You're so sweet (GL) - Chapter 28
The two naturally went to Su Jingwan’s apartment.
This was one of the reasons Qin Luo deliberately didn’t drive.
She had been desiring Su Jingwan for a long time, so of course, she had to quickly consume the person entirely. It would be strange if she could still hold back at a time like this.
She absolutely had to possess Su Jingwan completely.
In a sense, the two’s intentions coincided. When Qin Luo suggested going to Su Jingwan’s place for a cup of water, Su Jingwan didn’t say much else.
Her apartment was bought nearby for easy access to the company, so they arrived quickly.
It was Qin Luo’s first time at Su Jingwan’s place. She had imagined it before, and seeing it now, she was somewhat surprised.
Su Jingwan seemed aloof, but her house was surprisingly cozy. The overall color scheme was light blue, and there was a bouquet of blooming lilies on the table.
“You like lilies?” Qin Luo walked over and sniffed them. Lilies have a very strong and intense scent, which was completely unlike Su Jingwan. Su Jingwan’s scent was a subtle, understated woody fragrance. That’s why Qin Luo was surprised to see this kind of flower in Su Jingwan’s apartment.
Su Jingwan also didn’t seem like someone who would meticulously tidy her house. How to put it, she had expected Su Jingwan’s house to be cold and sterile, like a show home template. Of course, it might also be that she didn’t know Su Jingwan well enough.
“The cleaning lady bought them,” Su Jingwan put away her coat.
“Did the cleaning lady also pick the curtains?” Qin Luo raised an eyebrow, pointing at the light blue curtains. It was unlikely for the cleaning lady to pick such a cute color.
Su Jingwan walked over, poured two cups of water, and handed one to Qin Luo, “The decoration company picked them.”
“The decoration company? Don’t you pick things for your own house yourself?” Qin Luo took a sip of water, then snuggled into Su Jingwan’s arms.
Su Jingwan put her arm around Qin Luo’s waist and hummed in agreement.
She wasn’t very good at this kind of thing. To save time, she just picked a color and outsourced the rest to the decoration company, and she simply moved in later with her bags.
Later, she hired a cleaning lady who asked if she could buy flowers. She told her to arrange it as she pleased, so a new bouquet was changed almost every few days.
She was rarely home and didn’t pay much attention to the changing flowers. There were different flowers for each season, and she didn’t focus on it much.
“Oh, how can you be like this? I thought you were someone who was very good at life,” Qin Luo chuckled to herself. It turned out they were two of a kind. Although Qin Luo studied art, she wasn’t very interested in anything else besides painting and matching clothes.
She had never bought flowers and would throw away any she received outside. Xu Shaotian was the only person she often hung out with, and Xu Shaotian also had no taste and wouldn’t bother with these things.
“I don’t know much about plants, but I understand life well enough,” Su Jingwan sat on the chair. Qin Luo immediately sat on her lap, and the two kissed again.
Whether it was because Su Jingwan was too good at kissing or Qin Luo was utterly smitten with Su Jingwan, just kissing like this was already too much for her. She felt out of breath, like a fish flopping onto the shore.
“Su Jingwan…” By the time Qin Luo reacted, she was already laid down on the bed.
The bed certainly matched Su Jingwan’s aesthetic: dark grey silk. She didn’t know if it was her own softness or the slipperiness of the sheets, but Qin Luo felt a sense of losing control of her body while lying on the bed. It was as if she instantly became very small, only able to shrink into Su Jingwan’s arms, gradually crushed and kneaded, then reformed and reborn.
“You’re too naughty.” Qin Luo’s eyes were still glistening with tears. She was panting lightly and glaring angrily at Su Jingwan. How dare she use such sheets? She couldn’t even grip them, and Su Jingwan wouldn’t let her grab the pillow either.
“Be good,” Su Jingwan slowly kissed her on the forehead, placed her hand into Qin Luo’s, and slowly interlocked their fingers, holding her hand tightly.
“Hmph.” Qin Luo turned her head away, only to be hooked back by Su Jingwan and kissed deeply.
Qin Luo was now certain that Su Jingwan was a jerk. She was simply too good at bullying people. She wouldn’t stop no matter how much Qin Luo cried out earlier, but now she was capable of such tenderness.
“I want to drink water,” Qin Luo demanded self-righteously.
“Wait,” Su Jingwan got up, putting on a bathrobe, and walked out. After a while, she came back with a cup of honey water.
Qin Luo looked at the honey water brought to her and, pouting, asked for a kiss first.
Su Jingwan actually kissed her, and then fed her a sip of honey water. Qin Luo almost burst out laughing. She thought Su Jingwan would take a sip herself and then feed it to her mouth.
But thinking about it was enough. That kind of scene, though sweet, was also quite sickening. Qin Luo drank half the cup, then asked Su Jingwan to drink the remaining half. Su Jingwan didn’t stand on ceremony, picked up the cup, and drank it all.
Qin Luo rarely saw Su Jingwan with her hair down like this. The more she looked, the more she liked it, and she couldn’t resist leaning in, hugging her, and acting spoiled.
Su Jingwan put down the cup, “Take a shower?”
Qin Luo: “You help me wash.”
Su Jingwan: “I don’t have a bathtub here, only a shower.”
Qin Luo looked up and smiled, “You hold me and wash. Who needs a bathtub?”
It was only after saying this that Qin Luo remembered she had told Su Jingwan she was taking a bath yesterday. Su Jingwan wouldn’t think she couldn’t take a shower without a bathtub, would she? Taking a bath was only occasional; she wasn’t that diligent.
Su Jingwan: “Okay.”
It was very late when the two emerged from the bathroom. Qin Luo was lazy and didn’t care about anything the whole time. She took out her phone to reply to Xu Shaotian’s messages.
Xu Shaotian knew she wouldn’t be returning home tonight and sent several disdainful emojis, calling her a friend-neglector for love. Qin Luo chuckled inwardly. Wasn’t this all for the sake of getting the beauty? Besides, Xu Shaotian herself had been a friend-neglector for love countless times, going out and forgetting everything. How dare she call Qin Luo out? Shameless, hmph.
Qin Luo rubbed her stomach. She felt a little hungry after the vigorous exercise.
“Sister Su, what are you doing?” Qin Luo called out to Su Jingwan, who was in the bedroom.
“Hungry?” Su Jingwan came out of the bedroom, holding a blanket. She covered Qin Luo’s legs with the blanket and rubbed her hair.
“Mm, hungry,” Qin Luo hugged the blanket. Su Jingwan happened to see her rubbing her stomach, so she simply admitted it.
“I’ll cook some noodles,” Su Jingwan said.
“You can cook noodles? You can cook? And wash the dishes?” Qin Luo was quite surprised. She had thought Su Jingwan’s kitchen was just for decoration.
She herself could cook congee, but that was because of a typhoon when the rain and wind were pouring outside. The cleaning lady couldn’t come to cook for her, and all the takeouts were closed. The cleaning lady was afraid she would starve, so she taught her how to cook congee over a video call.
Since then, congee was the only thing she could cook. Occasionally, she would go to the trouble of cooking for survival, and it was barely palatable.
After all, she didn’t need to cook at other times, and she seemed to lack patience for many things besides painting, so she simply didn’t bother with those irrelevant things.
“I can cook,” Su Jingwan said, looking at her like she was an idiot, “And wash the dishes?”
“True, after all, there’s a dishwasher for washing dishes. Sister Su is so amazing! I’m waiting for my noodles,” Qin Luo said with a smile.
Su Jingwan smiled and went into the kitchen to cook her noodles. Qin Luo secretly snuck over and hugged Su Jingwan from behind.
Su Jingwan showed no reaction and continued to boil water and add ingredients.
“Smells so good! It looks as delicious as Sister Su,” Qin Luo said, teasing Su Jingwan with a smile.
Su Jingwan finished serving the noodles, “Then eat more.”
The taste was genuinely good. Qin Luo found it delicious and ate everything. After finishing the noodles, Qin Luo volunteered to put the bowls into the dishwasher, then insisted that Su Jingwan praise her.
“Be good,” Su Jingwan was sitting on the sofa looking at her laptop. Qin Luo leaned in and saw that she was busy with work.
“Why are you always busy with work after hours? Your girlfriend is here. Your top priority should be spending time with me.”
Su Jingwan: “Didn’t you tell me to leave just now?”
A double entendre. Qin Luo’s old face flushed. “That’s not the same! Just now was just now, and now is now.”
Su Jingwan was so annoying.
“Go to sleep if you’re tired,” Su Jingwan said, then said nothing more.
Qin Luo pouted, knowing that Su Jingwan ignored everything once she got busy, so she stopped bothering her.
Su Jingwan had indeed pampered her earlier. Qin Luo was already very happy just being together with her at the moment, so there was no need to cling to Su Jingwan anymore.
This was the advantage of both being in the same company. Qin Luo saw how busy Su Jingwan was daily. Even when she wasn’t next to Su Jingwan, if Su Jingwan replied that she was busy during a chat, Qin Luo knew Su Jingwan was stating a fact and not just making an excuse.
While Su Jingwan worked, Qin Luo studied her from the side. Su Jingwan in her pajamas looked much softer, but she had a unique charm. Thinking about what just happened, Qin Luo’s little heart felt full and swollen, so strange. Just looking at her made her feel so happy.
So this was what it felt like to have the person you like. This feeling was completely different from meeting someone who simply caught her eye before. Why was Su Jingwan so special? Was it because she was more outstanding than anyone else she had met?
Qin Luo had previously thought she would quickly forget Su Jingwan and find someone else she liked. But now, Qin Luo felt it might last a little longer.
She noticed the small red mole on Su Jingwan’s left wrist again. She thought she had bitten Su Jingwan earlier, but she wasn’t sure where.
Su Jingwan wasn’t a talkative person. The most she said earlier was to tell her to be good. Tsk, she was treating her like a child and coaxing her. She was already as good as could be.
Qin Luo nestled beside Su Jingwan, suddenly feeling inspired. She ran to her bag and took out her tablet. She often felt like drawing, so she kept a small tablet in her bag, taking it out to draw whenever inspiration struck.
Looking at Su Jingwan now, she really wanted to draw. When she was nearly done with the drawing, she started chatting with Xu Shaotian again. She didn’t know how much time passed, but she eventually fell asleep without realizing it.
In a state of half-sleep, she seemed to be holding onto Su Jingwan’s hand, insisting on kissing her red mole. She didn’t know if Su Jingwan agreed, but when she woke up, she found that Su Jingwan was no longer in the bedroom.
“Su Jingwan?” Qin Luo rubbed her eyes and crawled out of bed. She noticed that the bed sheets had been changed, clearly by Su Jingwan before sleeping.
She walked out in her slippers and found Su Jingwan sitting at the table reading. Buns, soy milk, and fried dough sticks were laid out on the table.
“You’re up?” Su Jingwan said.
“Why are you so early? Good morning, girlfriend,” Qin Luo ran over and kissed Su Jingwan.
Su Jingwan kissed her back, “Go wash up, then come eat breakfast.”
“Okay! Smells so good! Did you go down to buy the buns?”
“They have them downstairs. A call gets them delivered,” Su Jingwan’s place was across from a small breakfast shop, and these small shops offered delivery.
“So that’s how it is.” Qin Luo felt like laughing for no reason. Whenever she felt Su Jingwan was out of touch with the common world, Su Jingwan would always do something that surprised her.
Who could imagine Su Jingwan would call to order buns for delivery? She had even thought Su Jingwan would be sipping coffee and eating toast, never expecting her to drink soy milk and eat fried dough sticks.
Of course, there was nothing wrong with soy milk and fried dough sticks. Qin Luo herself loved soy milk and fried dough sticks. It was just that Su Jingwan gave people a feeling of being too aloof and out of reach.
They went to the company and started their work routine. Su Jingwan was busy as usual. Qin Luo secretly went to her office several times, but she was either on the phone or in a video conference. She couldn’t even manage to get a kiss.
So, she had to honestly work, learning things from her colleagues, and then sneaking in some time to draw, adding details to the drawing she secretly made last night.
By the time it was nearly closing time, her drawing was almost complete. Qin Luo looked at the finished product and couldn’t decide whether to praise Su Jingwan for her beauty or herself for her exceptional drawing skills.
It was truly stunning. Qin Luo initially wanted to change it to her WeChat profile picture, but she felt that would be too deliberate. She had never hidden her sexual orientation, and she didn’t know if anyone on WeChat knew Su Jingwan. It was fine for people to know they were a couple, but they had only been together for a short time. If she started showing off their relationship now, and they broke up later, wouldn’t it be awkward?
Thinking this, Qin Luo secretly changed her Weibo profile picture instead.
This led to a flurry of compliments from her fans: ‘Your work is exquisite, madam,’ ‘God-level drawing skills.’
— It’s not that I’m amazing, it’s that my girlfriend is too beautiful.
After posting this on Weibo, her fans became even more excited, and Qin Luo was also very excited, especially seeing all the well-wishes from the “little cuties.”
Xu Shaotian quickly commented using her Weibo account: Madam Yizhihua, showing off your relationship is too much. [smiling face emoji].
Yizhihua from Luocheng: Here’s some more for you, eat your fill.
“Secretary Qin, are the documents organized?” Lisa’s voice startled Qin Luo. She had just started slacking off and thought she had been caught.
“Yes, they are,” Qin Luo handed the documents to Lisa, glancing at the time. “It’s almost time to clock out. Why is there another meeting?”
“Mm, there’s an emergency meeting. You also need to attend later to take notes,” Lisa said.
“Okay.” Qin Luo was planning to continue their date tonight. Alas, it wasn’t good that her girlfriend was too busy. Although she was proud, their time together was significantly reduced.
However, attending a meeting together could also count as spending time together, right?
