin Luo was practically bubbling with happiness. What couldn’t she agree to? This Su Jingwan was really good with words, and her lips were so sweet. Her girlfriend was too wonderful.
Su Jingwan helped Qin Luo straighten her clothes and hair, then told her to go out and organize the documents. Qin Luo floated out, holding a few documents.
“Qin Luo, are you alright? We heard something fall earlier.”
“I’m fine, I’m fine. I accidentally dropped the documents. CEO Su is super nice. How could she do anything to me?”
It was just kissing and hugging. She wished for even more. Qin Luo suddenly felt energized and started looking forward to their date after work.
However, when it was time to leave work, Su Jingwan had a last-minute thing to attend to. Qin Luo was about to protest, but she was also called in to help, which meant working overtime. Unbelievable. She had only been here for less than a month and had already worked overtime several times. Tsk, truly the evil capitalist.
But at least the capitalist was her girlfriend. Working overtime with her girlfriend didn’t feel as irritating as she imagined. Watching Su Jingwan busy herself seriously, her heart melted.
Her girlfriend was so motivated. What could she do about her? Qin Luo helped print documents, made coffee, and got snacks. Although they were trivial matters, time passed quickly as she busied herself.
It seemed like a temporary project had a slight hitch, and Su Jingwan took charge of resolving it herself, which was why she was so busy today. Qin Luo strongly suspected that Su Jingwan directly involved her because she was too lazy to explain things to her.
They didn’t have much communication throughout the process, but after Qin Luo understood the situation, there was nothing to say except feeling heartache.
The project was almost completed around nine o’clock. Su Jingwan asked everyone to record their overtime hours so they could receive overtime pay. Qin Luo didn’t want overtime compensation. No, she shouldn’t say she didn’t want money. She wanted CEO Su to personally compensate her.
“Lisa, handle the remaining matters. Secretary Qin, come out with me.”
“Oh, oh, okay.” Qin Luo quickly grabbed her bag and followed Su Jingwan downstairs. It was past nine. Was there still a social engagement? She seemed to have forgotten to bring her recording pen. Should she bring a recording pen? “CEO Su, where are we going?”
Su Jingwan glanced at her. “Didn’t you want to go on a date?”
“A date? We’re going on a date now?” Qin Luo was very excited to hear this. If they weren’t in the elevator, she would have jumped up.
She wondered why Su Jingwan called her out alone. It turned out she wanted to have a private time with her. This person was truly a scoundrel. She didn’t explain things clearly. She should have touched up her makeup first.
“In my car?” Su Jingwan held the key.
“Hmm? Oh, oh, of course,” Qin Luo said. Otherwise, would they each drive separately? It would waste gas and wasn’t romantic at all.
Qin Luo got into the car and immediately opened her arms to Su Jingwan. “I worked so hard today. I need kisses and hugs from my girlfriend to feel better.”
Su Jingwan looked at her with a smile and actually leaned forward. Qin Luo quickly closed her eyes, but Su Jingwan didn’t give her the kiss she expected. Instead, she tapped Qin Luo’s forehead, pushed her back into the passenger seat, pulled out the seatbelt, and fastened it for her.
“Aiya, CEO Su is so stingy. She won’t even give me a kiss,” Qin Luo grumbled. She was so proactive, yet Su Jingwan wouldn’t even give her a kiss.
Su Jingwan was really too stingy and a repressed flirt.
“Be good. Let’s go eat first,” Su Jingwan said.
“Where are we going to eat so late?” Qin Luo asked. She was actually hungry. Although she had some snacks earlier, she still wanted some meat.
Su Jingwan named a restaurant. Qin Luo was stunned. That restaurant requires reservations in advance, right? There was definitely no space now. She voiced her doubt, and Su Jingwan smiled without answering.
Qin Luo immediately realized. This person clearly booked the restaurant in advance, planning to go on a date with her. Thinking this way, Qin Luo’s mood brightened again. Although Su Jingwan was busy, she didn’t completely ignore her. She still knew to book a restaurant for a date.
They arrived at the restaurant. Su Jingwan ordered the dishes, and almost all of them were what Qin Luo liked.
“Did you secretly investigate me? Why did you order all my favorites?” Qin Luo tasted a bite of steak, her eyes narrowing happily.
“Guesswork,” Su Jingwan said. When eating with Qin Luo before, she paid attention to the dishes she picked and roughly knew that besides her sweet tooth, she didn’t dislike anything. She could eat anything, especially desserts.
Ordering wasn’t difficult.
“Fine, maybe we’re just spiritually connected,” Qin Luo didn’t press the matter. Anyway, Su Jingwan often gave her surprises. One or two more times wouldn’t hurt.
After dinner, Qin Luo insisted on holding Su Jingwan’s hand and wouldn’t let go. Su Jingwan had no choice but to walk out of the restaurant hand-in-hand with her.
Su Jingwan was a VIP guest at this restaurant. The manager was a little surprised to see this and was secretly wondering if Qin Luo was Su Jingwan’s sister.
Of course, even if they knew, they wouldn’t care too much. Qin Luo didn’t care anyway. She was on a date with her girlfriend. Who could control her?
They were about to take the elevator to the parking lot when they heard a voice say, “Senior Su.”
Senior Su? Qin Luo turned around first, only to see a familiar person—Huo Yue, the one she declined again today.
“Miss Qin?” Huo Yue was also a little surprised to see Qin Luo.
“Hello,” Qin Luo was quite speechless, but her attention was on the girl next to Huo Yue. This girl was the one who just called out to Su Jingwan. The girl was very sweet and cute, and her voice was soft.
“Senior Su. It really is you. Long time no see.” The girl was very excited when she saw Su Jingwan turn around and hurried over.
Su Jingwan looked at her calmly. “Hello.”
“Senior, you haven’t forgotten me, have you? I’m Situ Yuan from A University, a junior from your batch. We took classes together before,” Situ Yuan said anxiously.
With her saying that, Su Jingwan naturally remembered her, but the impression wasn’t very deep. “Long time no see.”
The girl was very happy and started chattering, saying that she had been looking for Su Jingwan after returning to the country and didn’t expect to meet her here, and so on. Talking was one thing, but the light in her eyes was almost overflowing, which made Qin Luo very uncomfortable.
She quickly cleared her throat, then raised the hand she and Su Jingwan were still holding and shook it. “It’s really quite a coincidence. I didn’t expect to meet your junior just by going out for a meal. The junior is really cute. Sister Su, don’t you want to introduce us?”
While speaking, Qin Luo lightly scratched Su Jingwan’s hand a few times, and saw Su Jingwan narrow her eyes. “Behave.”
She then turned to Situ Yuan and said, “Sorry, we have other things to do and need to leave first.”
Situ Yuan’s expression changed slightly, and her smile froze a bit when she saw Qin Luo’s face and their clasped hands. “Okay, Senior. But could you give me a contact number? I’ve really been looking for you for a long time and really want to reconnect with you.”
Su Jingwan’s face was calm, with no intention of exchanging contact information. Qin Luo, seeing this, directly took out a business card from her bag.
“Here, this is Sister Su’s business card.”
No choice. She was the secretary, so she naturally had to share Su Jingwan’s burden in such matters. She had business cards, but the number on the card was the company number, not Su Jingwan’s private number.
Since Su Jingwan didn’t intend to engage, it meant this was just a junior she wasn’t familiar with. Anyway, she didn’t want other women getting close to Su Jingwan. This could resolve everyone’s awkwardness and wouldn’t leak Su Jingwan’s privacy.
Situ Yuan was stunned, her expression somewhat downcast. Huo Yue quickly stepped forward behind her and took the business card from Qin Luo.
“Thank you, Miss Qin. Then we won’t bother you. Have a good evening.”
“Okay,” Qin Luo blinked and gave her the business card. It was strange, though, why was this Huo Yue with Su Jingwan’s junior? But it was none of her business.
Seeing Qin Luo and the others turn to leave, Huo Yue felt a little uncomfortable, but when she turned around, she saw Situ Yuan crying.
“Don’t cry. Su Jingwan has always been cold, hasn’t she?” Huo Yue quickly took out a tissue to wipe Situ Yuan’s tears. Huo Yue didn’t know Su Jingwan, but often heard her name and rumors, so she roughly knew there was nothing wrong with what just happened.
“I know, but why is she so close to that girl? Who is she? Sister Yue, do you know her?” Situ Yuan asked.
“I guess so,” Huo Yue was even more depressed. The person she had been trying to ask out for a long time had somehow gotten involved with Su Jingwan.
Qin Luo pulled Su Jingwan into the elevator and couldn’t help but ask for credit. “How was that? I knew you didn’t want to give it to her, so I solved the awkwardness for you.”
“Do you know them?” Su Jingwan asked.
“No, no. How could I know your junior? Hmph, I want to ask you, what’s your relationship with that junior? She looked at you with such a pitiful gaze and said she had been looking for you for a long time.”
Qin Luo wasn’t exactly familiar with that Huo Yue. Well, just acquainted, but that was still not as close as Su Jingwan having a junior. And that junior was so strange, looking like she had ulterior motives for Su Jingwan.
Su Jingwan helped Qin Luo open the car door. Qin Luo got in, and the more she thought about it, the more wrong it felt. “Hurry up and confess honestly. You don’t have some unspeakable history with this junior, do you?”
It was only the second day of their relationship, and a love rival eyeing her girlfriend had already appeared. It was truly infuriating.
Su Jingwan also got into the car, smiled, and said nothing. Qin Luo was even more displeased. She unfastened her seatbelt, quickly climbed onto Su Jingwan’s lap, and stared at her. “Hurry up and tell me.”
“Little friend, do you want me to talk like this?” Su Jingwan looked down at her position, chuckling.
“Stop changing the subject. Quickly confess honestly.” Qin Luo tugged at Su Jingwan’s collar, pulling her closer, and breathed on her face. “If you answer well, there will be a reward. If you don’t answer well, you’ll be in trouble.”
Su Jingwan suppressed her laughter, reached out, and rubbed the back of Qin Luo’s neck, pressing her into her arms, and kissed her directly before Qin Luo could struggle.
