You're so sweet (GL) - Chapter 8
Qin Luo timed it perfectly, arriving at the office just as the lunch break ended.
She strolled in unhurriedly, opened her computer, and was just about to reorganize the meeting minutes when Lisa walked over and asked her to go to the CEO’s office.
Su Jingwan was looking for her? Qin Luo slightly raised an eyebrow. She had just been thinking about whether to make the meeting minutes a little better to see if Su Jingwan would praise her.
Although, she was almost ready to give up on this game with them, if Su Jingwan said something nice, she wouldn’t be unable to stay here for a little longer. Otherwise, this J-City was genuinely meaningless.
Qin Luo walked directly towards Su Jingwan’s office with a slight smile on her face. She subconsciously raised her hand to knock, but after pausing for a moment, she changed to a more provocative curve and pushed the door open.
“I heard you were looking for me? Is it…”
When her gaze landed on Su Jingwan, all the prepared lines in her mind vanished.
Su Jingwan in front of her was wearing silver-rimmed glasses, and her slender, long fingers were holding a fountain pen as she intently reviewed a document.
Qin Luo stared at her blankly. Glasses, fountain pen, shirt… damn, this was a complete seduction scene. Qin Luo bit her lower lip, not even daring to breathe too quickly.
But Su Jingwan wasn’t deaf or blind. Noticing Qin Luo, she took off her glasses and slightly raised her eyes, “Come closer.”
Qin Luo composed herself, a little uncomfortable on the surface. So annoying. Every time she saw Su Jingwan, her heart inexplicably fluttered.
She walked to the desk, speaking in a tone that was unusually devoid of the sticky sweet drawl from the morning, “May I ask what the matter is, CEO?”
“You ordered the lunch today?” Su Jingwan got straight to the point.
Qin Luo’s heart sank. Was this person looking for trouble? That would save her a lot of effort. She smiled, “Yes, I guessed you would like it.”
This was half-true. The fact was that the private kitchen restaurant also existed in Luo City, and the taste suited Qin Luo’s palate perfectly. She hadn’t expected this private kitchen to have a chain in J-City as well. As soon as she saw it when she opened her phone, she immediately called them.
Another reason was that the private kitchen owner knew Xu Shaotian, so Qin Luo also benefited from a VIP card. Because she was a VIP, they were willing to prioritize the delivery.
At least it wasn’t too late, barely making up for her mistake of forgetting to order the meal.
“It was indeed good,” Su Jingwan gave an objective assessment.
“I’m glad the CEO liked it,” Qin Luo smiled, revealing two dimples, looking both innocent and alluring.
Su Jingwan’s eyes paused slightly, “However, the company’s meal order this month is to commend the team for exceeding performance targets last month, but there is a certain reimbursement limit for expenses each day. For today’s lunch, which cost 300 per person, the company will only reimburse one-tenth.”
Qin Luo’s smile froze, and after a moment, she smiled even more brilliantly and charmingly, “What does that matter? As long as the CEO likes it, I don’t need reimbursement.”
Su Jingwan raised an eyebrow, “Your trial period salary is 5,000, which might not be enough to cover the deduction.”
“…” Damn, that’s too little! Qin Luo continued to smile, “It’s okay, I don’t mind.”
“I can’t let you pay out of pocket on the first day,” Su Jingwan said slowly.
“What’s paying out of pocket? It just means buying fewer handbags,” Qin Luo then winked at Su Jingwan, “I’d even be willing to pay with myself.”
“That won’t be necessary,” Su Jingwan’s expression was as usual, “JC is a proper company and doesn’t require employees to pay money or anything else. We’ll let this slide this time. Just make sure you do your job properly in the future.”
“Oh,” Qin Luo thought Su Jingwan was truly shortsighted and boring. She was rejecting an offer presented to her, but was happy to wear a green hat, apparently. The urge to throw a green scarf on her head stirred again in Qin Luo. “Of course, I’ll do a good job. I came here specifically to learn. Since I don’t know anything, please don’t be annoyed, CEO, and teach me slowly.”
“Indeed,” Su Jingwan said.
Tsk, seeing her look like she completely agreed, Qin Luo felt a bit indignant. She hadn’t even done anything well yet. She couldn’t help but say, “I can give you my meeting minutes in a moment.”
“The morning meeting minutes are required to be submitted half an hour after the meeting.”
Qin Luo was stunned again, “Ah?” She had to submit it in half an hour? No one told her that. She was still figuring out how to do it at the half-hour mark.
Su Jingwan smiled slightly, “It’s alright. It’s the first day. Learn slowly. You can submit it before you leave work.”
This person was absolutely doing this on purpose! Qin Luo angrily rushed out again, immediately pulled up the record, and started processing it. She refused to believe that with her knowledge accumulation, she couldn’t organize a perfect set of meeting minutes.
Su Jingwan dared to look down on her; she was going to shock her.
Qin Luo furiously made revisions with a determined air and sent the meeting minutes to Su Jingwan’s internal email half an hour later. Before she could even get up to pour a glass of water, the email was bounced back.
